  • i love the zelda games

  • Was that a wrong note at 0:22 in the trumpets?

  • I have this poster!!

  • I can see Link running from Kakariko to Lake Hylian, with Navi calling him (and never been answered) and with those skeletons following him at night... and Navi calling him, of course, Navi was always calling Link.

This is not a song of a game, but a song of one of the best games EVER.

  • HEY! HEY! Shut the fuck up and LISTEN!

  • i loved skyward sword, but i dont think it was 10/10 worthy, the only 2 zelda games i feel deserve a 10/10 were OOT and TP. zelda just isnt zelda without riding on epona through hyrule feild.

  • @stephanlmao Epona is only in three games. So you're saying that thirteen Zelda games aren't real Zelda games. Yeah....wow.

  • @stephanlmao I admit that Link does lose A LITTLE of the fantasy hero charm without riding a horse, but that can't be the only quality that stops a Zelda game from losing its edge! Don't forget, he's riding a reliable, giant bird in Skyward Sword.

  • OH FUCKING OWL

  • LOVE THE PICTURE

  • =3= so that's why these weren't in the 25th anniversary disc that came with Skyward Sword. Because a bunch of idiots were clapping like idiots.

  • for some reason this reminds me of back to the future

  • @owned3w so true

  • Ocarina of Time, I love you so much! (*remembering when litle Link FIRST stepped out of the Lost Woods into the HUGE HYRULE FIELD!!!*)

  • @Clea23 Huge? Not anymore bro.

  • @Clea23 Huge? Not anymore bro.

  • This kind of reminds me of the music in Super Smash

  • all the soundtracks of zelda are awesome without a doubt ¡

  • A bit underwhelming. I like the rendition in SSBM Brawl better. That is orchestrated too, I think.

  • Lovely rendition, but why is it in mono?

  • @BloodTal0n Thats how they felt like doing the symphony. I guess.

  • @jimmykudo0 Yeah obviously, especially when there's other tracks from the same CD up on Youtube in stereo.

  • Perhaps the intentions were good, but people who attend a symphony need to realize that it is NOT complimentary to the musicians to cheer during their work; it is a grave insult.

It doesn't matter how "epic" the performance is that you are listening to; try and summon your inner-adult and behave rather than embarrass yourself like a hyper-active two year old. People who have the chance to experience something like this should try showing some respect for the performance

  • @TreJowy Yes! My English teacher have always told me that :)

  • @TreJowy I think you have missed the point and overall context of the event. This is for the fans. This entire event is fan service in celebration of the longevity of a video game series. People even cheer in normal symphonies when a song that has left an impression on the people listening begins and ends. Social convention is based on context and the context for this is not the same as the standard in general orchestral performances. This stands somewhere between a symphony and a rock show.

  • @MissMochibon And? I'm a fan; fan enough to attend the event, and I was embarrassed by the conduct of my peers. It's sad when cultural stereotypes of gamers bear themselves out.

And I am not sure what symphonies you attend, MissMochibon, but this is NOT common practice, especially for any performances that I attend. I doubt very highly that the performers appreciated this audience.

  • @TreJowy actually it's only recent cultural developments that dictate that an audience should remain quiet during a classical performance - a hundred years ago, cheering throughout the performance was as common as it is today at rock concerts

  • @supersexyswinging I'm sorry, but what is your point? Jim Crow laws were also acceptable 100 years ago. That was then, this is now.

Besides, as I recall, the 1913 Paris performance of Stravinski's "Rite of Spring" was met with the same collapse of etiquette that you are defending here, and it devolved into a riot. It was NOT acceptable then, though I will admit, I am glad that the response to such rudeness is not a violent riot.

  • @TreJowy My point is that the extreme silence and unnecessary decorum of classical performances today is probably a large part of what turns people off to the genre nowadays. If the point of music is artistic expression, the audience should be able to express their appreciation for the art as much as the musicians creating it. And relating this to Jim Crow laws is ridiculous and frankly a poor defense of your point.

  • @supersexyswinging Unnecessary decorum? According to you, perhaps. I, for one, am grateful to be a part fo a mature and respectful audience whenever I go to the symphony. The experience is so much more enjoyable without the immature noises you seem to find so acceptable. To myself and many others, such a thing is not only rude, it's like nails on a blackboard - we go to a concert to hear music, not to hear the audience.

