Thanx Man!

  • Dan, is it true that vitamix or blendtec hired you to sell their products while preaching about the raw food? I just have this feeling, even if I don't doubt your sincerity when it comes to your convictions about the raw food positive impact.

  • Oh lame blender, why do you thwart me whilst Dan the Man taunts by blending sesame seeds.

  • Thanks Dan...love the Spiritual sharing...

  • I can't stop watching your vids because you are sooooo Hot! Keep the shirt off and the recipes comin. Thanks

  • MeTube - haha love it!

  • Positive energy out, means positive energy back!

  • It's all about the VitaMix.:)

  • This recipe is the BOMB!!!! Unbelievably delicious! Thanks so much Dan!

  • Dude...you are awesome.

  • I am so agree with you, if you think pepsi is going to harm you then you shouldn´t drink pepsi. It´s all about the mind and thoughts!

    Great recipe! thank you.

  • i love these videos dude.....

  • Awesome video dude! Vegetarians rule!

  • Beautiful ♥ Thank you ♥

  • great video

  • this is a very good dish.......one of my favorites

  • how bout himalayan salt?

  • love his vids, really good. thanks man.

  • Thanks for this aewsome recipe! Your the Man!

  • Thanks for all the recipes - you sound like a very informed and genuine guy.

  • Enjoyed the recipe and the rambling, very good presentation. Thanks for posting!!! Can't wait to make it.

  • It's good getting a recipe that comes with eye candy. hehehe

  • this dude is awesome! i can totally dig it, haha.

  • I use the ancient sea salt and it really taste good.

  • Sea salt is alkaline, and you need salt when you engage in heavy workouts or live in very hot areas.

So I can't really see why sea salt is unhealthy from a scientific point of view. It shouldn't be used in excess of course

  • drink celery juice or put in smoothies, mineral salt isn't nearly as good for you as organic salt from veg's

  • in some cases, it has mercury in it, depending on the source.

  • very informative! thanks =)

  • I have a question about blenders...i just went 100% raw like two weeks ago..and figure its about time I get a blender..but I see lots of people using/talking about vitamix blenders and blendtec. But, there like 400 dollars so what does a 400 dollar blender do that a 100 dollar one cant? I mean I figure most people are using the expensive ones for a reason...but I have no idea what it is...

  • The expensive ones can turn a piece of wood into saw dust! The cheaper ones can't! The difference is RAW POWER BABY! :D

  • Carl Jung! theory in there with making dip. Nice ..keeps it interesting. And good way of looking at things that people might believe differently and thats fine. I agree finding what makes you healthy is more important than arguing when all bodies are different.

  • i saw a vitamix demo in a store recently. it can crush ice so if you want to make ice cream type desserts. cheaper ones can't work with ice as it will damage the motor.

also it can blend rice into fine powder.

you can also make soup from it as it's so poweful and fast it turns the raw ingredients into hot liquid.

i'm not sure if it's worth all that money though, from my own personal standpoint...

  • Oh it is worth it..I have one and use it everyday to make smoothies, soups and now tahini:)

  • raw foodists need this. yes!

  • @CeCeMendezz : It's way more powerful. I don't have one yet but when I make my smoothies with frozen fruit, there are LUMPS. Those blenders at Whole Foods are professional ones and a Vitamix would be the equivalent.

  • What is the blender you are using, please? Also I cannot stand lemons or their juice can orange or lime work? I really like lime and when you said cilantro, I thought lime. Thanks for the vid.

    Paraquila

  • Orange or lime works very well! :D

  • @paraquila It's a Vita Mix/Vitamix (sp?). I remember wanting to ask the same thing and then he mentioned it in one of his videos. You can get a good price through his website. God bless.

  • @paraquila It's a VITAMIX blender

  • The good lookn' fella knows his stuff. Thank you!

  • @5:10 - I'm going through the same thing....information overloading my brain and just letting it all go and trying to be normal :-)

  • I will try using orange instead of lemon or maybe in addition to? do the sesame seeds need to be soaked in advance? this recipe did not come out so great, but i'll try again...

  • Pretty good recipe. The lemon makes it really tart though, might try orange next time

  • Orange juice works great! :D

  • great vid. I am writing down this recope and will post a vid soon of making it. Keep trucking man. Peace.

  • dan the man is keepin it quantum lol

  • is the fiber pulp left behind in your juicer pretty dry after you juice leafy green veggies like cilantro and spinach? Or is it still very moist?

