  • Chage the scoope and it the halo rifle

  • Whats best for vermin control, 14.5mm or 20mm?

  • @derbbus

Hehe, how about a good old bazooka?

  • Seems great for extended perimiter defence. Like defending an airfield perhaps. Wouldnt like to carry the fucker around though.

  • it seems like a really good weapon, but I can't see its size/weight being practical on the battlefield, you probably need a two-man team to move it

  • had no idea 14.5mm was that stronger

  • So you can carry it out to the "hide" and slap it together without having to zero it in again?

Can it really justify the great weight and bulk? Or is this taking the concept of the "anti-materiel" rifle just a bit too far?

  • IT kicks up so many leave dirt and dust i could see it a mile away but still cool 3-5

  • I just looked up boys AT rifle, and it was the rifle. Thank you. It said that it fired a .55 cal cartridge, But i dont remember. I thought is was a .50 BMG. Pretty cool!

  • The WW1 Bouys At fired a 20mm round in service. There were .50 and .55 training round versions but the service weopon was a 20mm. Hope this helps.

  • When I was 11 My stepfather let me shoot his .50 cal anti tank rifle. It was a relic from ww1 and you had to lay prone to fire it. The magazine was on top with bolt operation. It kicked like a mule and I think I lost a 1\2 inch off my hight. Can anyone tell me the name of that weapon, I lost touch of him years ago.

  • Boy's Anti-Tank Rifle. You are a blessed man to have had a chance to fire one!

    watch?v=rODm7HF5lFU

  • from WW1 it can only be the German "Tankgewehr" in 13mm.

  • i can see the muzzle blast being a problem in some terrain with the 20mm. The dust plume would giveaway your position.

  • I get pissed off humping my barret .50 through the bush

  • Use an all-terrain, all-purpose cart/sled (ATACS) or a folding mountain bike to be more mobile when away from your "mother" motor-driven vehicle like a M113 Gavin.

  • yes there are lots of options and Im not bagging this weapon, but there is no arguing with gravity

  • One tactic I can see in deploying this is the 2 man team infiltrate the area around the base and locate targets then call in an attack aircraft to strafe the area with canon fire. The aircraft distracts observers who don't realize the shots from the high ground.

When commanders see their expensive equipment full of 20mm holes they assume the plane did it while the sniper team make a discreet exit.

Of course this assumes the snipers can get even a micro-lite with taped on shotgun.

  • EXCELLENT tactical insight and suggestion. You are war-gaming from the enemy's point of view.

  • Well thats the gun I talked so much about on sniper vids. Its the NTW 20 and is siuth african, tzh best sniper on earth! Better than any M600 vers or cey tach

  • Looks rather badass.

  • Brings to mind the Zeller-H of Battlefield 2142 fame. It's supposed to be an anti-materiel rifle, but almost everyone uses it as a regular sniper since it doesn't damage vehicles. It's still quite the mine-clearing device.

  • Make it 10Lbs lighter and semiauto and you'll have somthing.

  • Oh, that is so hot.

  • WTF HALO SNIPER durrrr

  • not only does it kick you back 15 feet it is also 15 feet long. lol.

  • NTW-20 Vs. Stryker Trucks = Checkmate.

That's about the size of it.

  • Reminds me of firing the Boys at armored vehicles in World War II Online / Battleground Europe.

  • The Boys Rifle was one of the main inspirations of the NTW-20 AMR. As the Japanese made little use of tanks in the Pacific, their Half-tracks, Pillboxes, and other so-called "Material Targets" (hence the designation, "Anti-Material Rifle --- AMR) were what the USMC mostly used them on.

The Boys was apparently quite successful in this role.

  • its the most powerfull sniper in the world...
