just a quick question: can you use this like fix+ on top of makeup to like freshen the face throughout the day? or is this recommended mainly for bare skin?

You can use it to freshen your face, but I wouldn't recommend it. This toner is a tiny bit drying, so I only use it after I wash my face. Lush's other toners would probably better than this one for fixing makeup.
