pretty good tune. He doesn't sound anything like the Beatles (a good thing). Just about the stupidest idea I ever heard is suggesting all the Beatles kids get together and form a band. Get your head out of the past.
@thegrinch17 I agree. I would say for its breadth, consistent (and often brilliant) song craft, and inspired quality of all of the musician performances, All Things Must Pass is probably the single best post-Beatles release. Note that Lennon and McCartney often made songs which became hits, but none of their albums, in my opinion, matches the overall quality and musicianship of ATMP. Plus...It’s a lot harder to make a masterpiece double studio album. PS Hare Krishna Dhani
@MrMrcool99 Dhani even has the same vocalizations as his Dad. Truly he father's son! Actually Zak Starkey is the most musically accomplished of the Beatles offspring with him taking The Who back to their TRUE form. A far better fit than Kenney Jone's, but Zak was too young at the time of Moonie's death.
Watch the '96 video of The Who concert replaying "Quadrophenia" in it's entirety with Zak in drums, particularly "5:15" @
/watch?v=2dYVKB1MRIE. A fantastic performance by ALL!
@Revolution1117 God bless Dhani, for the loss of his father, and best of luck with his own career!
I know the is Dhani's song/vid, but talking about the other Beatle "offspring", any "WHO" fan out there should watch "The Real Me" at the Royal Albert Hall @ watch?v=7dlN55SoF4Q&feature=related. The Who w/ Zak Starkey on drums just shredded this song! Enjoy!
@MrMrcool99 I dont think Stella has done anything musical, James however has played on a few of his dad's albums. Ringo's son Zak has played with The who and Oasis. I'm sure everyone has had that thought and it would indeed be an awesome collaboration but It'll never happen just because all are seeking thier own artisitc identities and have enough comparisons to thier parents already. if they were to do it they would have to go the anonymous route (even more so than the traveling wilburys)
that would be absolutely horrible. The Beatles were one of a kind, just because they are the offspring of them doesn't mean that they can fill in the places of their fathers. There was speculation that Sean, Dhani, Ringo and Paul were going to play a concert, but they all dismissed it immediately. They were pretty offended that people would have wanted that.
@Rush1013 pauls son playes great guitar,Julien ,dhani, and zak are all excellent singers .they could easily do early beatle stuff..its not exactly Motzart.
@MrMrcool99 For what, really? Just so they can be compared and judged by their folk's performances? I say, let them be authentic and share their own individual talents with us instead. SCREW COPIES!!
@MrMrcool99 Wouldn't that be priceless. The children are all talented just like their Fathers, and it's just awesome. It makes John and Georges legacy continue and honors them so much. It's facinating and very special.
Aside from the looks, you can definitely hear G's voice in Dhani and even the writing style is starting to move in that direction. All in good time, Dhani! Keep developing your craft...we look forward to some of your golden nuggets! Clearly Paul was a slave driver...you can understand how George was getting disgusted with having to live up to Paul's high standards. But that's how a good product can result sometimes.

He's obviously a talented musician and a pretty good singer. He looks so much like George, it's amazing! To all the haters out there, look at yourself before you criticize him. He's just a kid making his way in life without his father, trying to make some cool music. And George had immense talent. He was a fantastic guitar player, had a sweet voice, and wrote great songs. Ever hear of Her Comes the Sun? Or how about Something in the Way She Moves or My Sweet Lord. His songs were sweet
Dhani is a kind sweet young man I had the pleasure of meeting him and having a conversation with him he doesn't let having George as a father get to his head

All four Beatles were intelligent and gifted. George had a heart of gold, how can you say anything negitive about him! I do believe this is the first time in my life I have ever heard some asshole who clearly is either partly brain dead or did not live in the 60s 70s or 80s and was born yesterday and thinks they know all overnight. When the beatles split, IT WAS GEORGE who had the first no1 selling album. DO YOUR HOMEWORK or go back to school (if you're not already still in school)
I have to agree: If George Harrison were not his father, none of us would be here. Also true for the Lennon kids. It's a sad fact. In many ways, Dahni's curse is his father. ESPECIALLY if Dahni inherited his father's poor command of lyrics and melody. It's a shame that Dahni wasn't ALSO a Lennon kid. At least with Lennon, nobody could dispute your father's genius.
@TwoUselessLegs George Harrison was a brilliant musician, songwriter, and guitar player. He wrote so many beautiful songs and was such an integral part of The Beatles.
