  • I revisited this game a couple years ago in college and got to bramble blast and said wow, how I had forgotten about this beautiful piece. I didn't mind dying so much when getting to hear this masterpiece.

  • "I'm already there. I'm already theeere!"...

  • Glad this ones still up for now at least, seeing as how "SM Entertainment" appears to have blocked Aquatic Ambience...

  • Ah, these were the days

  • gosh Use to play this all the time..great music

  • I prefer the SSBB version. That's my opinion.

  • @GanonAkumaFan i prefer the fresh prince of bel air remix version, lol..jk

  • I miss those days with snes. I miss my childhood. Times were different back then too, back in the 90s. MUCH peaceful and we always had fun. Now the world is fucked up IMHO. There is war in real world, and then you get WAR in games like COD. Sure I play COD, but i swear to god, I do not have as much fun as i did back then playing snes with my family and friends. Back then when my family was together, now grown up all in our own places... but back then SNES put my family together every night.. :((

  • @macrochipsGT5

I think you're right, the times I miss Total

  • @macrochipsGT5 I agree gro, what a times :'-(

  • Eu sou um pedaço de algodão :B

  • @Taalyyh Usted es un pedazo de algodón? ¿Por qué?

  • This song made me feel angry that Rare had left Nintendo to join Microsoft to make some of the most mediocre games of all time. Rare and Nintendo made so many amazing games that changed video games for the next 10 years. They were a legend... and this game was part of it. FUCK YOU MICROSOFT!

  • @SNESFanboy64

actually, nintendo sold rareware to microsoft. One day we will get it back. But microsoft is the power of them all, screw microsoft and bill gates for it.

  • Outta all three DK countries, or any DK game, this is my favorite song, it always makes me kinda sad, in a good way, it always has,

  • i love this level. I always felt so good playing it. Plants and thorn bushes so tall they reach the sky? Come on, that's just so awesome. : D It's that feeling as a kid that I miss and cherish so much. I think it's games like these that have inspired me to want to travel across the world into jungles n' stuff. :)

  • Haha, i remeber wen me an my lil brother *mind you we were like 4 and 6* we wuld always make lyrics for this lvl an the swamp one :'( im still amazed my game hasnt died yet.

  • very nice, great

  • LOVE THIS! So serene- kinda like sakura flowers drifting in the spring breeze.

  • 4 People dont have souls, or have musical talent.

  • @doomlord123456 Talent =/= Taste.

  • @GeneralCane ...what?

  • @doomlord123456 It sounds like you're trying to say that those who dislike this have no musical taste.

Someone can still dislike this song but still have plenty of musical talent.

  • @GeneralCane did I? *Loks up* DOH! I messed up on my own message. I thought I put up "Taste" and now I'm looking. *headdesk*

  • this was by far my most favorite track of the whole donkey kong series and have not heard it in years before coming across this list. thanks!! :D all these songs on your list make my soul smile. lol

  • This is RARE's Funeral theme. R.I.P RARE... =' (

  • I swear, the 90's of game playing where so special...

  • esta musica me relaja

  • its the trumpet that got me or is it a saxaphone

  • 90s had all the great moments... great music great movies great tv shows and ... snes :( with epic games

  • holy crap man, this brings back so many fond memories. this song is AMAZING, i don't care what anyone says.

  • this sounds so much like chrono trigger

  • Man I love this song, but I hate those last two levels in that stage! They were so hard when I was little.

  • @DosToltec i think its still hard :S

  • When games were fun. every things all 1st person shooter now... shit is blown if you ask me.

  • @thebiblethrower

    microsoft

  • i didnt like this level too much but i sure love the muisc :) u dont find to many games with gud music in them now a days

  • This one's close to my heart... :)

  • I honestly believe that the SNES had the best games for people to play and relax to. I still do after basically starting my gaming hobby/addiction with it. This game took me a little while to beat, but I did beat it.

  • Such serene, relaxing music for such an infuriating level...

