  • This should be a new MLG Event.

  • is this on xbox and if it is, is it in australia

  • @mralexforbes yes but its only in canada and us for now

  • I'm so glad there isn't any awful overplayed music on this game(with the exception of Sweet Home Alabama,Ewwwww!) In fact most of the music I had never heard and have grown to love the majority of it very much. I've been playing for years and have already gained skills from the month I've been playing. Right now I'm sitting on 15,000,000 RSP at level 10 Super Elite Guitarist about to crank it to 11! This game has a lil bit of everything as far as bands, styles, instruction and fun.

  • I really want this game! I can't wait to get a job so i can buy this!

  • being a drummer, pianist, and a gamer i cant wait to add another instrument to my list with the help of this game

  • I JUST LOVE IT NOTHING ELSE MATTERS...

  • @apostolis633 Now if only "Nothing Else Matters" by Metallica were in the game.

  • Haha they think guitar is a "game"! They could never learn the guitar with this shit in a million years.

  • @TheCowSaysMoow thats stupid ! i dont know how you say that whats the difference the notes appearing in the screen to use these fucking stickers and these little books with the notes you need to press Im sad that they dont release this 2 years before... but even knowing how to use a guitar its will still be fun to play... learn guitar is about 9O% pratice and 1O% sweat... and whats better to pratice then this game instead of a boring shit book !!!

  • @JJOOKER I don't sit and read books all day. That would be fucking boring ._.

  • @TheCowSaysMoow Yeah but every private teacher get you a lot of books and talk shit about musical scale and these boring things, lucky generation that have Rocksmith, you can use the musics and minigames to get agility with the fingers, you can use the musics to know the right notes and get the rithm ,and you can even play separate chorus of the music to learn the right notes all this without using books i hope more songs for download because i dont want to use books anymore !!!

  • @JJOOKER Not at mine..I practice stuff like Metallica, GnR, all sorts of music. I don't know where you took lessons but it sure does sound boring. When I first went in sure I had to read out of a book, to learn the notes, but I also did a mixture of book work and rock riffs. I don't even use books that much. But when we do go through books, we learn the basic stuff and then we add in all sorts of fun stuff like bends, sweeps, pinch harmonics and it's just not the same as the other places.

  • @TheCowSaysMoow I would know since I took private piano lessons for 3 years :P

  • @301188campos Buy a guitar then the game, that's the cost so it dele ds on the guitar I mean for Christmas I got a Gibson but you wouldn't need that to play a game... It just depends on how much you want to spend and wether you think you will continue playing outside of the game

  • sayin g that you could come back with "a real skill" doesnt mean anything when you dont have an ear for music... to me it sounds like this guy doesnt have it at all.

  • @theycallzachthenoob I'm not stalking you or anything, I'm trying to find reviews for this game, and this is the second video you gave someone a bad comment for trying to play. Are you jealous because maybe you cant really play? or do you just like to make people feel bad about trying to learn the guitar? Once again...your stupid

  • @ThisGuy655 go to my channel... i have been playing a wide range of instruments for a little over 6 years... im not trying to make people feel bad... im just saying that a game like this can only take you so far... you have to have the ability already in your head... i've always had kind of a knack for music... and everyone i've ever known that plays any instrument has this knack and always has had it... like i said... this game can only take it so far. but your better off learning to read tabs.

  • @theycallzachthenoob the game can take you really far its not different from these books with the notes... the person only need dedication to learn and its not only for guitar its for everything like school or job... if you dont have dedication this game will not help you and its the same for a private teacher... dedication is everything...

  • @JJOOKER Thats what i've been trying to say... and i've just been getting flamed... you need to have that dedication cuz this game isnt like rockband or guitar hero where a little effort goes a long way... people need to understand that it takes years of time and effort to get where the professional musicians are... so for alot of people this game will not get them anywhere... but for another lot of people it most likely will give them a true love for music...

  • @gabrielpedroso92 Yeah, but, it's not a bass guitar it's just an electric guitar.

  • how expensive is itt?

  • fuck sake gibson?!? people know how to throw out money -.-

  • holy shit! i havent seen fatal1ty since uhhh HALO2?!?!

  • how the fuck do you put the guitar cable in the xbox

  • @MatKiller1197 you plug your guitar into a small machine whitch is plugged into the xbox

  • @MatKiller1197 Language?, an adapter , i dnt get people who curse for no reason! >:(

  • @dachshund103 i'm just kidding man oh god!!!

  • @MatKiller1197 Then its the most stupid an useless joke ever,

  • FatalONEity

  • i have never picked up a quitar be4 would this game really be for me

  • fatal1ty omg, haven't seen him for a decade lol

  • @Sevyn 7up

chords and the while song it lets you chose single notes or combo which is exactly what it sounds like I play guitar for real and this is a fun way to get some good practice in

  • I can pick up notes just by hearing them, but what about cords, does it teach you to play whole song, or just the single notes?

  • Lol Fuck this shit.

  • why is every rocksmith video a les paul jr.? i had one and it is a bad guitar..

    go dean!

