It also depends on wich CPU you have, not only the GPU. I reckon you have a better CPU and/or more RAM memmory. But you both have some nice score`s

you must have some driver problems and stuff cause i have a pentium D930 at 3.5Ghz and a 6600gt at 580/1200 and my score is 73000 u need to find your sweet spot when i first build my rig i was getting 57000 but after a little playing around and twiks i got a wopping 73,000. i think i broke the world record for the 6600gt lol

ok i have a 1 geforce 7600gs by gigabyte 512mb of 266 and a athlon 64 3500+ at 2.2 ghz.. mine pcie x16 i hit about 65,000 so like.. in sli i can totaly beat your scores in sli wih this card.. somethings holding you back!

One might be a lil faster then the other even if they are both clocked the same cause its how the card got off the production line mainly. I hope this all helps.

So in other words the extra 4 pipes and the extra 256 mb of ram didnt do aything at all, in fear that is but in 3dmark 05 I belive is what I also tested it on, the score improved by couple hundred points. not much of a gain though. But even if you have 2 7800gt from evga for example at the same clock speed, no 2 cards are going to have same indentical performance.

So when everything was set at the same exact speed. I launched fear with the 7900gtx with max settings and 1600X1200 resolution. during the first level, next to the barrel with the fire, you will notice quite of bit fps dips. So I wanted to see if my fps would change from both cards. And guess what folks, even with both different cards, the fps stayed the same.

I wanted to do something very curious. Before I had a 7900gtx I had a 7800gt. I had the speed on my 7900gtx set at the same frequency as the 7800gt. both are evga cards. I wanted to see if the extra 4 pipes and the extra 256 megs of extra ram made any difference in fear,3dmark,etc.

All this experiment was doing everything on my own time. And I never knew about about this stuff until I did my own experiment. Never even researched about this stuff. Although when new cards comes out of course I look at the fps and stuff. Just to let everyone know I did this one experiment as I was very curious of what kind of performance I would get. I can only write so much per line so look at the next line.

Now If I had my amd a64 speed at 600mhz now it was starting to lose some fps but not drastically.

Oh when I was mentioning about fear about staying at the same fps no matter what speed I was running it on with the amd 3700+ thats with ALL eye candy turned to the max. on with 1600X1200 resolution.

For example In Fear I had an amd 3700+ oced at 2.8ghz+ and my fps stayed the same as it did at 2.2ghz,all the way down to 800mhz. But like I said all games are going to run differently.

But some applications are different, take lineage2 mmorpg for example, even at 1600X1200 with 16Xaf 8Xaa I still get plenty of benefit from overclocking my cpu, I havent tried conroe with L2 yet going to soon though. some games like fear,oblivion,etc at 1600X1200 resolution with all eye candy turned on, cpu speed doesnt mean jack doodle doo. It will at very low poopie resolution.

now if you have your settings at 1600X1200+ resolution,16af 8X or more aa,image quality set to highest,etc. then sli will prove useful in this benchmark but at 1024X768 default resolution its morely cpu depedent then anything.

Sli is completely uselss with this benchmark at default resolution. At default settings this benchmark is highly cpu dependent. Just use one 7900gtx even though the 512mb goes to waste with this benchmark at default settings, alot of games dont use 512mb for that matter to begin with, and fire up a conroe e6600 oced to 3.6ghz+ and I bet your score will blow your mind out the water. Cpu in this benchmark makes a world of difference. Try it:one conroe cpu and a geforce 7 :).

SLI should be run at high resoultions 1280x1024,1600x1200, or higher. If you run at 1024x768 then you are basically wasting GPU resources. In other words you just spend a sh*tload of moolaa just for nothing.

i heard the ps3 will be using an nvidia chip called the RSX which is more powerful then 2 sli nvidia 6800 ultra...and it is fater then the 7800gtx....and by seeing the e3 videos of the next gen games ps3 showed i was shocked...and yet two 7800 must me atleast 20% stronger then the rsx yet the RSX looks much better...i say stop pc gaming and get a load of next gen consoles...even the 360 using an ATI chip called the xeon is stronger then a x1800 card...mightest well get the next gen consoles.

Also remember people can cheat on benchmarks with rivatuner. Alter the mip map lod bias. Mine is always in neutral when I do all of my benches. Also max frames to render ahead is always set at 255 with vsynch turned off when doing all graphic benchmarking.

I get about 106K with one 7900GTX. remember playing at that resolution 1024X768 with no quality settings is moving towards cpu favor then gpu. sli mode under 1024X768 with minimal quality settings is a waste. best thing to try for benchmarks is 3dmark05 or 3dmark06.

I dont get it, you got about 76000 on Aquamark3 w/ 2 7800GTXs in SLI, but I'm getting aobut 80000 with a single X1800XT out of the box. Are you sure you have this rig set up right? Maybe you're experiencing bottlenecking, because two 7800GTXs should be putting out much larger numbers than that.
