  • Epic old school hip-hop interview.

  • Oh please, "oh that's that nigger" - just ASSUMED racism? absolutely ridiculous.

Yes ALL white people are automatically racist and rich, lmfao... how absurd.

  • @WelshDegenerate He does overgeneralize about blacks and whites, however, I challenge you to show me that this discredits his entire argument.

  • @StealThisIdentity Do you even listen to what he says?

He says he "injected the white kids, with the anger of the black kids" implying that only black kids are going through struggle / in poverty.

Then he implies white = automatic wealth, and he even makes the mother in the anecdote automatically racist. As if white = wealth and racism.

    It's such nonsense.

  • @WelshDegenerate White kids were in poverty yet Ice-T grew up in Newark which faced White Flight and a kind of poverty whites will never know, and his reality was white kids on the other side of the track were having money and having parents whose generation was often racist.

While it may not be true in every case, we can't say explanation here is complete nonsense, he's talking about the world he knew. You can imply what you want, he's just trying to explain his theory based on his world

  • @StealThisIdentity So by that same token, would it be okay if rich white people saw all / most blacks as criminals and low-lifes?

Ignorance isn't an excuse, he was a big star here, he knew the truths by now and any truly intelligent person knows poverty is colorless.

Not a big deal anyway, I agree with everything he's saying and Ice-T is a savvy guy. But he did generalize and what he said verged on racism.

  • @WelshDegenerate also, where did he say all white people were racist and rich? You're distorting his argument at least a little bit, aren't you?

  • Ice T and other black people in America all seem to have this perception all white people are rich or fine. Statistically, there's more poor white than there are black in America.

I'm from the UK, but I've grown up poor - alcoholics in the family, drugs, violence, clothes passed down... I mean, this utter nonsense all white people are fine lmfao.

Problems are problems. Just as stupid as thinking all black are poor.

  • the other 25% is bootlegging

  • 3:58 Ice t be touchin yo thang

  • He isnt wrinkled: o

  • Funny, hall sounds white at times in this interview. He's probably faking the funk cause of the issue. Fake Fuck .

  • @wilcarr1 ???, Eeeeh ok, opinions vary so no point in arguing over that but how anyone can watch this interview and not have major respect is beyond me, really, but I guess that says nothing about me or Ice but everything about you.

  • @wilcarr1<=== NOTE TO EVERYONE:This is an exsample of someone who duzn't know how to listen to the truth and handle it like a man.

  • @6:00 Whatever else you say about Ice-T, he understands statistics. A lot of people don't.

  • Very cool interview. Like he said, he plays a role like an actor. He's done it for many years and is still doing it. That's Ice T!

  • ice t is right to a point about supression

also if you get an inspiration from a song, you were mentally disturbed before you heard the song

also this is a great alibi - pointed out in a book of rock lists!!! blame it omn a song-i think the cop is lying-try an insanity defense. what would it be like if you read the bible, which has PLENTY OF MURDER, and kills someone and blames it on the bible. it can happen...

  • police truck dead kennedys

    kill the police gg allin

    MDC

  • Dude seriously fuk anyone who disses ice t for being on SVU.... he is an actor wtf he isnt a real cop.... Just because he plays one on tv doesnt mean he sold out he still keeps his views and values.... fuk haters

  • wow, how old is this info? great post (my bad if I missed it)

  • i cant believe that more white teenagers buy rap music than black teens

  • :O)

  • BRAINS ALL THE WAY

  • I personally find it funny that Ice-T's signature song is about killing cops, but he's been playing the role of one since 2000. My how the tables have turned.....

  • @joshuabrooks21 Than you missed the point.

  • @Jayskiallthewayski No, I didn't. He just got older.... Maybe he saw the error of his ways.

  • I like how no one claps after 5:32

  • Comment removed

  • Brilliantly said!

  • ma man

  • YET. He took the song off the album and took the cop killer writing off the artwork. Lost so much respect.

  • Thats the sickest interview I've ever watched.

  • Right on Ice-T!

  • ice t is the biggest actor in the gang culture lol you people need to wake up all gangsta are fake you think they live that lifestyle or betta yet the boondocks expose them wake up folks the disrespecting our society rappers are a threat to our community they are puppets on a string being guided by the illuminati lol

  • Ice T: A True G, and this is exactly what's going on today - history simply repeating itself.

  • Ice-T: A True G, and this is exactly what's going on today - history repeating itself.

  • NIGGER

  • @kfag101 huh? hhahahahahahhahahaahaahahhahahahhahahaahhhaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

  • Ice T knows wagwan.

  • Awesome interview, really smart

  • ice-t one of the best reppin that west

  • the "talk show" is arsenio hall

  • that was inspiring ice t is a great man and everything that he touches upon is great and even what he talks about then is still current to this day!

  • 3:42 = awkward...

  • "Smile Man" haha -- Arsenio Hall.

