I read the description and, having the same range and power as Cornell in my own voice (not my opinion, but I've been told it often enough), I wanted to hear someone else singing it......needless to say, this dude fucking sucks. This song is hard to sing, no doubt, but dropping the vocal by 3 octaves and then claiming you're getting 100% is an embarrasment. But it's only a game so why should anyone else care...? Ha!
as much as i like this song, it didnt fit with the album at all, its the only song like it on the entire album, and probably gave people the wrong idea of soundgarden when they put it on rb as dlc
didnt mean hard songs, haha, just meant that it didnt really fit with the rest of the album, as far as the way it sounded, it was almost a thrashy kinda thing, only thing remotely close to it was face pollution, and that had more of a punk feel to it
i'm not trying to insult you or anyone...but I hate it when people sing the songs an octave lower...it sounds so different and makes the song sound bad. :-(
I am so gonna get this game now I know I can do this tune, and I'm gonna do it full voice at the high notes. I'm severely dissapointed that neither rock band nor guitar hero recognise octaves. That takes pretty much all the challenge out of vocal mode on both games.
I know how to use vibrato - I've over a hundred other videos where I use it. It scores very poorly in any karaoke video game, and I don't use it when I'm barely hanging onto my score because a song is unfamiliar (remember: I'd heard the song for the first time 3 days before I made this video).
I also know exactly where my vocal range is, and there's no way I can hit any of these high notes as a low baritone/borderline bass.
I'm a baritone with bass reach and I'm able to extend into the soprano range.
It is possible to reach the notes/extend your range through just pushing or forcing your voice up there. It's how I kind of did it. Just a suggestion. I've heard it may damage though.
My only problem is that it's really hard to put vibrato on those higher notes.
And I do understand the difficulty of just trying to sing something you've written fairly recently or heard recently.
as you pointed out, vibrato is not exactly something that you "learn." It is very difficult to put it on those higher notes--basically you just have to scream it out until your vocal muscles are developed enough to do it without screaming at full power.
Sounds like a Chinese immigrant fucked up on weed singing. At least this mother fucker can sing on key and knows the song. Cornell has a wide range and this song is tougher than Black Hole Sun.
Thanks a lot for this! I've been nagging other singers like Vixenita, billtvshow, and pinkpixy to do this as well, so thanks for finally filling the request!
It's actually "not" that hard to get 100% if you're just humming and matching the arrow to the lines. But trying to sing it with lyrics and not sound like a drunk rodent, on the other hand, is much more difficult...
For scoring purposes, this should be a relatively simple FC as long as you don't care about how you sound.
Jesus Christ Pose is deceptively difficult on EVERY instrument. It's not disgustingly fast, but the beats are tricky, the vocals are amazingly off-key, and the fretwork on both bass and guitar is really strange.
I like the lyrics in this song, but it's aggravatingly difficult to FC on vocals because almost everything is off-key chromatics. I can only surmise that Chris Cornell has perfect pitch, because heaven knows *I* can't remember what pitches are supposed to be in this song.
Sad part is, I almost FC'd it on my sightread just because following the pitchline was easier than trying to sing it.
The instrumental part is tremendously noisy and unmusical. It's technically brilliant, and the discordant notes fit the tone of the song, but it's not really pleasing to the ears, I agree. I much prefer the more melodic songs from Soundgarden.
Sounds like someone with downs.

Very flat notes.

Eh.
I would learn vibrato. You need to learn to put more emotion in your vocals. You sound monotone.
Test your range. Maybe you'll be able to reach those original notes.
Overall, not the greatest performance ever.

Do people ever read video descriptions?

We could probably get 1st across platform on this with a few runs.

Yeah that was with you, Alex and Brad. I blew up the first three phrases and "pitch-fished" FC'd the rest of the song.
...and then I go to do this video and literally screw up almost every single phrase in the song at least once (50+ attempts).

Very interesting song. I've been meaning to download it for the drum chart, but the vox seem quite challenging as well.
I have a friend with perfect pitch who plays RB... bet he'd have a hell of a fun time with this song.
