It's a movie, it's a fun watch, enjoy it! It bends the facts, sure, but you can take it as "James St. James's vision" of what happened. He DOES in fact narrate the movie (well, Seth Green does), so perhaps the film itself is his own telling of the story and he intentionally changes things around.

I saw the movie and while I liked it, this was NOTHING like the Geraldo episode on which they appeared. Also, while they got the hair and the accent right on Michael's mother, his real mother is heavy set. God forbid Hollywood finds a fat woman to play the part. Also, the chicken wasn't on stage and Micheal's mother wasn't on stage either. Angel had on his red wings too. I don't understand why filmakers have to look over those easy details.

Film makers have to change some of these so that they can fit more into the story line. They couldn't exactly make a whole different sequence for his mum being upset over getting a bus home. it takes too much time and it would have been cut.

AND the fact that James St James was bald and Seth Green is not, Micheal Alig was brunette and Mcauley Culkin is not.

Hollywood always sucks bringing true stories to the screen.
