Is there a way to remove a program from the system tray completely while its still running? like you just hide them..but when you click on the arrow it comes back..like i dont want the icon to show at all...but keep it running also.? pls let me know
@mikiehj Yes I realize that now, I created another video showing how to do that. see /watch?v=TrFUf3grwyY - Creating services from the command line (windows)
possibly there would be a way to disable the taskbar too.. but, how about not starting the taskbar in whole windows?
when u startup, there wont be a taskbar at all? i want that because i got my own taskbar..
so it doesnt need to startup, i want only a specific program to startup, it needs explorer.exe i guess, but things like taskbar i really dont need at all..
Is there any way to show only wanted icons on the system tray and fully remove unwanted but necessary ones while keeping them running anyway? The little arrow annoys me ;)
HOLY CRAP! I THINK I KNOW THE ANSWER TO THIS ONE... go to start then go to run. type "msconfig" then go to the "startup tab". simply uncheck the boxes to the ones that you don't want to show up. I hope this helps.

yes ComputerHax1343.. very good, if you could do with a few icons, not all ... will be possible?

well yes, but that doesn't actually get rid of the icon, it just hides it, and when you click on the arrow, it comes back

You're quite welcome. :D
blwalla 3 years ago
ah, but thats because the services or programs aren't running anymore. I thought you wanted to hide them while they were running! my bad!
systemerror11 3 years ago
how do we do this but to remove only certain icons, while the program is actually still running?
