some people with ms don' have the option of whether or not to "go public" or not. I don't like this video at all considering it barely made anyone aware of the effects of ms. Maybe they should've interviewed people with all sorts of types of ms... primary progressive... relapsing remitting... they should have talked to someone who has lost complete movement in their legs and no longer has the luxury of being able to walk. Someone who has to live with everyone knowing that "somethin isn't right".
There is now a Reformed Multiple Sclerosis Society that is urging for the medical community to check out Dr Paolo Zamboni's discovery that MS is caused by poor blood drainage from the brain. The answer to restore blood drainage from the brain is angioplasty. Watch the before & afters for this surgery called CCSVI on youtube- simply amazing. In just 24 hours a world of difference. Standing on one foot eyes closed in just 24 hours!
I found this "awareness promoting" story to be so unrealistic and best case scenario thus failing to serve as anything but adding to the unawareness and ignorance of the disease. Just saying, doubt its getting an [infrequent] MRI that causes her to "remember that something just isn't right with the body she lives in". I am sorry for her diagnosis and wish the best for her, and I am also sorry for the viewers who think they now know what MS is, yet still have no real clue.
Thank you for this segment...I was diagnosed in 1994 this past year Ive noticed it worsening...I am documenting my journey wanting to show the good and of course the bad in dealing with ms.
How many people know that chronic Mercury poisoning cause many disease including Multiple Sclerosis? Do you know Dental Amalgam have 50% Mercury and non-stop leaking Mercury vapor? Do you know Sweden have banned the use of Dental Amalgam in their country already?
Also, how many people know that too many vaccine contain Thimerosal (A Mercury compound) as a preservative?
Avoid any Mercury intake, eliminate Mercury from your body and get well.

If you’re diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis, cheer up because the cure for MS is already discovered, and it’s called “CCSVI,” or “The Liberation Treatment!” This cure was discovered by “Dr. Zamboni!” You can search this here on You Tube. Just search: “CCSVI,” and/or “The Liberation Treatment,” and/or “Doctor Zamboni!” You can also log on Facebook and check”CCSVI in Multiple Sclerosis!” Feel better!
High Saturated Fat diet -> young age (active thymus) -> exposure to herpesviridea or other neurovirus -> high permeability of BBB caused by poor, brittle structure from high saturated fat diet, low levels of vitamin D -> T cells in CNS -> sensitization of T Cells -> later onset of MS -> recovery -> anything that can cause a proper situation for episodes (stress, Epstein Barr, etc.) -> disability
MS is now being linked to a new retrovirus called XMRV which attacks t cells and makes you have a compromised immune system and infects your brain which makes your body send cytokines to your brain to fight the virus which results in brain demyelination and lesions, depending on what part of your brain the lesions are you will get different symptoms..
Thank you Janice. I have had MS for at least 40 yrs but was not diagnosed until 1992. I was 19 or 20 when I experienced my first symptoms, but was not diagnosed until I was 42 yrs old! During that time I gave birth to 4 healthy children. I am glad I did not know that I had MS because I might have been afraid to have children if I had known.
@darlajuneyow i have ms too and i know its hard but your hope for me. i just don't want my 2 children to have it. since you have 4 children do you ever worry about if they are going to get it and if they have children there children will get ms too . love april
@AWDESIGNS8 I am concerned about my children but they range in age from 18 to 38 and so far none of them has any symptoms. However, my niece was diagnosed just a few years ago. I try not to worry because worry cannot change anything and it is detrimental to my faith and to my health. When I have those kinds of thoughts, I say a prayer for my children. I hope that your children will have healthy lives and be glad that their mother loves them and gave them a chance at life.
@darlajuneyow my kids are 13 and 30 i know my husband had cancer my 13 year old son was our miracle i know i dont worry either and i'm sorry to say that. i know we had are children and we put it in gods hands i know ms feeds off of stress , like i said before your my hope in this journey you did it and i will too. god loves us no matter what comes are way i know he got my back . have a ggod night love ya april
I am 51, female. I have had MS for 29 years. God Bless you Janice for embracing this disease with a "I am going to beat this" attitude. Before there was a whole lot of information about his disease this was the only way I could overcome my illness and go back to work after having my first child. I just said to myself, I will overcome this and guess what? I did just that. I may be a little slower now, and little older but I am now a great deal wiser than I was 29 years ago.