@LookingForMyLife: I suggest that you block TwoUselessLegs/thegrinchl7 (who are the same person); he will completely dominate your page with and harrass the people who have come to enjoy the music. He does this on every single page about George, Dhani or Olivia and also goes by frightwolf and captain spaulding. He is a scary wackjob desperate for negative attention.
@thegrinchl7 No one's saying that you MUST like George Harrison. However, going around trolling on George and Dhani's videos under different account names, constantly annoying fans and making up absolute rubbish without acknowledging any valid/reliable source is what's annoying. That is what you are doing.
@choobuka - Whoa! I'm a "troll" because I dislike George Harrison? You think I have multiple screen names because I hate George Harrison? Christ, am I responsible for the downgrading of America's credit rating because I hate George Harrison too? And where is the "made up rubbish" you speak of? George PLAGIARIZED the Chiffon's "He's So Fine" to make "My Sweet Lord" and was convicted of it in court. George SMOKED HIMSELF TO DEATH. George WAS a "clod"! And he did push his religion down our throats!
@thegrinchl7 then why go on videos and say it? we know all this. we still love him. i think you're the one getting angry because we (or I) simply don't give a fuck what you say.
@abridgedfan107 - Wait a minute: First you said that everything I say is "rubbish". Now you tell me that you KNOW what I'm saying is true? Ugh! Poor George! He always attracts the least interesting fan base!
@abridgedfan107 I told you, block him. He does not understand or care that this video is not about George and his opinions about Sr. Harrison are completely irrelevant to the performance depicted in this video. He will dominate the page if you let him and will argue with you for as long as you let him. You have the power to delete his comments and block him under all screen names. He is OBSESSED beyond rationality and a bottom-feeding loser.
@thegrinchl7 Needs this kind of protection? Haha, Harrison was a master guitarist and a brilliant songwriter. To think other wise is just being stupid. He was in The Beatles for f#ck sake! And he released alot of great solo material, you are clearly an incompetent retard or a troller... pity
@thegrinchl7 LOL you dont know what youre talking about - Harrison created some of the best Beatles songs. He just happened to be ina group with two other geniuses with bigger egos then himself. All things must pass is definitely one of the best Beatles solo albums. Go listen to your Wings records.
@CphLink - On the contrary, George had a healthy ego. Many times he fought for the attention of the camera or microphones. But how do you compete against the playful wit of John Lennon? How do you out charm Paul McCartney? Even Ringo had an engaging presence in front of the camera. George was in over his head. Far better to declare the mantle of the "quiet" Beatle than that of the "not very interesting" Beatle. This was all background to his poor musical skills. Little wonder he was so bitter.
@thegrinchl7 They all went through bitter periods, especially Lennon. Both Paul and John envied George his skills on the guitar and to me George had the best voice together with John. And double the soul of Paul and grace of Ringo.
I have to agree with The Grinch: Poor kid. I mean, if you're going to be the kid of a Beatle, you want John Lennon or Paul McCartney as a father. Or even Ringo! But Harrison? The PLAGIARIZER? The weak-link in another wise perfect musical ensemble? Beatle-Lite? I wouldn't even want George Harrison as a next door neighbor!
@TwoUselessLegs oh, yeah. I know who you are. You're that dude with all the different accounts who goes on every single video that can be remotely considered related to George Harrison in any way to talk about how much you hate him. You are too mentally unstable to realize that this only makes you look pathetic for being so entirely consumed with someone you've never met. Even if he had plagiarized, that's not your fucking problem, now is it? Or mine. Or Dhani's. Please seek therapy.
What a proud distinction: Your father PLAGIARIZED other people's music AND he SMOKED HIMSELF TO DEATH. All the while he crammed his ridiculous religion down our throat. My god, I bet you Dahni wakes up every morning, looks at himself in the mirror and says: "Why couldn't I look like John Lennon"!!!
@TheParallelTurtles - I feel sorry for Dahni. His father was, in the end...in spite of his association with the Beatles, projects a sad and lonely character. A clod. Dahni seems to be an improvement on the father. As for religion, what better reflection of our core weakness and fear than to believe in the lunacy of religion? Especially if they PUSH their religion on others like George did. Talking snakes and magic deities...Karmic forces and reincarnation. Pfft! Yeah...let's not attack religion!
the thing about having a famous dad is that you don't want to live under his shadow but is almost imposible not to like the famil buissness... isnt life funny?