  • @UltimateDorito WORD hahahah

  • i can hear in my head daisy's stupid sound she makes when she lands on the pokey parts hahaha.

  • @UltimateDorito that's to keep you from breaking the game with a hammer

  • Respond to this video... sounds like funeral music

  • @TheDarkmajora you watch you tube on the wii too? and a fan of MM?

  • @master6339 ME TOO !!! :)

  • This music was engraed into my memory by the race with that f***ing bird

  • hell yea , not bad for the #4 spot.

  • this should've been played at RARE's funeral!

    )':

  • @ThisIsAndrewTime hh greatest and most appropiate comment ever..

r.i.p all that was worth from rare :(

  • Amazing Melody :D

  • Anybody else get the impression that Nintendo composed some of these DK songs for making love?

  • i play this on my Keyboard the song is so amazing *_*

  • i cant play this on the paino

  • This song has a distant feeling to it. Similar to our childhoods, in a way.

  • ahh my early teen hood

  • Music like this deserves more than a 2D platformer.

  • @cbrhawk1

You made a mistake, more music like this would deserve a 2D platformer like Donkey Kong.

  • Ugh donkey kong music always made me depressed.

  • Wonferfull music

    Legend game

  • i could never pass this part

  • I could Listen to it all day long

  • This game was absolutely gorgeous.

  • I'm agree with you guys there's no games now that make me play for hours like i did back in my childhood.

  • @ikeranger I've tried to get interested in games, but I agree with you. Fortunately, 2D platformers and such are making a comeback with indie developers and even the new Mario & DK games, just have to hope those kinds of things catch on.

  • Oh, the nostalgia... Hearing this song (which I didnt even remember until I saw this) while watching the pictures brings so good memories, I played DKC2 like, 10 years ago and I can now still remember this song perfectly. SNES sure was the best console

  • Beatiful song from DKC 2 ...Loveeeee iittttt!!!!

  • This song brings back so much nostalgia.

  • SNES is the best console!!!

  • This game is just awesome. I ll never forget it

  • @falodor Yes, but nowadays you have to worry about the batteries within those cartridges (at least for games with saves). Not to mention that anyone who wasn't taking care of their games to begin with never really cared about them.

  • Best 3 consoles in my opinion:

    3-PlayStation

    2-Nintendo 64

    1-Super Nintendo

  • @rhapsodythebest

Best 2 consoles in my opinion:

    1. Snes

    2. Playstation

    and the epic console:

    NES

  • This game was so beautiful.

  • @TheMacroRevolution This music is beautiful. :)

  • Heh, I find it a bit ironic that you'd consider this song soothing, considering how it's only played during the most frustratingly difficult levels.

On a different note, playing DKC2 with a GameCube controller is murder on your hands. I had to use the side of my index finger to keep Y depressed, and it didn't exactly allow flexibility. Still kinda proud I pulled off the ledge-spin-midair jump used on these levels considering this.

  • @Whitecroc thats also the same on DKC3, so annoying.

Another point voor the SNES :D

  • ahh this brings back good times of playing the SNES on rainy days and just sitting back listing to the rain and this awesome awesome track long live the SNES the golden days of gaming!

  • HOW CAN 3 PEOPLE HATE THE STICKER BRUSH SYMPHONY THEME THOSE 3 HAVE NO SOUL

  • 0:41 *nerdgasms*

  • @Pyrofreak321 I eargasmed...

  • @mcdonaldman56 soulgasms...

  • They use this music in the ph_northural map in PropHunt for Team Fortress 2

  • I remember that i used to thought how such a difficult and let's admit it with terrible landscape could have such a beautiful tune. honestly only to hear it was worth every single life lost in these levels

  • Snes was fun because it wasn't all about graphics and eye candy like it is today. I'm so glad I grew up in the 90's when games were actually good.

  • I love the way video game music like this brings everyone together to reflect on the good times we had playing our SNES's back in the day...

    Those were great times :)

  • @Freechips1 so true! totally agree. the music is just classic.