  • @greenmaster1234 it's not a jr. it's a special. even worse.

  • @greenmaster1234 Its the bundle guitar so they want to make that the guitar you think of when you think of the game. I will be using a 1996 Gibson All American G-2.

  • @dogking100 - It's all about smart marketing deals. Obviously Ubisoft struck a deal with Gibson's Epiphone division to package a cheap (overseas made) econmy guitar to get newbies started. Gibson figures if you do decided to stick with playing guitar you may become a future customer of their brand and opt later for a more serious models, this is how you farm future customers. Plus if you decide not play, it's not like you spent $1,500 on up on a quality Gibson guitar just to play a game.

  • I think you'll get as much out of this as you put in. If a beginner plays and really gets interested in guitar then I would think that they would seek out additional instruction and proper real world technique. If your learning just to play the game then that's all the better you will be, if you're playing to really learn guitar then I think the the games that teach you fret position and chords will be useful. As with any teaching software, it's up to you.

  • i don´t give a F@#CK to the visual interface..

Just want to play guitar without the original guitar togheter and have fun

gonna use it to practice, sure, but..

will I hear my guitar? or a synthesized akward guitar sound?

  • i wanna see someone play freebird on this

  • I'd love to see what you can do after a few months practice. UNPLUGGED. Play the riffs or even the guitar track without the game and shoot us a video in a few months. kk?

  • Scared? Will we all become guitar kickass guitar zombies? lol

    Will definately check out.

  • no bass no fucking bass here its that a game that dont have a bass

  • @oWARMACHINEo In one the interview videos I saw, they said they are working on a Bass add on but no release date has been set for it.

  • Does it come with the guitar? That'd be the only reason I'd get it because I play acoustic.

  • @R4nd0m0s1ty Yeah the $199.99 bundle comes with an Epiphone Les Paul Jr.

  • @toymasheenSH That's not too bad.

  • @R4nd0m0s1ty doesn't come with a guitar. If you have an acoustic you'd just need an acoustic pickup, and a standard guitar plug and you would be able to play the game.

  • lol @ the epiphone guitar. to me thats just funny that they made a guitar for a video game

  • @SkullKrusher777 no in this game you can plug in any real guitar

  • Rather play a real guitar.I don't play console stuff neither PC FTW only.

  • @TheSoulripper6 It is a real guitar and a PC version is planned

  • @toymasheenSH yes you can only play with a real guitar and PC version will be released in December.

  • @Rotorzilla You just replied to me with what I said

  • I had that same guitar when I first started...

  • Yea but there's a big difference between this game and Guitarhero..A REAL Guitar! And you play a fun game like guitarhero and learn how to play guitar at the same time duh.

  • This game is going to wind up just like Power Gig, Guitar Hero, Rock Band and every other music video game. Cool for a few months, and then we're all back to playing Call of Duty.

  • I'm still a bit sketchy on this. This might just be another music-gaming disaster like Rock Revolution and Power Gig were. I've tried them both, and I played Pro Guitar on RB3 as well. I really wished it wouldn't be another arcade clone like GH, RB and the others were. I'd rather they just teach the players instead of turning it into just another leaderboard-boaster kind of game. -Sigh-

  • @kensredemption Did you not enjoy RB3's guitar? I only played for a short time, but fell in love immediately.

  • @ChristopherConnors

I did, but the notation, regardless of how much I played Pro Guitar, was something I'd NEVER get used to. I was hoping RockSmith would take on a GuitarPro tablature, which it seemed it did at the beginning, but now it just looks like an RB clone. :/

  • @kensredemption You want a bunch of numbers flying across your screen?

  • @toymasheenSH

Not numbers, just dots representing which frets are pressed when I'm supposed to strum.

  • @kensredemption That's exactly what this game is doing just in a more gamey way. "The Rocksmith Method" is a new kind of tablature.

  • @toymasheenSH

Well...we'll see. I just think I might rent this first before I consider buying it. I wasted a shit-load of money buying the Pro Guitar, Pro Keys, AND Pro Drums for RB3 only to grow tired of the damn plasticity of the instruments. I'm saving up now for electric keys, electric drums, and if I can find confirmed reports of this adapter working for guitars to be used for RB3: This too.

  • @kensredemption Well if you rent it, make sure it comes with the RealTone Cable since with out the game will be a frisbee

  • @toymasheenSH

Ha ha, yeah I know. It's a funky looking cable too: The guitar part at one end, USB at the other.

  • I hope it gets harder then that.

  • rock on!

  • I just don't get it. Before it was "why don't you just play a real guitar". Now I'm saying "Why buy the game, just buy a book". I mean, if this helps you get into it or interested in some way then more power to you.

  • @IxProvenxI It's all about different learning styles. For some people interactive game-play breaks that mental barrier that some people have using the dead tree method. I learn by ear & that may not be everyone's cup of tea but at least I acknowledge that I could move to other methods if I wanted to invest the time.

  • People's time is very valuable even with small snippets of time it takes to practice it all builds up in the end so if you get more out of small snippets than an entire course with a trainer/teacher/coach then more power to them.