  • DRY! :D Works really well for a centrifugal juicer!

  • Ty for the recipes

  • why cn't the universe and soul be finite? What is the universe is just so big we can't comprehend it?

  • Love the recipes. Keep them coming.

  • SEA SALT IS BETTER! It taste better too

  • Just wanted to say I "dig the Spiritual Rants and you look Super Healthy and Happy..."let Life be... go with the flow" !

  • Thanks Dan, I was looking for the tahini, but could not find it in my rural area. Now I just make my own, I'm goin to make this for my friends over the holidays, happy holidays to you and Krista! Could you show us what you would have for dinner from time to time that's not just a salad. Thanks you two!

  • Alas...Dill.. a Polish staple.. has caught onto the rest of the world! Viva Polska!

  • Hey D Man, cool lodge! Thanks for sharing your recipe, I use to make similar and know the delicious flavor! i no longer mix like that but what really spoke to me in this video and touched my heart was your calm manner. You are so polite and friendly here, it's inviting. Not like you aren't always inviting but this video stretches an extra mile. You seem so at peace! i love it. That's one massive bowl of dip and a beautiful arrangement of veggies to dip! Mid video - words of wisdom - continued

  • such important words of wisom to live by Dan. You are doing it, creating a free spirited life - like a native american wolf... you are wise, cautious, open, strong and on a journey. You own it Dan!!! I hope you and Krista had a fun lodge veggie party!!!

  • hey krista and dan, life is so good, and i love your vids. always inspiring. take care and enjoy your evening!

  • ha niceone man, quite good timing there with my message man....thanks for the reply.....'let life be what it is'

  • wheres the apron u porno!

  • I hope you can at least appreciate the pants, LOL! :D

  • I made my husband a tahini soup once. He said NEVER AGAIN! LOL! Tahini is a condiment not a main ingredient! LOL!

  • really?! I like it straight and for dipping fruit or veggies in it straight! I just can't have too much or I feel off. :)

  • What's the difference btwn tahini & tahini sauce?

    From Google:

Tahini, also called tahina in some countries, is a paste made from ground sesame seeds. It is found in recipes such as hummus. Tahini sauce is a sauce made w/ tahini. A good example of a tahini sauce is the tahini sauce used for falafel pitas.

You can tell the difference between tahini & tahini sauce by the thickness. Tahini is usu. quite thick, while tahini sauce is thin and can easily be 'squirted' onto sandwiches & other foods.

  • Dan I laughed about the sea salt. We can be so crazy over the little's things like sea salt. Good stuff man.

  • Thanks for this recipe, Dan! Collective conciousness for sure...have you or anyone heard of David Wilcock's work? He's very much about that, and I'm understanding just a tip of the iceburg!!

I will definitely try out this recipe, thanks again <3

  • Looks great! I can't wait to try it. (:

  • Sea Salt is all good. High in Magnesium, is Alkaline and tastes great.

  • Garlic and salt??? oh my

  • Ramble on Dan. I have my own tune, within the tunes, within the one tune to deal with too, so I can dig it.

    God bless

  • is this your house?

  • No, it's the 'lodge' on the grounds of the RV park we live at. Our RV IS our house! :D

  • do all those sesames makeyou gassy? sarah and i are very sensitive to sesame andother seeds.. you seem to use a ton here and we wonder how it is on your belly when you eat your portions. thanks...

  • Thanks Dan and Krista. Looks delicious. May I ask how long this may last in freshness in the fridge?

  • Sure, about 2 days in an airtight container ;)

  • Cool banana's :)

    Thanks

  • Looks yummy!

Did you soak the sesame seeds first?

  • Love the way you think, Dan. "THOUGHTS BECOME THINGS...SO THINK THE GOOD ONES!"

  • do you ever steam vegetables,i do cause they say its better for you then raw, ether way there still good, can you dig it?

  • I like the juice recipes but this was cool too. I'd be interested in seing some of your other staples.

  • I was always wondering about TAHINI SAUCE.

thanks for another great vid... dan

I gonna try that tonight: )

  • is that your house?

  • Nope, it is the so-called 'lodge' on the grounds of the RV park where Krista & I live at! And our RV IS our house, by the way! ;)

  • I usually put the liquids in first, then I don't have to worry about it jamming

  • I think this is a simple and quick recipe. Excited to try it out!

  • Good stuff!! Can't wait to try this recipe! Thanks for a great episode.

