  • A very layered, powerful, healing film about how war affects families so many years later. And it's actually funny in parts when you see the family doing crazy patterns they learned in the war. I really enjoyed this film and learn more each time I see it. It's on PBS again May 14 & I highly recommend it.

  • My heart breaks apart whenever I see the scene of those vietnamese people crowed together and the old lady getting scared when they fire the tank guns.. she reminds me so much of my grandma :(

  • A deep and important, yet different look at fallout from the Vietnam war.

  • Just saw it at the Bluestockings bookstore in NYC. It's pretty good. I like it better than Journey to the Fall.

    Its even inspired me to make a film about my own family, piecing interviews of all my family members into one long saga. Just for our view though.
