i just dont think he has what it takes to win a championship anymore. I mean, i know he has 5 wins this year, is the points leader, and has 7 poles this year, but that is because is is with Hendrick Motorsports. I bet Rick Hendrick is making sure that martin's cars are better just so martin can win (because he usually does better than his teammates). Plus, he has had his chances to win a title, and never did; i HIGHLY doubt that mark martin will win the 2009 cup
yes hes in great equipment, but with his limited schedule in DEI cars for the previous two seasons he ran 24 races each season for a total of 48 races, and brought home 31 top 15 finishes and and average finish better than his current 2009 average in both seasons. and we cant forget his major success at Roush. Mark always had what it takes and always will until he retires. putting him in hendrick equipment just minimizes the probobility of him having equipment failures.
Yes, Mark is a very deserving driver that needs good equipment or he'll get a greater chance of getting equipment failures that mess up his chances for a championship.
