  • PLEASEEEEEEEEE DO A TUTORIAL ON FACIAL RIGGING PLS i begg u and i am going to subscribe to u cuz ur good.

  • @DisneyYH Hi! first, thanks for the compliment. My advice is that you get this book: "Stop Staring: Facial Modeling and Animation Done Righ", Jason Osipa´s amazing book on facial animation. It is easy and fun to read and he explains everything you need to know about facial animation, or at least it is a great start. So I greatly recomend you to buy it, you will not regret it.

  • Lol it has pretty much no facial expression. this looked poor when it came out

  • the lip sync is good .... it needs a bit more facial expression ...specially at the end when it's crying ... great work anyway ! keep it up!

  • Impressive, All of us can't believe Harry Potter 7 was in fact leaked out over the internet! Watch it now with watch harrypotter.us (no spaces)

  • the lips need more expression, but i see you have the eyebrows worked out pretty well :D

  • @EvolveYourFuture Thanks for the comment, this was just a quick test to try the facial rig ;)

  • RIP Dobby...

  • Seems to me it doesn't have an actual jaw... jaw movement shouldn't be morphed lip movement.

  • @AMYuntold Wow I didn't notice that until you pointed it out, but it seems to work anyway.

  • lol, dobby.

  • he looks like delan

  • dobbylove!!

  • ta mas duro que n macaco de porcelana

  • jeje! si,podria estar mejor.

  • dobby is an idiot xDxDxDxDxD

  • @jacobonix

    SPOILERS!!!!(for retards)

    dobby saves harry... and dies

  • @kyokazumi why u lie so much

  • @chidori1239 Ummm, he doesn't lie about dobby saving harry and dying. It's in the seventh book

  • @Vincentvalentine1993 o, its been a while scince ive read the books

  • @chidori1239 No problemo, but it would've been nice if you'd searched it up first before accusing people of lying. I'm not trying to nag, but just a little tip.

  • this mafucker such creep Monster man!

  • I have to agree it still need more work on this expression. Instead of trying to make 50 sec try to do 10-15 sec perfectly

  • how!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    omg!!!!

i wanna do this 2 can some 1 make a tutorial step for step plzz

    till the smallest detail

  • Dobby... will you marry me?

  • Who the fuck is not giving you 5 stars?

  • @theclipripper i wouldn't, the modeling is superb, but the animation is a bit flat, it's just the lips and eye's and neck moving, none of the cheek skin moves or anything to make it look more real. 4 stars, sure, but not really a 5 star animation.

  • "Offend dobby!?" AHAHAHAHHAHA

  • its a nice bit of modeling but its still has no real life in it i would sugest movie the cheek's more and also over exsagarating it more like eye brows for example.

  • I agree Hawkeyenix666, I'm an animator by trade and it does need some work on the exaggeration and more expression but it is a darned good start ! I'm actually impressed .. not often you find much of anything real good and expressive that would be professional quality but this is getting darned close. keep it up!

  • Hmm, I think Uncharted 2 might look better than this.

    Still pretty good.

The part at :34 and after when he is stunned and cries in the film is fantastic.

  • lol. this is hillarious! awesome!!

  • it lacks facial expression

  • I agree with the comment about the eyes. they look dead. Eyes should always be moving. Even when there not looking directly at something they move with the rhythms of the brain, flicking around to recollect thoughts or looking up for some imaginary answer to a question. You can say heaps with even the tinyest eye dart.. check out Steven Stahlberg's stuff on youtube and also my stuff for some more takes on facial animation.

  • hehe I like it when he looks to the side and makes the facial expression, but the eye movements are indeed to slow, and the whole face should be moving all the time, like more facial expressions...

  • Lip sync is good and eye movements, but I'd throw in some emotions...happy, sad, etc. And about the rigging process( kamihakai )...go to animationrigs(dot)com <--now that's rigging done right. refered by me of course.

  • well thankx for the answer, i'm from colombia and i don't really have money to buy those animation books by internet in amazon or another place, that's why i asked you to talk me about the process :$:$ whould you please help me a little bit:S??

    thankx

  • ok, just give some time. I will try to let you know about the process. I Promise You :).

  • I really liked it so much, can you tell me a little bit of the rigging process? are joints in the lips or joints parented to the head's skeleton or how is this?

help me dude, exellent work for me really!! nice 10/10

  • Thanks a lot for your comment and support. I used the method that jason osipa explain in his book "Stop Staring: Facial Modeling and Animation Done Right". It´s the best book if you are interested in facial animation. Anyway I didn't use joints for the lips, just for the eyes and ears.

  • Eyes should move a lot quicker...eyes are always locking on some object so they never move slowly.

  • Thanks for the comment and the advise. I think you are right. Anyway It was my fisrt facial animation attempt and more a test than a finished animation.

  • mt dad is crazy about dobby!

  • we like dobby - dobby does it again

  • This is esquisette!

  • Wow, VERY close to the real Dobby, nice work, but barely showed dynamic emotion or aniamtion.

  • The mouth movements are not dynamic enough, it would make a big difference. Great work though! Must have taken a while...

  • Thanks for the advice. Yes it took me a lot of time and hard work but it was rewarding.

Thanks for taking the time to comment.

    Regards

  • Try connecting the eyes with the dialogue. For example, by widening the eyes when Dobby says, "Harry Potter". That'll help no end! Also, don't be afraid to push the mouth shapes - you've got much more range to play with stuff than you think.

    Good stuff!

  • Thanks Kevan for taking the time to comment. I really appreciate your advice. You are right, I was afraid of push the mouth because I didn´t want that it look

    overacting.

Thanks for your kind words and support.

    Regards.

  • i really like watching the work on the eyebrows (or eyearches) some movements are so minute yet make big statements, a reference ! :)

  • Thanks man, I´m glad you like it. Regards.

  • wow, very nice. i've never used maya tho. is it anything like 3d studio max?

  • Thanks dude,

I have used 3d max and no, It´s not like maya. Both of them can do the same things but I think maya is better. Therefore It´s only a personal opinion. Regards

  • NICE VISIMS DUDE...

  • Thanks man, It took me a lot of time and hard work. Regards.

  • nice...what plug-in did you use w/ maya?

  • No plugins, I used the method that jason osipa explain in his book "Stop Staring: Facial Modeling and Animation Done Right". It´s the best book if you are interested in facial animation. Take a look to his web http://www.jasonosipa.com/JasonOsipa_Main.htm

  • ?????????????????!!!!!!!!!!!!!????????????????? hella nice work!!!!! wait it's more than nice. its uber.

  • Thanks man!
