"A 17-year-old is due in court today charged with the assault of a Malaysian student during the London riots.

The youth is accused of assaulting Ashraf Rossli on Monday August 8 during the disorder in the capital.

He is due to appear at Thames Magistrates Court today, charged with one count of GBH against the student, one count of robbery, two counts of burglary and two counts of violent disorder.

Addressing a press conference with his family at a west London hotel, the 20-year-old spoke warmly of the UK, saying there were "a lot of good people everywhere you go".

A man has already appeared in court accused of robbing Mr Rossli.

@Eugenics2020 abortions are free in the uk that is where this happened. and also here in the uk if you have no money and have kids you get given a house and lots of benefits and the more kids you have the more you get given, ive seen one scumbag lazy family on benefits in a 4 bed house and somehow seemed to have money for a hd 52 inch tv with sky i realised they got the satelite to get all the foreign channels to watch while they sit in all day doing nothing!
