I kept meaning to get around to hearing these guys, and put it off for 20 -24 yrs. I have been a fan of metal since I was 9 in 1976, Black Sabbath was my first obsession. There are soo many bands, not enough time. I'm going to catch up on 220 V.

@seagullpoet They were part of the "FWOSHM" (First Wave of Swedish Heavy Metal). Unfortunately all bands, except Heavy Load and Yngwie Malmsteen, turned Hair Metal in the mid-80s. Check out Heavy Load, Europe (before Final Countdown), 220 Volt, Swedish Erotica, Treat, Easy Action and Talisman for other bands in the same genre. Candlemass are more Doom Metal, check them out as well.

Wow, I saw this band in Cph when they were supporting AC/DC (at the Fly on The Wall Tour). They did great but off course a hard assignment to open for AC/DC. But THAT night was great - it was ALSO thanks to 220 Volt it still was a night I clearly remember as it was yesterday. ;-)

I also saw them live supporting AC/DC during that tour but in Malmö. 220 Volt was one of my favourite swedish metal bands during the 1980:s, especially the two first albums.