  • Always kept it real from day one. Everything he says is and is still accurate, especially bringing up how they used him as a diversion to take away from the real issues that were going on at the present moment. They STILL do that nonsense and people go for it every time with their eyes wide open, as we speak it takes place. As for someone claiming the debate about what group buys the majority of albums, it's far from a myth. This interview is 10/10. Sucks for obvious reason this show was ended.

  • ice-t was SOOO FINE back in da day...!!!

  • Man what the hell this guys is the shit

  • Ice T is a real nigga because he can explain his himself and stands on what he believes in. I dont believe all cops are bad but i know there are a lot of crooked cops out there. Keep doin ur thing ICE

  • Body Count. Was a great fucking band.

  • @TheEndKing IS a great fucking band.

  • This is a good interview. The Real Ice T is smarter than his tv character. That's ok.

  • phony sell ot fuckin nigga, uncle tom piece o shit, plays a pig on tv asshole nigga fony

  • @NSA666999 He plays a cop that catches diddlers and GOOFS, and those fucking people are animals. Whos' side are you on?

  • he's always been touchin peoples thangs lol.

  • "All I did was make em a theme song" AAAhahaha!

  • I love how he's wearing red and blue. Truce!

  • Who is the interviewer/ whose show is this?

  • @guardcapt08 Arsenio Hall

  • love ice t. wish there were more like him. positive rap star.

  • ice t always has to represent LA

  • to critics of angst-ridden music: it doesnt promote or glorify violence, it tells the story of life like it is.

  • WOO WOO WOO WOO! For those that don't know.

  • one of the reaest

  • Guess whites like rap becuase there are 9x of them to blacks in the US.

  • ice T is one and only, 4 REAL

  • I always respected Ice T. The brother is real and straight up. No bullshit or frontin. Mad respect brotha.

  • I always respected Ice T. The brother is real and straight up.

  • I thought he was taller for some reason

  • he's so awesome

  • one thing about ICE , he ALWAYS sticks fat, i mean, he doesnt hide from what he has said before, and suckers want to call him a sellout.. please..

  • @daguangrong yeah, well i reckon soulaless gal should watch the gun barrell in his mouth, and focus on tha trigger... peace

  • good upload!

  • Ice T....he invented it.

    True Pioneer!

  • Arsenio was the real..

  • I like how he wore Red N Blue

  • @countrybwoy420 and a purple hat.

  • @camerasmart Ummm you need to adjust the color on your monitor..he is wearing a L.A.Dodgers hat.. the color is Blue.

  • @countrybwoy420 he rolled n was cool wit crips n bloods he was never a G but still respects most gangs

  • @countrybwoy420 whore

  • cop killer should never have been banned and should still be on the bodycount album

  • The "75% of rap is bought by whites" statistic is an urban legend and wrong. There is NO WAY to measure what race buys any item.

That being said, it's otherwise a great interview.

  • @Y0utubeHipHop chill, dude. it's an estimate, & most likely a very accurate one. it only becomes a relevant point, however, when considering the bizness practices of the industry.

  • @jdbankshot Still, it's an estimate based on nothing. When word-of-mouth without an actual study becomes accepted, it further discredits Hip-Hop journalism. Just a pet peeve of mine.

  • @Y0utubeHipHop

thats actually the truth, there are statistics for everything.

  • @KareemAndDerekDub No it's not. I challenge you to find it.

  • @Y0utubeHipHop This was made along time ago bro, but I kno where u comin from

  • what year was the interveiw in

  • dis is one of da best interviews ive ever heard.ice t aint scared of dem bad police and da government.big up all da ppl who spoke against da government and got killed.fuck illuminati

  • ice t is a prove of something i think, rap and metal are twin music styles. bouth are (originally) about exposing the truth and shoving it down the hypocrit´s troath! i know that there is a lot of commercial crap in bouth styles, i am talking about the real, underground stuff. (sorry about my spelling, english isnt my first language)

  • Ice T is a smart cookie.

  • @ChrisMcPhail or a dumb cracker

  • @lahism7 why do people on you tube jump all over other races for saying "nigger" but when people like you say "cracker" or "white boy" dont nobody saying nothing....man all racism is wrong....

  • @Shiv83 Is "white boy" racist ..c'mon you are talking rubish now ... There is not word equivilent to "Nigger" for white people...I'm white and I never heard a word similar to that...

  • @ruiji2 it is to me....thats my opinion ....you don't have to agree... this is america...i think people should stop saying "cracker" and "white boy" ....if you say "black boy" somebody will wanna fight....all racism is wrong and black people should stop being let off the hook when they say "cracker" ....it's racist and all racism should be treated the same

  • @emzzdad...BUT, he made it and not a statistic, so he's doing well. What he WOULD'VE done means absolutely nothing. maybe there's someone out there that came close to taking your life, but their new life kept them from doing so....you'll never know who's who.