@pokemom3 you give me hope to 29 years god is with you girl . i'm 48 and got ms this aug i'm hoping talking what i take will stop it and just live with the things i cant to now or you know what i'm getting stronger and better every day, i too just do every thing a little slower but at least i do it . i thank god i can walk and see and talk . when the day comes i cant i'll deal with that . i feel in my life time there is going to be a cure. i have god family and friends that all i need love april
Janice, I also Have MS, DX 3 years ago and it has been a rocky road at times but I have also found blessings along the way. Thank You for your video,,
Ounce of prevention worth pound of cure. What's cause of MS? Aspartame. Mercury amalgams. I believe biggest cause is vaccinations. In fact Montel had adverse reaction 2 a vaccination- (went temp blind in one eye & spastic in one leg) 30 years ago & was 20 years before diagnosed MS. Dr. Ted Spence in book Vaccination Deception has Dr Mendelsohn & others saying 11 times that vaccination cause MS. Myself- I had adverse reaction 2 allergy shot years ago & now have MS. Thanks Dr & nurses. Hippocratic
I know ms all too well but I've gone into a ten years long remission. All is well, actually very well and frankly many days I don't think about ms what so ever. I certainly remember what it feels like to have ms shred your life. I also know what blessed remission, a deep, long lasting, restorative, refreshing remission is all about too. I take every single step steeped in appreciation. Frankly I believe it all comes down to plain luck A positive disposition and exercise all help too.
I'm not a doctor but also have MS. MS is hard to diagnose because it is very similar to a lot of other diseases.. Lyme disease comes to mind immediately but there are others.
because there are a lot of Disease that mimic MS and only way to be sure is with MRI, and MRI is discovered only 40 years ago so with it came the discovery of MS
@mcoolle actually 5 % of MS patients have normal MRI's, there are other diseases that cause lesions. In order to get an accurate MS diagnosis, you also need a spinal tap and VER's. Many patients go un-diagnosed because neurologist who don' specialize in MS think that all they need is to do an MRI.
yea u are right i forgot about spinal tap, thats because the doctor that did spinal tap on me did not miss, if he missed am sure i would remember better :D
:D Yea but even if it all goes well u get stuck with headache for 4 days if u stand up but i saw people that got missed a few time, shaking from pain :S, and then they stop and try again next day, it looks like the younger u are the better it goes. :S
Why is telling the truth anything courageous?? MS doesn't shorten life expectancy.. Myasthenia gravis does however.. She's lucky she caught it early with only those symptoms.. Weed is for the pain and has less risk than prescriptions.. Any1 with ms should be on a shot and not just a diet because nerve damage will still be done if not.. Reasearch RRMS; comes and goes.
@DrinkGuinness MS itself does not shorten life expectancy but the symptoms of MS can cause damage to vital organs and can lead to death, the same as HIV/AIDS. If you consider, a patient being bed bound for years... they will probably eventually suffer from weaken heart, and damage to the kidneys is common and can also lead to death. I have PPMS and bed bound and am already suffering heart weakness after being bed bound for 2 years, it is scary!
marijuana is not the answer research? I have done a vast amount because it is personal to me, and I am on no Meds at the moment just lots exercise a good diet no alcohol low fat no red meat, I couldn't walk two months ago but I can now.
Snake oil? Tell that to all the people with MS who have been given a better life thanks to marijuana. You should check into the research. Mind if I ask how many prescription medications you're on?

Why doctor afraid to think whether this disease is cause by chronic Mercury poisoning?? may be they even don't know what is Mercury.
Mercury is a neural-toxic heavy metal ! and it is the second most toxic thing in the world.
( The most toxic thing in the world is "Uranium" - a heavy toxic silvery-white radioactive metallic element.)
