soo good... the sound of that bass guitar, after listening to a lot of mogwai before discovering BOC, makes makes me associate that sound with Scotland, i've never heard bass like it from any other bands and those happen to be from the same country. plus the progression of that riff reminds me of dominic aitchison's style. other than that this track is pure, indescribable BOC, the track speak for itself....
@papermariofreak64 And that wasn't because it was a bad track. There were problems with copyright. I like the track, I don't really see why you think it's a mess. I'm guessing you're not a fan of Venetian Snares?
@zwerty007 Ah did not know that. I feel the track though has a great opening and then just becomes sloppy and sub-par BoC after the opening. I love Venetian Snares.
I remember I had this song running once in the background of the album that contains it (Peel Sessions) when I was trying to sleep, it suddenly crossed onto XYZ, And I JUMPED OUT OF MY BED I GOT SO SCARED. Shit was cruel, But felt so good.
@norfsidemasiv: No kidding.....I am now finding all this BOC music I have never even known to exist.... Could make a great box set or something. Or at least put it on amazon or something.
That "scary voice" in the beginning is the legendary British DJ John Peel-the guy probably most responsible for good music in the UK(and elsewhere) who is sadly now deceased. Good thing for us he was a BoC fan! Taste!
btw, thanks for uploading this-I've never heard this track.
This track more or less sums up how I feel when I'm in an impromptu race on my bicycle. This is kind of like the feeling I get when, no matter the victor, I know that I will have a good time. I would say this music is probably just after I get down on the drops and have started pumping on the next higher gear.
I'm not sure why I typed all of that, but there it is. I did.
@jdoggybizzle At the time of that comment I had a fixie (clipless) with a full Dura-Ace drive train (sub 20 lbs. even with the steel frame). I currently have a white S-WORKS cyclocross with an Ultegra gruppo and fat-ass white 700x35s front and rear. Now, when I go on rides, I have to draft like a madman to keep up with the roadies. Its very good for the deteriorating roads around here, though.
I'm going to build up another steel fixie. I rather miss it.
thank you

Peel has a great voice, the song starts off good but becomes a mess (as much as I hate to say that). It was left off the EP for a reason.

I did not expect a fast, Aphex style beat, more of a half-speed hip-hop rhythm. Still awesome!

Very cool, but I heard the real one is roughly 9:38. Anybody have an MP3 of this? Full length, maybe?
By the way, they used the drums from Chinook. As if it weren't obvious >_>

It's not another version of the track. Just the same track with a snippet of the interview Mike and Marcus had with John Peel before it.

Unrealeased BOC songs are what make BOC even more greater.
Does anybody remember the BOC website about 4/5 years ago?
That music game was the most creative thing ive ever seen on any website. I can't believe they took it down.
Though it still lives on in my memory :)
