ive taken this guy down in less than 30 seconds.

abuse hypermode. dont worry about going into corrupted hypermode. take the hits for extra phazon and blast away. thats the key to optimizing hypermode.

for corrupted hypermode, you use 1 energy tank for 30 seconds of infinite blasting as long as you take some hits to refill your phazon meter

with regular hypermode, you can only blast them with so much shots before you start running low on health

He is perhaps one of the few bosses I ever regretted killing in the history of gaming. He's like the type of boss you don't want to pull the trigger on, after all he saved you like...3 times.

you really must not like using hypermode. you should do what all these other people said. go into hypermode from the beginning. use hypermode (not all of it, which means that if you charge it two times, you'll run out of phazon) and have enough to go into corruption. it made my life easier (even though i did that ever since i got metroid prime trilogy, and i never actually went on the internet to find it.)

you know, if you go into hypermode, and you get corrupted (the bar starts filling up, I wait for that to happen and you have a bunch of power aat your 'disposal'....it doesn't use up another energy tank either...

He succumbed to the Phazon that Dark Samus infected all four hunters at the beginning with.

The same happens to Samus if you let the Phazon overload you (When you leave Phazon mode on too long). So basically, he overused it, and that's that.

Hypermode fills up faster in hypermode ... Anysways it's much more intresting and amusing to fight him head on with powerbeam and misslies ... Fight with honor! Or the easy way with hypermode. This guy has skill

He's making the boss look a lot harder than it is-to kill the Rundas a LOT faster, go into hypermode after you've taken off his armor. It's much easier-you only need two hypermodes to win (assuming that all the shots hit).

my strategy is to get the hypermode into "corrupt" and let it regenerate phazon like crazy. somehow the corrupt hypermode works with u if u vent the phazon constantly.

Kill rundas as slowly as possible. Rundas is too cool for speed killing. For Rundas is better than everything else in metroid put together. I wouldn't mind if Rundas lived and samus died at all. Of course there are. The first time you run into them, they're trapped in a glass case powered by some soet-of energy. In just a short while, you have to let them out, then fight past them.

Here's a little advice: don't bother firing missiles at them. They'll usually turn intangible, and your missile with fly right through them. Just use as many Charge Shots as you can.

Actually missiles work on the metroids, first fire a charged shot at them, they'll get angry and fly at you to suck your health away, at this point you can freeze them, then it's just one more charged shot to finish them!
