  • @Pam4Rob - I apologize, I spelled his name wrong. it's Xervier.. not xavier. My mistake.

  • Oh my god, he is SOOOOOO gorgeous!!

  • Hello, and thank you for your comments.

It is not really an issue of IQ. All babies can learn to read at an early age.

    Google your baby can read

  • Sry for laughing at 2.18, great video btw, what new has your son learned i noticed this video was posted 2 years ago?

  • wow

  • WOW! Not only is he cute and smart...he has wonderful parents. I am amazed

  • He's so darn cute and super bright, just like my little guy :) Well done!!!

  • u are a great dad :)

  • wow, this is amazing! Well done parents. We read daily to our little girl (7 mo old with Downs) and she loves it. This is truly inspirational to those of us who are yet to experience what you have seen. great job!

  • Wow that was so amazing!!! And such a cutie.......... Xervier is inspirational!! parents need a big pat on the back when they are as devoted as you.

  • awe he is cute!

  • It is so fantastic. Thank you for posting! Your little boy is very bright and so cute. It's so nice to see a parent showing so much pride in their child.

  • He is GREAT! :))))

  • he's good and you 're good job.. :)

  • what a little smartie :) this is truly amazing, Xervier is blessed to have this program and a loving family.

keep up the good work :)

  • good work

  • My son is hearing impaired and after surgery has also benefitied from this program. But what a fantastic clip this is, Xervier is inspirational- well done for your hard work in this, parents need a big pat on the back when they are as devoted as you. My only gripe with the Baby Can read Program is the lack of translation from American. OK diaper is nappy on 1 set of cards but we have to hear diaper and Zeeebra elsewhere. Wish they made an english or aussie version. Cheers

  • Wow that is so amazing! My daughter and her husband are adopting a baby girl with DS as soon as she is born in July, so I will be a new gramma! We were just talking today about how we want to use a similar program called Your Baby can read with her just as soon as we can. We are so excited and your video gives us great hope and new resolve to give her the very best we can. Thank you so much!

  • he is so cute!

  • what a cutie

  • ♥

  • he is sooooo cute!!

  • "inner construction of coherence" is a great way to put it (though I had to stop and think for a moment what it meant!). Thank you.

    Paul

  • Adorable!

Especially the inner construction of the coherrence of "chimpanzee" and "gorilla".

I don`t know ONE baby without DS, doing things like this!

    tissue4tears

  • wow, thats unbelievable good work as parents :D

  • ♥

  • He is so cute and smart.

  • A real inspiration. Our boy of 2 has Down's and we are going to try this starting today.

  • So Amazaing!! Truly each and every one of us are beautifully and wonderfully made. Xervier is truly remarkable, and kudos to his parents to take such pains to allow him to be all he can be. God bless. :)

  • what a cutie and so smart too!!! great job, keep up the good work xervier!

  • Es usted muy bienvenido.

¿Tiene usted un niño con Síndrome de Down?

  • omg thats amazing!!

    beautiful child!

  • hi xavierDad,

i am beyond words.. xavier is so smart! amazing, adorable and beautiful!

my daughter has ds too. she started signing at 18 months... i can imagine how much rewarding it is for you that xavier is doing so well. can i ask where u get the reading material you are using? is it Doman? thanks. GraceInHKG (youtube name)

  • He's ridiculously adorable and beautiful and smart!

    Such hope in him!

  • Thank you, that's very kind.

  • that is amazing. i have a 2 1/2 year old with downs and we havent even started trying to recognize words, shapes or even letters. he is very hyper active and i cant get him to sit still at all. we are working with colored blocks and stacking and sorting to help teach him to sit for more than a minute. how did you learn to introduce this to your son? you are doing a great job. keep it up!

  • i guess i don't know enough about down syndrome...i only thought this happened with normal kids

  • It's a relative thing.

With a "normal" child you would expect them to be reading like this by 9 to 10 months of age if they had the same amount of input. So there is simply a delay.

  • Just so you know... we, with children with down syndrome, prefer to use the term, 'typical' in regards to chlldren without ds vs. the term "normal'. I would want to know what term to use if I was on the other end.... so I thought I'd share as well as fill in all readers on this. Thanks,.

  • He's so smart! love him.

    Great job as a parent.

  • darling baby, lol, he does not like it when he gets it wrong even if its just a little wrong

    (gorilla chimpanzee)

beatiful to see father and son together

you make me smile you two!

  • Great parenting.

  • Amazing! Lovely child.. =)

  • i love him! what a smart boy.

  • Hi Paul & Family,

Our son is three and half years old and just started reading by sight cards. Gabriel, too, has Down syndrome. I just wanted to say that Xeriver is a clever fellow and just so handsome! Congratulations!!! And GREAT work, Xervier!

  • oh wow what a smart baby lol

  • Congratulations, Xervier. Still as cute as ever, huh? Lots of love from your proud uncle Boon.

  • So great. Hooray for Xervier! (Mark from Treasure Chest)

  • Dear Paul - absolutely amazing - brings tears of joy to my eyes. Xervier is a genius. How clever your whole family is for teaching and learning this. How totally amazing - well done to you all - especially Xervier - what a beautiful smart young man
