  • A lot of the 80's videos from the Cars had computer effects like this (or whatever they were LOL). I would guess they were some of the most technologically advanced videos for that time.

  • luuh this song ;*

  • I remember when they showed music videos like this one on MTV. Those where the days, now they only show crap on MTV.

  • fuck weezer

  • Always liked this song!

  • Robot Monster!! Love this video!!

  • This video makes me wonder; who's more obsessed? Is Ric Ocasek obsessed over this girl or is it the other way around? I think the girl is obsessed over him so much that she sees him everywhere.

  • O . O I HAD NOT IDEA THIS WAS A COVER!

Who came here because of Cars 2?

  • Anyone know who the girl in this video is?

  • @Dinoman217 Her name is Susan Gallagher. She was a model.

  • @enochmamon Thanks!

  • I miss the 80's, mostly the movies and music of the decade

  • Good Luck Chuck.

  • The 80's! I'm 46 and soooo glad I experienced it. Fun, happy, upbeat, colorful, lots of excess, and the music was so bouncy and happy and just plain fun. Miss it. Wish it would come back. The Cars just released a new album call Move Like This. Great tracks that take you back to their wonderful style!

  • @greginfl I feel exactly the same way. Just hearing this song now brings back so many memories and a mood that hasn't been duplicated since.

  • @greginfl but there wasnt Green day until the 90's but this is a great band

  • This song - You Might Think - The Cars peaked at # 7 on the Bllboard Hot 100 Pop Singles Chart on 04-28-1984

  • Really miss the teddies as well, great by-product of the 80's.

  • 38 people have trigger happy dislike button fingers. the cars are classic. if you don't like them don't look them up

  • One of the best roller skating songs ever!

  • I was born in 1993.... :( I really really hate my generation.

  • @ZombieHunter2619 i know what u mean 94 it sucks

  • @ZombieHunter2619 me too..our generation sucks :/

  • 38 people didn´t think.

  • if anyone was to make a cover of this, im happy it was weezer

  • Fuck weezer and moderatto this version its much better!!! 80's rocks!!!!!

  • @kevintotoleppard Moderatto is a very sad copy of 80 music and weezer could be

  • I wish I was part of this generation. Everything seemed better and more original. This generation can be so lame.

  • @chlopoxtwiggy Ohhh yeaa dude

  • Rick Is kinda freaky back then.

  • I enjoyed Your Short Clip

  • Fuck Weezer this is the ONLY Version

  • Cars 2

  • i just noticed his face didn't fall off at the end.

  • Weezer's version sounds like a karaoke version of this. Original is better as per usual.

  • Weezer's version is better.

  • AWWW Yeah, The Cars rule!!!!

  • Got to love those 80's music videos.

  • hahahaha....nice video....;p

  • Is there a site i can go to so i can add this video to my ipod.iItunes doesn't have it available.

  • @sammys70 just use a convertor to change utube vids to mp-3s dude....works real good, plus you get to choose which song version you want instead of just one on other sites...google it.

  • such great poprock

  • one of the best videoclips ever! so clever, so much fun in there

  • 2:35 EPIC FAIL.

  • 1:57 I saw it from my old 90's encyclopedia.

  • This song stuck in my head

  • The 80's sucked, but The Cars made it bearable. Remember, this video was made pre-digital. It was really cool to watch on MTV.

  • @redgreenjr Actually I'd assume that quite a bit of the technology that makes this video possible is digital. Still, groundbreaking for sure. Great song, and great video with a nice happy ending and wrap up.

  • Stalker video

  • Who neeeds Justin Beiber?????

  • @gregboyds - Kid, you weren't even *born yet*, so you don't know squat.

  • Very innovative, award winning video. Pop-craft at its best. LOVE the Cars. Can NOT wait for the new album "Move Like This" in May!!!

  • balls

  • The 80s were a pretty innocent time actually, now that I think back to it. I mean, you maybe saw a boob once a month and it was an event. Now it's as common as checking your email. there's no innocence anymore.

  • @droid740

To the point is getting boring

  • @pegazo00 if you meant "to the point it's getting boring" yes I agree.

  • man i wish i lived back in the eighties in high school when this song came out :)

  • the seventies were much better...1971-1979

  • It was great! I graduated in 1990.

  • This must be a different version, or it didnt play all the way through, because it didnt show the scene where Ocasek seems to take his face off and a mini flood pours out.

  • estos de the cars, no tenian ni una bicicleta pero se tiraron a todas las mejores modelos de su epoca con sus videitos

  • Early MTV loved this Video ran it it 24/7 when it first came out....For good reason!....it was like cutting edge Video in the 80's....Awesome!

  • Classic 80's....One of their best!

  • she is beautiful...

  • i know how that band feels. i have stalker-ish tendencies.

  • Esta cancion si que es buena hace mucho no la escuchaba!!!!

  • GOOD MUSIC Ð⌂£o

  • Ric is so beautiful. I love this song.

  • very good rock merci

  • geez, i used to love this video. still do. it's a shame that the theatrical talent isn't put in today's videos, with a few small exceptions. ric is great, always will be. what fun. and i love the comment below me and totally agree! :-)

  • Cars and Police... cops and robbers. Best two pop bands from the 80's.

    Then there's Supertramp ...

  • benny should have stayed leader of the band. he was so much cooler than ric.

