Best game ever :P I am starting my second season with my player. I got bored and randomly created him. Wish i woulda named him after myself, because he was the most succesfull player ive ever had. First year stats were: 243 hits, 52 home runs, 178 rbi's, 78 sb's, and 68 doubles. And i just started the new season, and my first atbat of the new season was a homer to opposite field... woot :P

I got MLB 09 The Show for PS3 and I bought myself a copy today for the PSP for those nights that I can't sleep :]

No there aren't which is really homo when you think about it, because if the ds can have umps, why couldnt the psp? I think the producers had to leave it out because it runs too slow with the added detail.

I got the show a couple weeks ago for the PSP and I'm the starting pitcher for the Chicago White Sox in Career Mode. This game is so awesome. I hate MLB 2K7 because the graphics are horrible for PS2. That's why I bought the show. So far, it's amazing.

Hey Senor, I only own a PlayStation so I can't really speak for the other baseball games that are out this year but I have to tell you, I think this is definitely the best year ever for The Show. The improvements to the pitching and to the hitting, plus the umpire personalities really make it realistic. It's like a completely different game. Let me know what you think if you have a chance to try it out.

Is there much of a difference than the 06 version? The graphics look identical.

There are a ton of differences in this year's version.

API- Adaptive Pitching Intelligence - Your catcher will analyze the weaknesses of the batter and then call the pitches for you. You can trust him or shake him off and go your own way.

The Umpires all have their own UNIQUE PERSONALITIES. They have their own definition of the strike zone and all call the plate differently.
