with the pace being as slow as it was it seems like Mike should have taken Zenyatta up a little closer to the pace.... Z is amazing over coming that pace...

Darn it, Mike!! Wake up! It would be one thing for her to be beaten due to being genuinely outrun, but a completely different thing if it's rider error. It doesn't pay to take any race for granted. She is magnificent!

I think Mike left it a little late. I bet he was kicking himself after the race. Mike is great but he might have been a little too confident. He was used to almost taking a nap on Zenyatta the first half of a race. Zenyatta is perfect. Life is Sweet is a very nice girl too.