  • Lmao! Watching him play this can be funny. I may not be an awesome gamer like him, but I love playing guitar, and I hope Rocksmith has a lot of DLC for all kinds of metal. Technical Death metal from 80s would be the biggest reason I would buy this game.

  • @OfficialMikaUSA fuck death metal u gothic fuck

  • @vexedpine get a life troll. u dont know everyone online since your hiding your words behind a computer

  • @vexedpine LOLOLOL. Gothic? I'm not gothic man.

  • Sounds like a great game, but i'm pretty sure your going to pick up some horrible guitar habits that will slow down your guitar learning or less the experience/fun of playing guitar. Much harder to relearn technique correctly than to learn it the first time correctly. Unfortunately, it sometimes only possible by a teacher or another guitarist watching and correcting you.

  • @ufoolme I play guitar and its been over 3 years man and I only had a teacher for like 3 months. Anything you can or want to learn or help get you started can be found on the internet. Then you just want to jam with your friends that way you learn from each other. trust me thats the best way. after the first 6 months everything is eas. but im not sure if your a guitarist or not.

  • @mURDErfAceD402 yeah, i love playing guitar. The internet is great especially youtube but bad habits can be dangerous for your playing later down the line. It even happens to the pros e.g.,was at a Marcus Miller masterclass where he talk about going into physiotherapy due to RSI cant find a link but he talks about it.Not a major issue early on4fun etc and Nothing against the game, I'm going to get it! Hell I love all these kids learning real music

  • @ufoolme Thats cool! but your right there is some stuff you have to learn from other people. like that I learned warming up is just as important as learning new stuff. cuz i dont want to be like Dave Mustaine and have many surgeries because of bad stuff like that. i just hope that they add Metal music to the list of songs so I can learn some even heavier songs! \m/

  • @mURDErfAceD402 maybe some Dethklok! *insert link to Skwisgaar Skwigelf *QKki0cxYK1 :)

  • @ufoolme haha hell yeah!! Swisgar!

  • @ufoolme there will be video tutorials on disc that show you the correct techniques for playing guitar.

  • @ufoolme dude all the home taught guitarists that I know are better than the ones taught by teachers

  • @kritiqal1337 I agree, but I think you'll find that by being 'home taught' they play in a community i.e., they know someone that was better than them or played with friends. It's this community based of learning style that corrects the bad habits and techniques and corrects your playing style. I can't find it at the moment but there was a paper from someone at Sydney uni talking about this.My point is learning from a video or via feedback gaming you will develop bad habits that are hard to break

  • @kritiqal1337 lol you must know some shitty guitarists then

  • @kritiqal1337 It depends on the teacher and the student. My teacher was great, and I learned more in 5 months than some of his other students that had been playing for 3 years, just because I practiced every day.

  • @ufoolme so many great guitarists already have disagreed with this.

  • @jit3k like whom? The majority of great guitarists probably would have grown up playing with others in a community or a band. Good guitar doesn't happen in a vacuum.

  • @ufoolme fair enough, I was mores speaking on your point about needing a teacher but i see you didn't mean it specifically as instructor. Carry on

  • @ufoolme actually i have found it to get rid of the nasty habits ive picked up over the years teaching myself. It seems some what easier because it acts as a visual. and even though you usually want to stare at the frets. it distracts you from doing so and instead you watch the screen and your transitions between notes are smoother. idk just my opinion.

  • @ufoolme The abilities you learn from Rocksmith will be more than adequet for 95% of players. If your goal is to become some virtuoso super shredder, than learning musical theory is going to be far more important than perfect technique. And at the end of the day, as long as you can hit the notes, how you hit them isn't nearly as important.

  • @ufoolme Playing the proper way isn't always the best way for people to learn. If their playing the notes and they sound correct who cares what technique their using. Just let people play.

  • @OfficialRuin actually, it DOES matter, bad technique gives bad sound, it's extremely difficult to play fast, in fact, it's way more difficult to play any way you see it, and it can lead to serious health issues, like tendonitis or even carpian tunnel, please leave the advice and opinions about technique to the real guitar players

  • @thediem667 Well based solely on your closing comment about "real guitar players" automatically invalidates anything you have to say, because that just completely proves your opinions are driven on elitist and bias properties. You can't honestly expect any one to take you or your opinions seriously when you make such a stupidly ignorant comment like that. You are not one to judge what defines a "real guitar player" by any means. So keep your ignorant statements to yourself.

  • @OfficialRuin i'm sorry, you actually are right, I was having the worst day when I posted that, and the word I should've gone for is experienced, not real, and what I meant is a good technique leads to easier playing, more stamina, more speed, faster skill development and avoidance of tendonitis or carpian tunnel

  • @thediem667 Nah man it's all good. Everyone has bad days. All I'm saying is yes I agree good technique leads to more efficient playing in MOST but not all cases. Truly though just think about it. Who really can 100% confirm that the " right way " to play guitar or the " proper technique " is the best way to play guitar. The truth is you can't prove what technique is best over all. What technique is best for you as an individual is whats accurate.

  • Gratz man!
