Ahh yes, I remember watching the dubbed series way back in the early 1990s and it's good to see it again. The original Japanese version superior: clearer animation, a little swearing (like the original Japanese version of Robotech) Roy was kinda of a jerk, but on the upside Minmei was LESS annoying, though Lisa's voice left a lot to be desired, but something was lost in translation with Red Photon: White Nuts?! HAHA!!
the anime was released first, but the whole thing was a co-production between sega and tatsunoko. so from the beginning a movie and anime were planned.
hey bud this is the best anime,i am talking from brazil, and i think that zillion continues to be teh best,i love naruto and caveleiros, but zillion rules.
Who wouldn't :P Even on emule, there are either 4, maybe 6 subbed eps. There is a whole series, but spanish :/ That's because outside Japan, whole series been released only in Brazil :/ Worse, the brazilian ver. is i think dubbed :/
i use to own this gmae # 1, the under ground labyrth one then my mom sold the console and a crap load of games in a garadge sale :( a looong time ago.
There were two Zillion games for Master System based off of the show. The show itself was actually to market a laser tag game that Sega made back in the day. The Zillion guns and "eyepatch" computers are pretty in this are what they looked like, but the light gun for the Master System looked the same as well.
There was a second Zillion game, but it was called just "Tri-Formation" (contract reasons, I suppose -- Sega gave up on sponsoring the anime at a point).
Yeah, I know there were two. The first was a flatforming dungeon exploring type game and the second was a shooter. The first was a cartridge and the second was a chip I believe as the first came in the large SMS box and the second came in a slim box.
I remember a local TV station airing anime licensed from the late Strameline Pictures in my area in the mid-1990s, and this show was one of them. Too bad Streamline only did 6 eps, and my local station only showed the first 3 eps as well as Burning Knight.
Thank you for uploading this. I hope you get the rest of the episodes up on YouTube in the near future as well.
This is my first time watching this anime, thank you for sharing :D The quality is superb!
3:12 JJ voiced by Seki Toshihiko (関 俊彦) <3
3:49 Champ voiced by Inoue Kazuhiko (井上 和彦) <3
4:07 Apple voiced by Mizutani Yuuko (水谷 優子)
These three sing a song called "Boku ni tsubasa wo" which I have trouble finding online...

Oh man! This brings me back...Late 80's-mid 90's anime is EONS better than the slop all these youngsters watch.
There is SOME great contemporary anime but not much.

@djfakt I agree 80's to early 90's anime is the sweet spot.

The little girl has just seem a man being dilacerated in front of her
AND SHE'S ALL HAPPY AND EUPHORIC?!?
And why J.J. took a child to a suicide mission?!?
He was going to face powerful and heavily armed monsters/robots with a half loaded regular pistol and a bicycle... and he let the kid go with him?!?

このジリオンという作品で何が感心したかと言うと、熱で対象を溶かすとか貫通するとかではなくて、対象を原子レベルまで分解してしまうという設定だった。
