  • haha. I love John in the glitter storm!!! All the glitter getting stuck in his lushious curls... And Justin not getting any glitter! LOL. I am so excited I found this, I didn't know any footage of the Blue Jays exisited! I am very happy to see this.

  • I guess I am in a Moody Blues state of mind.

  • I can't resist this...those lovely men....their connection is palpable. I get quite emotional watching it.

  • Such a beautiful video...I love the Blue Jays!

    thanks for posting!!!

  • This is why I love MB. They can write deeply personal, almost religious songs and songs with a good taste in timbre (listen to that guitar tone towards the end!).

  • OMG, Justin was HOT in this video!

  • oh my god...it is 2010,I've only got to see the Moody's 26 times,I'm 36,this came out when I was what,1?? They only have one date set in California this year in Cardiff (September,by the way...) And yea, the glitter storm is cool...I missed the Blue Jays(my favorite album EVER!) But word has it I was conceived to "Nights".Thanks mom n dad!!

  • They didn't do a UK tour in '09. Though i do have tickets to see them in September at two venues. I really can't wait as we don't get to see them a great deal here.

  • Brilliant...they sound amazing...live! Plus John's beaming smile with those dimples. I could watch this all day. Alas, real life keeps getting in the way.....

  • Blue Guitar, I love this so much and If was going to come back in life I would choose to be Justin, he's so much my Hero

  • Wow! I love this song so much:-)

  • hall of fame or hall of shame

  • you CAN be a man and not act like John Wayne ! if only more men knew that.

    women too for that matter.

    beautiful music and people

  • Reminds me of "isolation years" and "burden" by the band Opeth. This song and music is beautiful and epic....

  • @SephynnXx: Opeth maybe listened a lot to Moody Blues / Blue Jays music? :))))

  • oh Opeth loves the Moody Blues, but if you heard their death metal side you would never think The Moody Blues,lol...

  • @SephynnXx

    They rule in any genre.

  • John is laughing his ass off at that falling confetti!

  • @planetjanet2

    I think you're right...it's the blizzard that has him cracking up!..And where's Justin's blizzard?

  • John's smile, with dimples, says it all.

  • wo wo wonderfull!!!

  • Absolutely brilliant, 2 gorgeous guys singing a gorgeous song

  • Could those pants be any tighter? Yowza!

  • Are thesse dudes in the rock and roll hall of fame, no.

  • bloody well should be. Justin, John and the rest of the Moodies are legend

  • @Zippertheslipper the rock and roll hall of fame is a sad joke.... it does not represent many good artists.

  • i was givn the "as my guitar gently weeps" cd for christmas, altt of songs i didntcare for but thi song was on it and ive fallen in lovewith it its so relaxing and nice, whe im listening to my ipod on the bus home aftera long tirign da at college and this comes on i getso relaxed and i can just letmyself go and fall asleep, amazing song

  • excellent song, much underrated.

  • 'travellers in a storm finding love is warm'

the whole song is just so beautiful

  • Those were the days when we all had great hair.

  • We also thought we knew it all and it was all in front of us :-(

  • @reneecalling Actually, that was when I HAD hair!!

  • @edro3111 lol!

  • @reneecalling two gorgeous men--short or long hair, gods until the day I die. They gave me songs to get through my miserable life by...Today, their still adorable.

  • @chocolatcats I so know what you mean. I love Justin's songs. They seem to get me through some of the negativity that out here in the world. And John, he's no slouch I love a lot of his song too. Yes, they are both still adorable. I was lucky enough to see the Moodies in February, 2007. The show was sooooo good! I sure would love to see them again.

  • We all have to admit that the 'view from the rear' is most amazing!! woo-hoo! Love those white pants!!

  • I had never seen this video until now. Must say it is awesome. Justin and John sing so well together. Love Justin's long hair here and love watching him play his red guitar. Thanks so much.

  • Oh wow, what a beautiful song!!!!! Justin, you look so much more at ease in the 70's than you did in the late 60's, and at The Isle of Wight concert. I could play this song over and over again for hours. Such talent will not be seen again.

  • @MinnesotaNice64 of course he's more relaxed; he's richer and knows THEY ARE LOVED AND APPRECIATED. Life without them? impossible. Look at them there. Gorgeous, superb, sexy and my god look at those pants etc........oh my

    the best of the best

  • one of my favs!

  • yeah good song x

  • When the MB's get it right (songwriting that is) there's no one better..and this is an example of them at their finest! Love this song.

  • There is something about the Moody Blues and the Blue Jays were able to really capture the entire Moody Blues feel. I know some will say because of Justin Hayward and John Lodge but there were (are) other great members in the Moodies. This music really brings back great memories.

  • Who were the Blue Jays?

  • The Blue Jays consisted of Justin Hayward, John Lodge of the Moody Blues and various other musicians. They toured around the years 1974-75. As far as I know they only had one album but it was great.

  • Thank you for your reply I like this song it bring back memories.

  • best.song.ever.

