I always felt this song was not really about tourist but rather about us. Where are we going?

We spend so much time fulfilling our obligations within a society, that we rarely take the time to slow down and really think about what it is that WE want from this life with a true purpose behind it. We're all mice in a hamster wheel chasing cheese that we were never meant to truly catch. Maybe if we slowed down long enough we would realize the true situation we're in and get off that wheel.

Have to say that of all the bands that came through in the 90's radiohead caught my ear more than anyone else, the originality and diversity cant be compared to anyone else, the instrumentals on almost every track are second to none, and thats coming from someone who was deeply into proper hiphop at that time and still is, the only chart music i have bought from the late 90's and 00's is radiohead, it has soul

Jonny and Ed are superior, creative guitarists that give the group that radiohead "feel". Colin and Phil are a solid rhythm section that are still able to be creative and innovative. Most groups today are basically the lead singer with nameless, faceless backup musicians. Radiohead are a throwback to the Beatles, Zeppelin, Who, Yes, where every member was superb.
