benniboy93 - sepheroth1 is right, God exists in all time at once, like you as a human seeing the entire picture of a jigsaw puzzle at once although its made of tiny pieces - the thing is, human pain and suffering on earth are small and temporary - what we are experiencing is our chance to make decisions and choose to follow God's plan and Will or not - unfortunately, many choose not.

God isn't just the God of Christians. He puts us where he wants us to be in his plan, and gives us the tools to carry out the part of his plan that our each and every separate life is to carry out. God is the God of all creation, and he's going to put us where we need to be for his plan to be carried out.

only christians believe that jesus is "the way the truth and the life", so categorically only christians can get to heaven.

God puts us where we need to be with the tools we need to carry out His plan. To depart from the average Christian, I believe that so long as we are carrying out that part of God's plan that is meant for us, our souls shall see salvation. That is Faith, the desire to do God's Will and not only knowing that it is what is best for us personally, but also being thankful that, though we may not see it, we have greater purpose in Divine Creation.

well yer that sounds more rational to me, but as you say you have to "depart from the average christian's view" to believe this. i've also heard that when jesus said "no one comes to the father but through me", he meant that you should try to live your life like jesus.

However, at a baptist church i went to they rly were stressing that you have to actually believe 100% in christ to get to heaven. which is why i find it hard to trust christianity, there is so much contradiction.

Thats why there's so many denominations. I consider myself to me a ....Shamanistic Christian. Just means I believe theres more to the world than just what the Bible states. I suggest finding your own truths in the Bible, and then studying separate religions to pick out what you find to be truths and what you find to be a bit fuzzy. It all just depends on the amount of thought and clarity are put into the subject.

The average Christian believes what they are told and never studies for themselves. They mistakenly call that Faith. The truth is, there is a logical and reasonable explanation for every declaration of the bible. Sometimes you can find it in context, other times you have to study to understand the setting of the times, or understand other religious backgrounds for context. I suggest you pick one point and study to find the meaning. Asking other people is unreliable. Pray and study.

I know this conversation was 3 weeks ago but just remember, the devil is the prince of lies, and through these lies the devil tries to do anything in his power to keep us from god's glory, in other words don't let some supposed Christian branch tell you EXACTLY what is right, these branches are just guidelines in my opinioin, however to know god for yourself you have to read and study the bible on your own. how can you carry out god's word, if you don't even know what god's word is?

I just have to put in my 2 cents here: I kind of agree with you, however, while studying the bible you should also be going to some kind of church because what happens when you can't interperet the bible and what its trying to say to you? Some things in the Bible don't apply to our world anymore, and some things apply more. This is very important to recognize and so I would suggest going to some kind of church with an open mind, heart, and soul to what the minister says, just to help out...

He applies everything in that bible to our lives today, he spoke those words so that the children of the listeners and their children and so on would all know him and follow him, todays society has changed yes, but God has not, and you will always find something that applies to you in the bible. always

He knew every other shit thing that has ever happened (e.g natural disasters) was going to happen and did nothing to stop it. And he knew his "free will" idea was a dumb idea because it would lead people to disregard his rules and lead unholy lives, harming themselves/others/the environment etc etc etc.

God only knows what is going to happen all the time because 1:He is a supreme deity that you don't question. 2: God exists outside of time; therefore, he exists in all time and in no time at all. 3: Saying that he didn't know would be putting a limitation on God that doesn't exist; however, saying that God Didn't know right this second in the piece of time would be accurate because if he exists within this one second alone just like humans etc... then he would be under the same limitations as