  • This song remind me my childhood, when my snes was still alive, still remind me of good moments through playing boy really is a wonderful and beautiful theme makes me nostalgic and at the same time happy by remember each time that I lived as a child

The Best Song Of Video games ever, comes to your feelings

    SNES forever!

  • this music is great.

  • Damn level so tough... but with the must amazing video game song ever.

  • From the confines of limitations the true innovations of genius shine through. All hail David Wise!

  • Damm this is relaxing.

I could stay in this level forever with this kinda music

  • Honestly, I think this song is the best VGM ever. Maybe it's not everyone's top favorite, but so many of us classic gamers hold it high up there that it's got to be recognised. This...this really transcends video games.

  • I hated this level so much, but this music was THE REASON why I was able to complete it. I would have given up on this stage if it wasn't for this music.

  • Like the music, it has several good memories for me. There is just one thing wrong with this upload. The recording quality sucks. Several of the higher notes are horribly distorted.

  • God i thank you for creating this!

  • SNES beats any console these days. I'd rather play my SNES then any other console. With i was 6 again and i could play these games. This is when Video games were great. Golden Age of Video games. I miss the days ='(

  • @101nibs I agree, 1993-2002 was the golden age of gaming.

Nothing today compares to the SNES, N64 and PS1. Also, PC had games like System Shock, Dues Ex, Baldurs Gate, Fallout and Half Life during this time.

Notice how most everything today is either a sequel or horrible and generic? (Some exceptions of course)

  • @Alectr0n Agreed.

There will be another golden age, I believe....this isn't the fist time videogames have experienced a decline in artistic value :)

    We just need another Miyamoto/Kondo

  • @Alectr0n Yeah, but I love the PS2's Jak And Daxter & Ratchet & Clank :D

  • @Alectr0n You forgot about Unreal and Unreal Tournament. Great pc game list too, btw.

  • @Alectr0n what about dreamcast i played that shit to death

  • @Alectr0n Or a remake/port of a game from those ten golden years.

  • @101nibs these were great games but im pretty happy with the direction that video game have went.... except for rare leaving nintendo..

  • @Juandingodotcom yeah i was disappointed when rare left Nintendo. They've done nothing at microsoft so its kind of a shame. I guess rare has somewhat tarn tarnished there name by moving to microsoft. Also the resignation of David Wise ( Composer of the Donkey Kong Country Series) in October 09 is a clear indication that he didn't like the direction that Rare where taking.

  • @101nibs i almost felt betrayed when rare went to microsoft.... but i would forgive them if they made a new killer instinct game. dont care for what system! i just want it!! lol

  • @Juandingodotcom Yeah, Killer Instinct was a great game. I can still remember the black cartridge and the some what rare Cd Soundtrack. I can't lie to you though i used to get scared every time the title came up =(

  • @101nibs Amen to that brother

  • @101nibs Although these songs and many more give me the chills and even make me shed a nostalgic tear now and then (Super metroid - Maridia xD) I have to strongly disagree with this statement. Ok SNES brought good even GREAT games to our homes, but you cant just say that it beats any console out there >> Great games still come on the new gen consoles but not unlike the SNES not every game released is a masterpiece!

  • @pentanitrophenol Yeah, but thats my opinion, and i except yours. =)

  • @101nibs I agree that there are tons of good SNES games but talking about it like that has such a strong odour of 'nostalgia!' that I don't think I agree here. There are tons of great games coming out all the time but the ones we played first are the ones we really remember and love. Oh well.

  • @101nibs You don't have to be a kid to play kids games.

  • @StarFoxAutobot My SNES is no more =(

  • @101nibs Aww. :(

  • @StarFoxAutobot Thumbs up.... :D

  • @101nibs i still have my Good ol faithful SNES :D

  • @101nibs

yes i too remember the glorious golden age of video games. I pity the poor souls these days who were not fortunate enough like me to have lived in that age .