  • @123laverdiere Please. Hit songs don't grow on trees and Ric wrote almost ALL of them. That made the Cars his band.

  • good music

  • Wow I totaly love 80's music videos... so much better than the crappy ones these days lol! the Cars own all other bands

  • its weird if this is the first cars video you watch and you think that he never takes off those sunglasses but you see a video why cant i have you and ur confused because you only see those two videos.

  • Ric I wanna date you :P

  • I am going to see outragous Cars tribute band, Talk Of The Town on Fri Dec 5. They are playing at Sundance in Rocky Point, Long island, Ny. Thats 60 mile drive from Manhattan (90 mins). The Police tribute band Invisible Sun is also on the bill.

  • THAT GIRL IS HOT

  • She's probably like in her 50s now!

  • pegame por preguntón pendejo

  • I'm forced to dance to current day shitty rap garbage at the clubs I go to.

I wish I could time travel back to the 80's clubs, I'd be in heaven.

  • hey there are still some out there.. you just gotta look :] then again I live in Cali so it's not hard for me, I just don't have my license yet. booo. -__- but yes I hate the music and dancing in today's clubs.

  • I love 80s music and i was born in 1984. I think things were much easier and more simple and fun back then. I am too shy to dance to music now days but when i hear 80s music i feel free and myself. They were classics back then unlike the repetitive garbage mostly out nowdays.

  • I think today's type of dancing is just plain gross.. these people have no shame! I get made fun of not dancing like that. hell, in my prom which was just a few months ago, I was showing off my dancing skillz. haha I did the Robot, the Sprinkler, the Lawnmower.. omg so many of them :] I just love these dances!!

  • Those were the best times for me at least. I'm so glad i got to enjoy the 80's and the clothing styles were fun. I know waht ever happenned to the good music. The 80s were the best!

  • The 80s were great. I think the fashion is heading back to the 80s if not the music!

  • @panamaerin ...yep

  • @panamaerin I was in high school in the 80's and even though High school itself was an unpleasant experience (I would rather have my eyelids sewn shut for a year than go through it again) but the tv shows and the movies reflect what a fun era it was. I also think people were more creative back then.

  • @ElectricIceCream Yep. Things weren't perfect back then but you had quality entertainment to take your mind from the bad stuff. That is the difference between those days and now. There is harldy anything to take your mind from your troubles.

  • I was a kid in the 80s and I think things were simpler back then! And great fun music like this was around. Everything is too much focussed towards celebrity now rather than just good music.

  • @aaronryanmusic

Of course they were simpler, you were a kid.

  • @aaronryanmusic ....soo true!

  • @aaronryanmusic if you think its bad now, see how it is in ten years

  • @aaronryanmusic - agreed.

  • @aaronryanmusic Dude everything was simpler when you were a kid, doesn't matter which era you grew up in.

  • this song is freakin amazinggggg

I wish I was alive during this era..

    90s kid, I am :]

  • Yeah, the 80's were the best! You had to be born in the 70's or before to have truly expereinced the best of the 80's. At lest you can see all the videos here. Back in the 80's was when MTV was the best!!! now I don't even watch it.

  • haha I hear you :]

Well, I'm hoping to look for an 80s club to go this weekend.

I love the 80s dances. I can't stand the way people my own age dance, it's so tasteless!

  • You are so right about the tasteless part. I'm not one to go clubbing but an 80's club sounds like fun. I never got into clubbing 'cause I was too shy to dance (sad) i only got the courage once during a homecoming dance to slow dance and they only played one slow song that night. ha, ha, ha.

But I'd much rather learn a dance choreography and then do it...not hard when you don't have to come up with steps.

  • lot's of 80s clubs in downtown disney in florida

  • Wow thanks.

  • nothing like the 80's

nothing is gonna be the same.

  • The Cars Rocked big time....Still do...Yep the Cats were the Cars

  • always loved this classic tune, so bloody catchy, came from a really great album also !!!!!

  • Very pretty young woman. She'd be in her mid to late forties now. The eighties were a cool time and I miss them.

  • That is Paulina Porizkova, Rick's wife! She is very fine looking to this day!

  • I think this is how they met.

  • think or know.. very good song!!!!!!!!

  • I loved this song and now it brings me so many memories... CARS kick ass...

  • At the Time, This was the GroundBreaker, this Video Made Them Legends, and Award Winners! Ya Gotta Love THE CARS, especially Ric, he is Hillarious!

  • 80's vids are so funny.

  • Not all of them were; some of them were really clever, others were just plain dumb and ridiculous. But THIS one, to me, is genuinely humourous. LOL (Not in a bad way).

  • Rick O. did not marry the girl in this video ... he married former supermodel Paulina Porizkova, who appeared in another Cars video, "Drive".

  • "94"?? Umm, I think this was made in 1984

  • Look again. It's 94 in a video countdown, not the year.

  • Love this song!

But how in the seven circles of hell did Rick O. ever bag that hottie in the video?? Talk about beauty and the geek

  • what a memories...!!!

  • Fantastico muy buen tema, me gusta mucho.

  • I love the cars! This song is one of my faves.

  • the chick in this video,he married her an till this day they are still married!!!!!

  • I love this vid and song so much, drama trivialised

  • really crazy video....but nice ^^

  • whos the hot chick

  • she's so hot

  • man this is great music! 420 all : ]