  • "metube"...i love it!!! lol

  • Sounds amazing, but don't they use lime juice in Tahini? Would using lime cause any major change to the health benefits? I love Tahini so I am curios. I have a vita mix too, I love it! I'm curious, I just purchased a Breville Fountain Elite Juicer. Is that what you use at the RV? or do you use something different? I have been using the Jack La Lane juicer and its been OK but has trouble with green leafy stuff. If you do use the Breville, do you find the pulp is pretty dry when you juice? Thanks!

  • There IS such a thing as 'lemon tahini' - google it! Either lime or lemon are both good. Yes, I use the same Breville as you. It does leave a lot more pulp than the more pricey & more time consuming to use juicers & even though those juicers produce a higher quality of juice, they don't resonate w/ me as I'm a 'fast' type of person! I would juice LESS if I knew it would take me forever to juice & clean the juicer! Some ppl may dig the other types best! I offer the best of each type in my store!

  • I like that I can juice faster with the centrifugal juicers too. What I was trying to ask you is, after you juice your veggies do you find that the Beville Fountain Elite leave s the left over pulp fairly dry, meaning you get most of the juice out of things like cilantro and spinach? Thanks, love your videos! Can't wait to try to make your Tahini Sauce! Do you also do a humus recipe?

  • The reason why it leaves behind more pulp IS because there is more moisture left behind in it! i.e., juice

All juicers only produce juice with no pulp, meaning all that is left behind is the same amount of fiber, etc....but in varying degrees of 'moistness,' depending on how efficient the juicer is. So if a juicer leaves 'more' pulp behind, it automatically means it is more moist...as generally speaking it isn't like some juicers remove more or less fiber than others!

  • Dan you are the Man, great recipe, great words, thanks again brother : )

  • mmmmm...

I'm gonna make some of this today.

  • I see those carrots, cauliflower and other veggies sitting on the plate in the background, and I want them! I bet the dip is really yummy. Thanks for sharing, Dan.

  • Interesting recipe! Looks yummy, thanks for sharing Dan.

  • hehe that's why you need the k-tec..

  • Those are good too, and I offer them in my store for those who prefer that brand.

Just so people know K-tec blenders are exactly the same as Blendtec blenders, they changed the brand name at some point.

  • Hey my Brother! after the snow storm we had yesterday here in Ontario I'm HUNGRY for that recipe! I like the new inside videos, feels like I'm over for a visit with a good friend, very relaxed, lots of love and respect. And thanks Krista, I've been having the apple-raisin-cinnamon combo since your vid. Ran out of raisins and used chopped dry figs which was great too. Shine on my Friends...

  • I caught her having an apple with only cinnamon on it today, how about that! Just another slight variation for those who are interested! :D

  • Thank you for posting this one - been looking for a raw recipe like this. Much love...

  • About how much dip does your recipe make?

Love your episodes! I always get excited when I see you've made a new video.

  • ~~~~~~~

  • what about sprouting the seeds?

  • Do it!

  • Can you replace the dill with another herb?

  • Yes! :D

  • You are amazing, in all ways xo

    five stars xo

  • You look like you're feeling a lot better ( not that you were actually feeling bad)....I just wanted you to know that I notice a difference.

  • Allison. I think what you see is mostly lighting and not how Dan feels. If he's in a well lit area, especially outdoors he is going to look more vibrant. Also when he films in the trailer he is usually lying down. It's hard to express energy when you're static.

Dan can answer you this better than I could, but I'm guessing that most of what you sensed was due to conditions and not how he felt.

  • Yes, lighting changes everything! It is amazing just how much when it comes to video! So I can't really answer this one straight as I'm always feeling up and down and all around just like every other human being on the planet! In a good way of course, it means I am human and regularly experience a range of feelings and emotions! :D

  • I can dig it! There is power in what we say and think! I love you for reminding us about that and spreading that awareness. xoxoxoxo

  • Originally I wanted to detox for 20 days and then after the 20 i wanted to eat healthy and work out. Well I made it 3 days and gave in. The funny thing is I felt so full of energy those 3 days! im an idiot for cheating because now i feel horrible and im going to try this again. Thanks for the love Dan.

  • Don't feel bad. I only make it 3 days at a time with the intentions of going more and then I eat something good for me, then slip into eating something bad for me, then worse, then I start over. It is these holidays and the cold. We have to do the best we can and keep trying. Maybe after Christmas it will get better. ;-)

  • Nice recipe! I start my raw journey Jan 1!