How unfortunate. His famous father George Harrison (Beatle-Lite) is also famous for his dubious musical "talent". His father is more famous now for PLAGIARISING other people's music as he was for being a Beatle. While his father blithely preached the evils of polluting the planet and our bodies, George literally SMOKED HIMSELF TO DEATH. Flew a private jet, spewing all kinds of carbon. What hypocrisy! Worst of all, Dahni inherited his father's looks! Those big ears and those awful vampire teeth!
@thegrinchl7 That's really UNtrue. Millions of people know George because he was a Beatle, not because of a mishap on "My Sweet Lord." When he said "polluting our bodies," he meant spiritually. It's not like he was deliberately trying to kill himself. Also, he flew on public planes, like everyone else!! And a lot of people think their "big ears" and "vampire teeth" are cute, so if you're gonna hate on George and Dhani, you might as well do it elsewhere because people here LIKE them.
Poor Dahni. Much like his Beatle brothers (Sean and Julian), he's doomed. If he's TOO independent, he'll be ignored...his fans wondering why he doesn't wear a Beatle wig and sing "Yeah! Yeah! Yeah!". If he cashes in on his fathers LOOK and SOUND, he'll be trashed for exploiting his father's fame. The one good thing about Dhani's situation is that his father was no John Lennon. More of a back-up studio musician, Dahni only has to compete with his father's legacy as a PLAGIARIZER and minor talent.
che, que lindo que esta. supongo que no le debe gustar que por enesima vez le digan: es igual a su papa... pero no me leera, y menos si escribo en español. asi que, puedo decirlo tranquila... es igual a su papa.
this isn't meant as a dis, nearly a helpful hint because it's really nice you're uploaded and shared this but it'd also be nice is you put you lil advertisement in one of the corners instead of blocking nearly half of the screen and also who you're sharing here...thanks
@LookingForMyLife Er, no hablo espanol. Only word I understood was 'rojo'. apparently something or other is red. I'm talking about the message in azul that's slapped over Dhani Harrison throughout half the video.
@FlapTac36 Yes, I've figured it out. I did what the spanish lady said and pressed the balloon button. I'm not incredibly computer literate, so I didn't know what any of those buttons were except the volume and play/pause/replay. Thanks for trying to be helpful, although you are a day late and a dollar short.
@GKizer I've watched that one too; it just didn't show up in the search results before- at least not at the top of them. Anyway, I also know how to get rid of the blue bubble now, after the first person translated the spanish for me.
@teveve31 My question has been answered about 4 times; I've been clear on how to get rid of the message for a month. Guess I'll delete the comment, since people just keep answering it over and over.

@redrunnerld - Look, let's be honest here: while
George lectured on the evils of materialism, he
lived in a 120-room mansion. Bulldozed hundreds
of environmentally sensitive trees building a 2nd
one in Hawaii, then got sued by his neighbors for
shutting down access to the beach. He was convicted
of PLAGIARIZING. More disturbing, the man who
preached health... literally SMOKED HIMSELF TO
DEATH. George had a "heart of gold"? You know,
you can pity George but you don't have to LIE for him!
TwoUselessLegs 5 months ago
@redrunnerld - (Cont.) As for "All Things Must Pass"
turned out to be a bucket of rejected music the Beatles
never wanted. I think John, Paul and producer George
Martin knew a little bit about what good music is.
George's biggest "hit" was plagiarized. While this was
embarrassing enough, he then proceeded to make a
joke out of it claiming it was "unintentional". Never mind
that 2 witnesses claimed that George had intentions of
doing a cover of the Chiffon's "He's So Fine" for YEARS!
TwoUselessLegs 5 months ago
I have to agree: If George Harrison were not his father, none of us would be here. Also true for the Lennon kids. It's a sad fact. In many ways, Dahni's curse is his father. stenostud69 5 months ago
@stenostud69 - Yeah, I hear this from his fans. Still, I
have to tell you...I know a lot of musicians and nobody
quotes George or emulate his style. The young ones
often struggle to remember who he was. Although he
wrote 2 or 3 really good songs, many suffer a kind of
self consciousness. His lyrics can be awkward and his
melodies often rinky-dink. His voice was high and warbly,
almost efeminate. While he harmonized well with the
Beatles, George's voice was never meant for solo work.
