I'm a MedicalTechnologist and the fats most people need are Polyunsaturated Omega 3's these have been shown to increase the HDL and thus squeeze the the LDL's out of circulation. As I have access to a medical lab and can run a lipid panel on myself anytime I want, I've compared the numbers and diet with saturated fats caused my LDL's(bad fats) to increase and my total cholesterol to increase. So stick with Walnut oil, Flaxseed Oil, Organic Hemp Oil, Fish oil and you'll keep your arteries clean.

Nature puts Saturated Fats In Any Natural Foods! Meat fish eggs dairy avocados nuts seeds cacao beans olives and.. 100gr of virgin olive oil got More Saturated Fat Then 100gr of any Plain Meat!!!! Hello??!! can u read lables?? Maybe its because Thats The Way Nature wants Us To Nurish our self!!
Everything that goes into our body goes through a metabolic process - including sat. fat. Each person's metabolism determines how quickly a food is converted into energy or processed by the cells for other reasons. So the amount of TIME it takes is different for everyone. Generally speaking though, fats take much longer to break down and utilize than, let's say, candy.
If you think you have a fast metabolism - then saturated is definitely your friend - and sugar your enemy.
thanks.....my metabolism is crazy......back in 2006 i was in the 11th grade and used to work for jack in the box after i got off school and i ate that crap for lunch and dinner everyday for like a year and i gained nothing. i was like 160 and now im 165. .... i guess its my genes. i say genes and someones body has 80% to do with getting all fat and nasty and the remaining 20% is diet and stress and environment and all other crap....hey my body is a proof of that.
@TnFitnessLink from my research i have found that it states that saturated fats go directly into the cell walls and are used for energy, where as things such as candy first have to be changed to fat by increase in insuline and stored then the body will have to pull the stored fat(body fat) to give you that energy, so from my research saturated fats take less time and better energy source then anything you can eat, also meat and fats are digested within an average of 6 hours. We have been sooo brain washed in the last 50/60 years about saturated fats that its unbelivable!!! and the Goverment with the national health service or food standard agrncy keeps doing that!!
