  • Those chaps don't cover the most valuable parts. What about the boys. On the bright side, he can still relieve himself without 'un-installing' the chaps. Wow, expert village really lives up to it's name. ; - }

  • lol sweet gardening gloves and can anybody tell me what chaffs are and how to install them?? haha

  • he's just wrote himself a death sentence...wheres ur hardhat!!...and it doesn't even matter if u use the saw for like 10sec.or less, alot of damage can occur with in those 10 sec. u should wear the saw trousers at all times!!.. at the end of the day I'd rather have my leg intact than hanging off!!...and i have no sympathy for people who don't wear them, and eventho that they know that they should be wearing them....its not my fault if they cut themselves real bad!!

  • @michaelkinnear

agreed, people who don't wear helmets think they look cool and hard, they wouldn't be so cool with half a head.

  • chaffs. ftw

  • lol ive never heard anyone tell me how to "install" a pair of trousers on my legs before

  • what is this mr rodgers?

  • i dont know what the law is over there, but if you went out in that head gear in this country you wouldnt be allowed to use a saw,,,full helmet, mesh NOT plastic visor - plastic steams up after two minutes when yer grafting - ear defenders RATED TO THE SAW accordingly, chainsaw trousers, steel toe capped CHAINSAW SPECIFIC boots, gloves...if you want to have a safety video on chainsaws, get a forester to do it. tsk tsk tsk

  • @oopartuk well in our country we don't go to 6th grade for chainsaws we don't have chainsaw laws we have OSHA laws but this is to the average Joe.

  • they aren't called chafs...their called chaps as in chapped lips

  • OMG CHAPS NOT CHAFFS. and please explain why they work too, not just another layer, if that was the case another pair of pants would work. They are filled with a fiber that gums up the chain and makes it harder for the chain to cut. A good pair will gum the chain up so bad it can do no harm. Tho kevlar is a bit dif, it still had the fibers.

  • This video is useless. I guess Expert Village adopted the 'leave no idiot behind' philosophy that public schools use.

  • dang you people have no respect for a guy trying to keep you safe he told you one leg at a time for dumb people like you brentheny

  • Dammit! He didn't tell us how to put the glasses on.

  • one leg at a time no shit

  • yeh hes ike this....

ok people it doesnt matter which way you put your legs in so im gonna leave the chainsaw on then ill put both me legs in at the same time....... what an idiot lol

  • @BRENTHENRY1989 I jump and put both in at the same time. This video was helpful in showing me that acrobatic safety equipment installation is not a good idea.

  • @BRENTHENRY1989 I jump and put both in at the same time. This video was helpful in showing me that acrobatic safety equipment installation is not a good idea.

  • @BRENTHENRY1989 Last time I put them on I tried jumping into them both legs at once to save time. I ended up tripping myself and broke my nose. I thought it was a good tip... *shrugs*

  • I am so glad to see people promote chainsaw chaps. I would argue though that any chainsaw use not just "heavy" use should require the use of chaps. $100 for a pair of chaps is far less expensive that a trip to the hospital.

  • All good - I've seen many a pair of chaps with chain cuts in them!

You forgot about the helmet. The helmet can provide a drop-down screen visor for additional protection and it can help prevent kick-back to the face and head injuries. It also adds protection from falling branches (widow makers).