TwoUselessLegs 5 months ago
@stenostud69- (cont.) As for his "soul", apparently this
was a rather recent invention. Soul means BREATH and
somehow, it got connected to the mythology of life and
death because it was the last "thing" to leave the living
body upon death (thankfully, most people don't evacuate
their bowels when they die!). I feel more sorry for George
than anything else. I swear, I don't think I've ever seen this
man happy. Considering his amazing good fortune, he was
a strangely petty and bitter man.

you do...to express an opinion. Why does it have to
be like yours? I haven't attacked George or his family
with name calling or obscene "troll" baiting. I simply
don't like George Harrison. Are you saying I MUST
like George Harrison? What kind of logic is that? And
who the hell is "Twouselesslegs" or these others? You
owe me an apology! (Tee Hee! I told her she owes me
an apology!)
thegrinchl7 6 months ago
@thegrinchl7 No one's saying that you MUST like George Harrison. However, going around trolling on George and Dhani's videos under different account names, constantly annoying fans and making up absolute rubbish without acknowledging any valid/reliable source is what's annoying. That is what you are doing.
choobuka 5 months ago
@choobuka - Whoa! I'm a "troll" because I dislike George Harrison? You think I have multiple screen names because I hate George Harrison? Christ, am I responsible for the downgrading of America's credit rating because I hate George Harrison too? And where is the "made up rubbish" you speak of? George PLAGIARIZED the Chiffon's "He's So Fine" to make "My Sweet Lord" and was convicted of it in court. George SMOKED HIMSELF TO DEATH. George WAS a "clod"! And he did push his religion down our throats!
thegrinchl7 5 months ago
@thegrinchl7 then why go on videos and say it? we know all this. we still love him. i think you're the one getting angry because we (or I) simply don't give a fuck what you say.
abridgedfan107 5 months ago
@abridgedfan107 - Wait a minute: First you said that everything I say is "rubbish". Now you tell me that you KNOW what I'm saying is true? Ugh! Poor George! He always attracts the least interesting fan base!
thegrinchl7 5 months ago
@thegrinchl7 hey, least i don't go around pissing off fans of george/dhani for kicks.
abridgedfan107 5 months ago
@abridgedfan107 I told you, block him. He does not understand or care that this video is not about George and his opinions about Sr. Harrison are completely irrelevant to the performance depicted in this video. He will dominate the page if you let him and will argue with you for as long as you let him. You have the power to delete his comments and block him under all screen names. He is OBSESSED beyond rationality and a bottom-feeding loser.
moonlily1 5 months ago
@moonlily1 - This video is "not about George"? Do
you REALLY believe we'd be here if Dahni's father
were not George Harrison? You can hate me all you
want but there's no need to throw your common
sense out the window! Now you wish to censor me?
It's strange that the ONLY Beatle that needs this kind
of protection is George. What are saying about George
when you do this? At any Lennon video, criticism goes
ignored. Why? Because we KNOW John is a genius.
With George, we're not so sure!
thegrinchl7 5 months ago
@thegrinchl7 Needs this kind of protection? Haha, Harrison was a master guitarist and a brilliant songwriter. To think other wise is just being stupid. He was in The Beatles for f#ck sake! And he released alot of great solo material, you are clearly an incompetent retard or a troller... pity
L3dang 5 months ago 2
@L3dang = George indeed was "in the Beatles" but so
was Ringo. It doesn't make you an equal. George built
his legacy on the backs of John and Paul. All Things
Must Pass turned out to be a bucket of rejected music
the Beatles didn't want. The biggest "hit" on that album
was PLAGIARIZED. While he harmonized well with the
Beatles his voice was never meant for solo work. His
guitar work was adequate but hardly a "master". He also
had a nasty habit of shoving his religion down our throats!
thegrinchl7 5 months ago
@thegrinchl7 LOL you dont know what youre talking about - Harrison created some of the best Beatles songs. He just happened to be ina group with two other geniuses with bigger egos then himself. All things must pass is definitely one of the best Beatles solo albums. Go listen to your Wings records.
CphLink 5 months ago 40
@CphLink - On the contrary, George had a healthy ego. Many times he fought for the attention of the camera or microphones. But how do you compete against the playful wit of John Lennon? How do you out charm Paul McCartney? Even Ringo had an engaging presence in front of the camera. George was in over his head. Far better to declare the mantle of the "quiet" Beatle than that of the "not very interesting" Beatle. This was all background to his poor musical skills. Little wonder he was so bitter.
thegrinchl7 5 months ago
@thegrinchl7 They all went through bitter periods, especially Lennon. Both Paul and John envied George his skills on the guitar and to me George had the best voice together with John. And double the soul of Paul and grace of Ringo.