When did it become acceptable to permit such self-entitlement?

  • @TreJowy To me, an experience is enhanced when it's shared. I (and most people) laugh more when others are laughing, cheer more when others are cheering, etc. Do you happen to like rock concerts, or concerts of basically any other genre for that matter? If not, then there's really nowhere to go; I wouldn't expect to convince you of anything if a quiet symphony is the only live musical experience you've had

  • @supersexyswinging I view music, all forms, as a personal experience, but that has no bearing on what we're discussing right now. The issue is that this was set up as a symphonic concert; if the intent had been to provide a rock atmosphere, then the pieces would have been arranged for a rock band to perform. The very medium that they selected for the concert dictates the intent behind the work. I think it's wonderful to feel, but there's nothing wrong with holding that to the end of the piece

  • Love it. I would have found it eventually if it wasn't for Ian but what every :D

  • I wish if I were there :(

  • Ian brought me here .. Even if smosh didnt help me here i wouldve found this anyways <333 forever a zelda fan

  • ian brought me here!!

  • EPIC WIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • incoming Smosh audience....

  • I bet if you were there, you'd be cheering too.

    Jealous bastards, hahaha.

  • 1.I would have much prefered if the artist for the pic had done each Link in his original art style, instead of trying to meld all of them together, and

2.(I know Im gonna get slammed for this) is that a deformed Picachu that OoT Link is holding?Seriously, i havent played the game ina while, and I have no Idea what the crap that thing is.(Please dont slam me to hard people)

  • @npthedarkside27 That's the Keaton Mask. It's one of the masks you get during the Happy Mask Shop subquest in Ocarina of Time, and it returned in Majora's Mask as an extra mask you need to complete the Kafei subquest.

  • Is it just me or does the Link from Spirit tracks look like he put on a few pounds?

  • @tristenj1992 Its the outfit...Its not very flattering. That, and the art style they used for the pic is weird either way.

  • 'The audience interrupts' - what do people expect from a bootleg recording? Oh my various gods...

  • Comment removed

  • AUDIENCE NEEDS TO SHUT THE FUCK UP THROUGH THE WHOLE SONG. IT'S VERY RUDE TO FUCKING INTERUPT WHEN YOUR TRYING TO LISTEN!!! Other than that, the piece is very good.

  • you guys need to calm down. it's fucking zelda, you guys would be screaming too.

  • STUPID AUDIENCE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @sebisman2 yea! this is not a stupid rock concert or sumfin'. It's a goddamn Symphonic band concert. STFU audience!

  • The audience is really annoying, but at least we'll be able to hear these songs uninterrupted on the CD that comes with the first run of Skyward Sword (I think.)

  • @nintendofreak247 I agree. If we hear the audience, I'll be pissed.

  • where did you get that picture?

  • Fucking audience needs to shut the fuck up until the end of the song.

  • @itachi705 They did?

  • @itachi705 watch your fucking language

  • @itachi705 Go to the concert, you'll act the same way.

  • @sanoichiro As a musician and a huge fan for Zelda, I beg to differ. I would go nuts at the end of the song.

  • @kurokujira4913 As a fellow musician and also a HUGE Zelda fan, I AM going to go nuts. The concert is going to San Francisco and I'm going. :D

  • @itachi705 Why? It's a video game concert... settle down, let these fans express themselves.

  • hey, how did you manage to get these records before the 25th? were you a special guest or something? :O

  • Comment removed

  • torrent ;p

  • Haaa...and I can't get to any of the concerts...T . T

  • Hey Listen!!!

  • @linktmbg23 the next person to say "Navi was annoying" to my face is gettin' knocked the f*** out!!! lol. I kinda miss not having a fairy companion, but I do have to agree with those people in only one circumstance: LoZ:OoT3D. She really was annoying in the 3D version. She would yell at you more often and "Navi" appears and flashes in the corner till you answer her in the 3D version. she didn't do that in the original!!! I still miss my fairy.

  • :D Great! Did you by any chance record the Gerudo Valley rendition?
