oh man that sounds awesome. angry! i am getting hedman hedders on my trans am gta, but here in the UAE, they don't allow cars to be too loud. i also am getting dynomax turbo mufflers. i am taking a chance with this set up. it should get me more bhp and more sound, but i wanted to ask if you know just how loud it might be??? thank you.
get rid of that y-pipe and slap an x pipe in that!!!! itll be louder and sound way better and you will feel a huge jump in acceleration. you wont be disappointed. i have hedman longtubes and an x pipe with no mufflers on my iroc and that thing sounds damn good.
dam that sounds good what kinda of exhaust are u running?also that doesnt look like a stock 92 rs ground effects kit what year and model is that from?looks way better
@74dodge92 hedman longtubes, custom y-pipe (2.5" diameter coming off each bank, flowmaster merge collector, single 3.5" exhaust out the back). gfx are stock 1992 gm issue.
@74dodge92 that ground effects package was standard and only on 91 & 92 years. i have a 91 z28 myself. i need to remove and reapply my side skirts as they're beginning to come off at some of the edges.
What I really need to know is what parts to do I need to make this bolt up to the block, mount in place, and be able to drive down the road. Again I will be using the stock 350 TPI and want to put in a t56 out of a 98 ls1 PLEASE RESPOND!!!!
@mattcat234 an ls1 t56 will not go behind a genI sbc (ie, tpi350) without major modifications. the input shaft must be changed. if you have the ls1 transmission, sell it, and purchase an lt1 (93-97) t56, which is nearly a direct bolt in. thirdgen. org will be your friend
dam! lol i gotta get a system here for my iroc, shes got a 350 bored to 383 and stroked out! but still has the stock exhaust, i was thinking maby a slp loudmouth, or corsa
sounds nice. both of those systems are good, but niether one is a "direct" bolt on. they're made for fourthgen cars and will need a few hangers moved around and it'll need to be modded where it hooks up at the cat. they're also expensive
yea, its a pain. i just had to re-do the exhaust on my mustang, i did the headers, x-pipe, then two slp bullitts that dumped at the rear end, took alot of fabrication. and even more money lol!
yeah thats true. but after rolling around on the ground cutting crap, and welding, and clamping, and taking off to change over and over, i think im going with the kits from now on haha. my mustangs exhaust coast 700 dollars. and a corsa kit is 600 something i think.
25th edition!!! and i have a 1991 camaro with a 383 stroker 700r trans and 4:11 gears my 91 has the same ground effects. i love em!

@91cannibal Y-pipe and x-pipe are functionally the same. BTW this is my car, and before I had this exhaust, it had a dual setup with an x-pipe.

what exhaust do you have on that
dougie1717 2 years ago
it's a single 3.5" exhaust with a dynatech muffler, it's got hedman longtubes and i built the system.

This is my car, and it's definitely loud, but it's very tolerable for a muscle car with a muscle car exhaust system. Sounds sick as hell in person.