  • @101nibs

Ever heard of Donkey Kong Country Returns?

  • @Cheetah1251 Not as good as the old ones. Besides wasn't made by Rare.

  • @101nibs

Who cares if it wasn't made by Rare?

  • @Cheetah1251 My own opinion bro. I'm not a big fan of Retro Studios. It's cool if you like it, lots of people do. I just find the originals much better.

  • @Cheetah1251

    Aahh kids nowadays...

    So naive...

  • best games right here they just dont make things like they use to

  • Dixie is the best DK character and this is the best music (not song because its not like todays fake musics)

  • I loved this song but hated this level. I use to pause it and just listen to it. Like you said its calming and relaxing.

  • @XXTheOutsider LOOOOL, its kind of ironic, its all the contrary the level represents! xD

  • French people all laugh like frogs. Ha ha, ho ho, hee hee.

  • Hey, it's okay you guys.

Wasn't that much of a deal..no need to argue. Listen to the music =D

    But thanks =)

  • crushed. shh now frenchy.

  • @Rev019 Le Frenchy is le douche! Qui Qui?

  • @elysium735 ok i got to admit that was funny, I laughed, actually

  • @LaFlammeAzure I could almost hear you chortling your lungs up...

    ribbit, ribbit.

  • THE BEST MUSIC EVER ! this song brings me so much memories back i love it and im sad

  • I really love this fucking song! This song represents my beautiful childhood when i was 4 or 5 years old and played donkey kong 2 all day with my uncles and cousins..

That time was so good, so happy...

I miss that time so much.. :(

And whenever I hear this song i feel so nostalgic, so sad, but calm and relaxed :(

BEST SONG EVER COMPOSED OF ALL TIME!

    BEST GAME EVER MADE!

**This song and this game will always have a special place in my heart :( **

DONKEY KONG SERIE 4 EVER ♥

  • You are right it is the best video song of all times

  • i still play this game and i don't care what people say this game is the shit like its better then halo to me, good music and also a lot of fun XD

  • @jackback790 ANY Snes game is better than Halo.

  • @Ze33roX obvious troll is obvious

  • it's up there with my favourite video game songs of all time

  • Comment removed

  • This song is fantastic...

  • I think that this choice of mood in this composition was a deliberate one on part of the developers, since this song plays in some of the most stressful levels!!

  • Man I remember doing all the levels and enjoying the music. Nintendo had it going well with DKC2. I played this game after I beat it just for the fun of the music.

  • Essa sinfonia é linda.

    Desde criança sempre achei linda.

    This is a beautiful simphony

    Since kid i like that

  • I feel bad for people who can't appreciate beautiful 16-bit music like this, anymore... my friend always sighs and shakes his head when I listen to SNES and NES music... he is a lost cause. :(

  • @Erekai

With the more limited tools at their disposal, they had to work hard on their music. Now it's just insert random God of War 'epic' music shit.

  • That's how real gamers woo their women...

  • Mmmm... I used to wake up Saturday mornings and play the "Bramble Blast" level over and over again until my brother woke up... at least five times through. A fun level, with amazing music. It wasn't challenging, but it was clever and fun- a great level put in an odd place on the world map.

  • I agree it is one of the best donkey kong music.

  • so relaxing.... =D

  • wow snes has some really Great music...this is a real cool song snes had to be the best console in its time with music like all of these

  • u r wise of puting this in the top 5 it has the power too sways any1s thoughts into complete ease as with me this is the best video game song in existense

  • Reminds me of my first girlfriend...we used to drink wine and play this the whole night...

    Makes me sad.

  • lol wut? drink wine and dk2? damn i should do that with my girl...

  • hahahahahah

  • @DMonkey123 are you sure your girlfriend was actually a girl ?

  • @LaFlammeAzure are you kinda mocking DMonkey123? 'cause if you are, it's not nice. this music is often connected to memorable happy & sad times. so try to be respectful about the memories of others. this isn't just some sound. it represents a lot of people's childhoods.