@thegrinchl7 all i want you to do is listen to "Long, Long, Long" .
Now come back here after you have listened to that and try and tell everyone George is not as talented as the other Beatles.
MrPatchicoo 1 month ago
@MrPatchicoo - I've heard ALL of George's music
and without being personally insulting, most of his
work suffers a clunky awkwardness. George strug-
gled with music. For every good song he wrote, he
wrote 20 others that were just awful. Mind you, I
fully understand that John and Paul wrote their
share of throw aways. Still, many of their songs
had that quality that all Great music has. As if it
had always been. Except for maybe "Something",
none of George's songs have it.

oh... he's so cute! gotta love that smile and those eyes! =D =D
so talented too, i love thenewno2! good job, dhani.
abridgedfan107 6 months ago
I have to agree with The Grinch: Poor kid. I mean, if you're going to be the kid of a Beatle, you want John Lennon or Paul McCartney as a father. Or even Ringo! But Harrison? The PLAGIARIZER? The weak-link in another wise perfect musical ensemble? Beatle-Lite? I wouldn't even want George Harrison as a next door neighbor!

@moonlily1 - Yes, let's all pretend that Dahni and
the Lennon kids were NOT escorted to the front of
the line and that they made it strictly on their own
merits (Wink! Wink!). Let's all nudge each other in
the ribs and say that Dahni WOULD NOT be working
at a Starbucks or McDonalds if his father had not
been George Harrison (Wink! Wink! Nudge!) While
we're at it, let's all pretend that George Harrison was
a musical genius who's biggest "hit" wasn't PLAGIARIZED
(look it up, stupid!).
TwoUselessLegs 6 months ago
@TwoUselessLegs oh, yeah. I know who you are. You're that dude with all the different accounts who goes on every single video that can be remotely considered related to George Harrison in any way to talk about how much you hate him. You are too mentally unstable to realize that this only makes you look pathetic for being so entirely consumed with someone you've never met. Even if he had plagiarized, that's not your fucking problem, now is it? Or mine. Or Dhani's. Please seek therapy.
moonlily1 6 months ago
What a proud distinction: Your father PLAGIARIZED other people's music AND he SMOKED HIMSELF TO DEATH. All the while he crammed his ridiculous religion down our throat. My god, I bet you Dahni wakes up every morning, looks at himself in the mirror and says: "Why couldn't I look like John Lennon"!!!
thegrinchl7 6 months ago
@thegrinchl7
Your arguement is a bit well...stupid. Grow up. Oh, and if you're going to insult someone, at least don't insult their religion. ya TURD.
TheParallelTurtles 6 months ago
@TheParallelTurtles - I feel sorry for Dahni. His father was, in the end...in spite of his association with the Beatles, projects a sad and lonely character. A clod. Dahni seems to be an improvement on the father. As for religion, what better reflection of our core weakness and fear than to believe in the lunacy of religion? Especially if they PUSH their religion on others like George did. Talking snakes and magic deities...Karmic forces and reincarnation. Pfft! Yeah...let's not attack religion!
thegrinchl7 6 months ago
the thing about having a famous dad is that you don't want to live under his shadow but is almost imposible not to like the famil buissness... isnt life funny?
9paperbackwriter 6 months ago
How unfortunate. His famous father George Harrison (Beatle-Lite) is also famous for his dubious musical "talent". His father is more famous now for PLAGIARISING other people's music as he was for being a Beatle. While his father blithely preached the evils of polluting the planet and our bodies, George literally SMOKED HIMSELF TO DEATH. Flew a private jet, spewing all kinds of carbon. What hypocrisy! Worst of all, Dahni inherited his father's looks! Those big ears and those awful vampire teeth!
thegrinchl7 6 months ago
@thegrinchl7 That's really UNtrue. Millions of people know George because he was a Beatle, not because of a mishap on "My Sweet Lord." When he said "polluting our bodies," he meant spiritually. It's not like he was deliberately trying to kill himself. Also, he flew on public planes, like everyone else!! And a lot of people think their "big ears" and "vampire teeth" are cute, so if you're gonna hate on George and Dhani, you might as well do it elsewhere because people here LIKE them.

twouselesslegs- if dahnis father was such a minor talent, why arnt you doing better? you DO realize no ones ever heard of you. and no one ever will
novacaine30 7 months ago
