It is all right, but the 1dmk3 and 1dmk4 have the same frame rate, so that was upsetting that he put it as slower than the mk4. They should sound the same.

@asianhero3 i believe the distance within specifically semi pro and pro is little nowadays. d7000 is all everyone need. go to... freedslr(.)com remove () and try to get an opportunity to bring home completely new Nikon D7000

@libertywalkerof Performance certainly but ergonomics maybe no. The D7000 lacks a conveniently placed AF-ON button for those who shoot back button AF because they need that level of control over the AF. The ISO button is also poorly placed vs. the D300/D700. But for a 1-2K setup this might be the best body to get. I would shoot with a D700 because the view in the viewfinder in a full frame is huge and awesome. The D3 series still has unprecedented weather sealing that no lower body can match.

the 5D sounds like my A55, which has a 'faux' shutter, not really sure why companies are installing these when they sound like crap and can't be that much cheaper.

Very true, ive owned both Nikon and Canons and although the Canons sound good, Nikons always have that classic mechanical shutter/mirror sound. They dont sound electronic in any way.

Nikon's do have a slightly nicer sound, more clacky and mechanical. My 40D sounds more electronic.

D3S? D700? D7000? all these cameras are at least as good as their canon counterparts, maybe not as good in some areas, but better in others (e.g, the D3S has better high ISO abilities than the 1D Mk4, but the canon has more resolution and a 1.3x crop, which gives it more 'reach' for sports and wildlife).

I'm a fan of canon, but you have to be plain stupid not to recognise that nikon (and pentax/olympus/sony) all also make fantastic equipment.

im a canon owner and the only thing i can say annoys me about my camera is that artificial winding sound after the initial click. If you listen to nikons it makes one crisp click anyone else notice that?
