Happy days at the Phono, sat afternoon 12-4,then to pub, home or wherever to redo hair & makeup, then back at Phono for 9.. and that was just the blokes, lol

Really sad to see the end of Nevilles, the chap that was there in the 80's was still there last time I went, like me he was a lot older, perhaps, again like me, his working days are over. The end of an era, you could buy anything at Nevilles and if you just wanted a couple of nails they were happy to sell you them. Places like that are few and far between. Very, very sad.

The market round the back has to be one of the seediest places in Leeds. I like it though.

That's certainly not the Merrion in it's heyday. The bit I miss is the flying machine. I used to go watch that as a child regularly. None of the old mechanical bits seem to work any more now although many of them are still there.
