It looked worse because the car kept going for so long and got so demolished before it stopped. But that's actually a good thing. That's better than when a car stops instantly than in Heikki's case because that means the kinetic energy is absorbed over a longer period of time. In the end it went well for Heikki and I wouldn't really say one of the crashes was worse than the other. Had the USA GP not been only one week after Canada Kubica would've raced there while Heikki got to rest two weeks.