  • Love the vocal harmony! I always wondered if Justin layered the backing vocal there, or could John really sing that high? Very reminiscent mood-wise of what they did on the 'Threshold' album.

  • what is what the shit blowing around johns head

  • Blue Guitar was originally done as a demo by Justin around the time EGBDF and 7th Sojourn, but discarded as being unsuitable for the Moodies as a group.

  • a bit different from the other blue guitar version on the net, the one with gary glitter at the start.IMHO even Haywards guitar solo at the end is a bit different which shows most is recorded but some of its live.

  • 1 never gets tired of the moody blues they are as good now than ever was before

  • Holey Moley! Anybody know what his inseam is? He's got the longest legs I have ever seen. Yowza! John Lodge gets better looking with age. Incredible.

  • And to think they were sometimes accused of being a tad too pretentious...

  • Boy, those guys are sure in good form. I mean, they sure have good forms! *LOL*

    Love, Jusfriend

  • I can't get over seeing those tight pants on Justin! Man, he looks so hot in those. I noticed tha camera even shot Justin from behind. Boy, he had a cute looking little butt on him. Now that he's older, I wonder how his butt looks now! (She said, blushing like mad.)

Oh, by the way, the song is good, too! LOL

    Love, Jusfriend

  • *lol* XD

  • OMG these guys are soooo gorgeous, look at Justin's hair! Lovely.

  • Thank you for sharing this vid, a super classic and brings back pleasant memories of late 1975. Sad I never hear this song played on the radio so this vid is a Godsend to me. Many thanks again, truly appreciated. Stuart.

  • My dad taped this for me from the radio when I was a kid, I listened to it all the time!

  • Wot a classic..

  • I can't recall the exact date but this was from the Supesonic Christmas Special in 1975.

  • The Moody Blues are deserving of being inducted in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame folks, let us Moody fans try to get them in.

  • Forgot all about this song from 1975, until I was putting my feet up on a side chair in the Worlington Hotel back in 1994. It was playing on their stereo, and it hit me all of a sudden. What a shame, that I missed all of those years in between.

  • wow great performance

  • blue guitar reached the top ten in november 1975

  • just another one great, never wrote a bad song

been a fan since there early days seing them at salford univeristy, having released there new album question of balance

  • I'd been looking for this song for ages,i'd forgotten the title of it,until i heard it on the radio just now.I had to look it up.What a great song!

  • god I love his hair, i always wanted that style. Some one make me feel old and tell me what year thus was. Late 70s is best i can manage although I have it on vivyl up in the attic.

  • lovin haywards hair definately! great song tooo!

  • Thank you for this video! I have loved this song for a VERY long time.

  • this song , the tune just gives me a high... i love it...

  • A beautiful song. This is a song that one can get lost in.

  • Blue Jays My Dream.. Blue Jays Stay Forever... Universal Love...Magical Music...Legendary Performance...I Am Beguiled...Everyday Phenomenon...For Legends...Blue Jays My Dream... Blue Jays Stay Forever....

  • OMG! Glad the other half is at work! lol I'm not sure what's more beautiful. The singers or the song!!

  • Good to see someone else is stuck in the 70's with this band, too, and my car is full of Moodies tapes and I am playing them constantly and FULL BLAST as they should be played. I listen to no one else and I will always be in love with Justin Credible! YUMMMM!

  • Great song. Great guitar sound.

  • Genius Gustin !!

  • the moody blue;s have given song;s twist with

a very good harmony;s thank you

  • moody blues are the best if you don;t know the words to the tune then listen to the song

  • this is one of my favorite songs of my life, so inspiring especially for the small hours....

  • I will always love the music of the Moody Blues, and the Blue Jays was a continuation of that as the the Moodies were taking a five year hiatus. You can tell John and Justin have a special working relationship and enjoy signing/playing together. I think John must be a pretty good sport to keep playing with all that blue confetti falling in his hair, which must have been just a little distracting.

  • I wasn't much of a fan of these guys until a special lady told me about them. I will never like them as much as she does, but I gotta say they are talented singers and musicians. She loves them and they make her happy. That's good enough for me. For you, my sweet Georgia Belle.

  • A timeless classic that most people refer to a part of their life.....brilliant.

  • yes your quite right !

  • God meant for Justin Hayward to use his beautiful voice and bless us with it, just as He meant for John and Justin to sound like angels! Their harmony is HEAVENLY! Never get sick of looking at Justin, and John is good eye candy, too!

  • Saw them all together a few years ago, they still have it and more ! Rock On Moodies !

  • If only they'd come back. Somehow though, after over 30 years, i think they'd have lost a touch of magic somewhere!

  • Come back? They haven't been away since 1978 and they're still around and having seen them only a few days ago, I can tell you no magic has been lost.

  • @thedustcart

Did you get to see them in '09? The magic is still there!!!

  • Absolutly great song!! Timeless!!!!

  • love the riffs, there music will live forever, isn't it just amazing

  • O.K., now, ladies.......they're just men! Well, they sing pretty good, play very well, look pretty good, O.K., go for it!

  • yah baby!