  • Ice-T a switched on Nigga! And No, I don't mean that as a racist remark! Sure I a White Honky, but this fella put out there how things are like in the ghettos! I respect him and his music!

  • The first Body Count is a Metal Classic...this coming from a big Megadeth fan

  • Ice-T stated of the song, "I'm singing in the first person as a character who is fed up with police brutality. I ain't never killed no cop. I felt like it a lot of times. But I never did it. If you believe that I'm a cop killer, you believe David Bowie is an astronaut," in reference to Bowie's song "Space Oddity".

  • I'm white and I like rap music.

  • I remember seeing this back in the day and just thinking man, T's like the man for saying like it is, I lived in his environment. ANd youknow I was all into Prince then but hey, I respect straight up talk. Most of what T says here still holds today, white kids can afford the iTunes music store and the iPhone and the iPads, torrents are for the rest of us, the tapers off the radio, the worn record buddy borrowers!

  • FUK THE POLICE.....ICE T IS REAL TALKING THE WHITE MAN AND WHITE WOMANS IS PISS OFF DUE 2 BLACK PPL RAPING AND THERE KIDS BE LISTENING 2 BLACK RAP ..FUK YEA NOW LOOK@THE WORLD NOW WE CAME 2GETHER 4 BLACK WHITE RAP...

  • Body Count rules!!! :)

  • Damn... Ice-T is just straight up and a lot of people cant handle it! Real talk s0n!

  • BC! BC! BC!

  • Tell 'em T! Back in those days rappers were actually INTELLIGENT and took PRIDE in that. Chuck,Ra,Ice,KRS,Cube, etc. I miss those days. And what he said about Arnold is true. And what's more powerful,SEEING people getting killed or HEARING it. And what he said about white kids (which is positive) NOT wanting to be racist. I remember this episode and probably have it on tape somewhere.

  • im white, ice t rocks, stuff like that is real rap, he's real. not like the crap nowadays

  • Dope interview. Too bad you don't see real shit like this on tv anymore. Ice T is cool man, but he got sonned by soulja boy, "forefather of my nuts" haha.

  • @nitewolf89 nigga shut the fuck up cracker

  • @DJDinnerRoll the truth hurts dnt it

  • Alot of them know their wrong

  • His last statement, he hit the nail on it.

If a guy's life long ambition was to kill cops, all he did was give him a theme song. HAHA!

  • fuck ice t

    fucken wanna be black

    ur a white boy

  • @juanBrownPrideC

    Fuck off!

  • Ice-T is a bad motherfucker. Straight up. A true OG

  • ICE T is one of my heroes...

  • Loved Ice t growing up..I was one of those white boys buying up his stuff. hehe, funny seeing Hall again too

  • Ice T is da original fuckin G

  • true that homeboy ice t

  • Those were true words right there man. I mean damn!! new rap can't compare to that. Ice-t is so intelligent, I'm 16 now. And damn i wish i was born back in the 80's or late 70's so that i could really grow up with hip-hop and all that. but i'm in the gay century where nothing makes since anymore.and real hip-hop has disappeared, and mainstream just sucks.

  • Ice T is very articulate. I wish most rappers today could hold an intelligent conversation like the old cats like Ice T, KRS One, etc.

  • @denzelsnipes69: right on the money with that

  • @denzelsnipes69

don't get "very articulate" and normal speaking confused lol.

  • @denzelsnipes69 i agree

  • Mikeus2006

smart. dude. every word cuts like a knife.

Like myself, Ice - T is a critical thinker.

Google - Critical thinker or critically thinking

and teach others to think critically and become smarter.

  • i love ice t

  • smart dude. damn. every word cuts like a knife.

  • Ice T is a classic West Coast OG.

  • Its no coincidence that Ice came out for the interview with a blue hat, shirt and red sweatpants. He was trying to show love to bloods and crips in certain parts of L.A. who were trying to establish a truce amongst certain neighborhoods in the aftermath of the Riots.

  • I used to watch this show back when it was a sensation and I just have to say that, what a vagina Arsenio Hall was. The man was a real vagina. He wanted to have a hit show by interviewing controversial artists, but when it came to bringing them on he would always look like he's been holding his urine in his bladder for six hours as well as his bowels. Know what I mean? Like, why the fuck are you getting nervous about asking such mediocre questions to your guest. How mad can your T.V. reps get?

  • @BPhire Let me school you on why he might have had to tiptoe around stuff: HE WAS BLACK. Any black person can just look at him and understand why he seems to be damn near having a heart attack with every question. He's being monitored by those TV reps who don't want him saying the wrong stuff. Believe me, he has to be a bit more PC than the average white host. Not pulling the race card. That's the truth. put it in ya pipe and smoke it, ya dig. Ice T called him a "soldier", b/c he knew the deal.