  • Why wait? Very few ever become 100% for lengths of time, so why not go mostly raw now and still have your holiday food? :)

  • I am getting a juicer, blender, etc. for Christmas so I am having to wait to go 100% but I eat what whole raw foods I can right now!

  • Awesome. I have a juicer (not a very good one) and I still struggle. The point is to keep pushing ahead and make healthy choices as often as possible and not get discouraged.

Two things I highly recommend are eating seeded watermelons when possible and squeezing fresh limes or lemons in your water.

Glad you're already making strides to better health!

  • Dan I love your recipes! They are simple and delicious and they are made with everyday things you find in a store. You should do an e-book full of your recipes. That would be awesome!!!

  • Religious reason not to eat salt? Please tell me more about that. My knowledge of the bible says salt is to be eaten.

Job 6:6 Can that which is unsavoury be eaten without salt? or is there any taste in the white of an egg?

  • Hey green2lean!

I meant 'religious' in this sense of the word (from my computer's dictionary):

treated or regarded with a devotion and scrupulousness appropriate to worship

  • I thought that you meant "religion" in the sense of being attached to one school of thought, but if someone had said salt was against their religion I wanted to know the details so I asked just in case :)

  • theif u live ur life according to 2000 old book u might not waNT TO EVEN WALK OUT YOUR HOUSE BECAUSE THOSE BOOKS SAY A LOT OF SILLY NONSENSE.,I MEAN COME ON LIVE VBBABY LIVE U AINT LIVING IF FOLLOWING SOMEBODY ELSE SHIT/ CONFUSION ANND DELUSION. EAT THE SALT ANE HAVE FUN.

  • I think we all already agree here that salt is a-ok, bro! You are preaching to the choir, as they say! ;)

  • Oh I thought he was being sarcastic about eating the salt. It sounded like he was arguing with me and I was saying salt is okay (healthy salts).

  • Butch, you can't even put together a complete sentence. The body cannot survive without sodium. You do realize this?

I'll take a 2000 year old book over most of the crap "science" has created in the last 100 years.

Do you watch TV? Do you notice how many class action law suits there are against pharmaceutical companies for man made drugs that cause cancer, heart disease, strokes and a slew of other fatal effects?

Please. Get a hold of your sanity Butch.

  • those are the years of jupiter

  • i failed on the raw diet after 3 days

  • Hey, don't say you failed, you're just making mistakes whilst learning.

  • no i failed trying to get back on track but,,,,,i dunno

  • Dude, I'm always trying to get back on track! That is what life is all about! Do you want to know the only real difference between those who are successful and those who are failures? Well, the successful people are the only ones who get up off of their butts again each time they fall down! If you ain't fallin down, then you ain't livin, you ain't tryin. Keep on trying, and keep on keeping on! I know you are strong!

    YOU CAN DO THIS! ;)

  • Hey bro! I'm going to repost what my original private msg to you was as we all could use this advice, including myself!

One small step at a time! Slow and steady! If you try to get ahead of your karma too fast you will snap back and it will not feel good! Compare yourself to yourself! You know what you need to do today to improve! Gentle discipline works! Forcing things does not! There is real power in the peaceful cultivation of your Highest Self! Today is the day to Love yourself completely!

  • Dan, I have been meditating on this whole idea of "fail" in regard to falling off the wagon so to speak. I can't get my arms around it. We are never going to be perfect. Why do we treat diets like all or nothing? We act like if we have three good days and a bad day then we failed and we start eating badly. There has to be a better way to think of the bad eating and I haven't come up with it.

  • I respect you not wanting to believe in the bible. I can't prove it. It's just my choice of faith just as you choose yours. I thought you were arguing with me and attacking my belief system. I felt like you were rude to me for no reason so yes, I fired back at you. I still believe the old testament holds value.

if you wanted to post that you don't believe in the bible, do that, but why post such an attacking reply to me over me simply responding to something Dan said in his video?

  • Please show some respect to my good friend green2lean. Everyone has different beliefs and mine are different than his as well, but who cares? I've never met one person who had the same beliefs as another person. That would make the world a very boring place. Let's keep the peace. Thanks, man.

  • Hi! It's the ego which likes to see things as all or nothing, black or white, yes or no! So when 'you' see it as all or nothing, know that it's only your ego seeing it that way, as that is how it functions & it can't help itself. Your higher self on the other hand is above all that, so listen to that voice instead. How does one recognize that voice? It's the one that uses NO words! Ever! So no need to THINK of a better way to deal with 'bad' eating, there is no need to THINK at all! Listen! ;)
