@korgrandi You know I'm not crazy about active pickups either...in fact that was almost a deal killer...but I went with it and they really don't sound that different. Actually they don't have as much bite as the 498T/490R combo on the Les Paul but the sound has a lot more clarity. Especially when played clean. Now you can hear ALL my mistakes!!

@hayesch1 Hey thanks a million dude!!! I really appreciate it! Yeah this guitar is a winner for sure! Here is how I record my stuff: Basically I use a Fostex MR-16. First I load the original MP3 to the Fostex. Then I mic my Marshall amp and cabinet using two microphones while I play along to the track. Then I can mix it down to get the sound right and then export the mixed down file to my pc. Then I take that audio track and sync it to the video I shoot. Voila! \m/
