Yup Texas is Scientology free. Glad to be rid of those greedy fools. Trying to fill peoples head with blatant lies and make them all paranoid schizophrenics through sessions of mental abuse. Ridiculous.
1. YOU have incorrect information about scientology. If your statement is valid, so is mine.
2. Freedom of religion is NOT the same as freedom from the IRS. You are still free to practice your religion, but its business income must fall under normal business tax laws.
3. Scientology creates its own enemies. "Fair Game," TR-L´s and the countless tales of cruelty from ex-scientologists add fuel to the fire.
4. This isnt promoting hate, its promoting justice. Nice try though.
@jtsmails 1:this information is infact correct for it was on the news here in ohio stateing that CO$ will lose thier Tax Exempt Status in TEXAS because they have failed to prove they are infact a religion.
2: studied interviews have proven that in order for a religion to be a real Religion people do not have to pay or Forced to pay to the teaching of the Beliefs but are ofcourse can pay if they want in DONATIONS.

We are anonymous, we are legion, we do not forgive, we do not forget, expect us, united forever, divided by 0, we are coming
I would like to congratulate the state of Texas for sticking to their guns and not bending the three objectives to suit scientology's being. As it was posted below, "The rest of the U.S. needs to follow suit" by user name, RustyGonzo, it is normally the first crack that takes the longest to make, after that one crack has been formed and the force does not let up, it is only a matter of time before America follows Germany and France in ridding the company. I hope Canada makes progress soon. . .
If they are going to be taxed may as well get the unions in as well so they can declare what the minimum wage should be instead of 15 to $20 for a 60 hour week in the false hope that they will get audited for free when they get saint hill size which any moron can now see that's impossible so why work for $20 for 60 hours? Seems strange to me since billionaire Tom, Cruise also gets perks on top of that from Miscavige it seems a very cruel system to hurt the poor & struggling over rich celebs.
God or no God, it's good to have a clear definition of what religion is. Finally $cientology will be unable to hide under the cloak of religion.
Now Cult of $cientology (Co$) will now have to pay the government that will pay the law enforcement to track down their crimes and courts to judge them for their illegal actions.
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.
You don't have to agree, that is your right. But why have a reason to hate?
scientology is not a religion, it's a scam that uses the 'cover" of religion too avoid being found out by the masses and squelched like the dangerous cult that it is. In fact scientology enjoys tax exemptions that
scientology is not a religion, it's a scam that uses the 'cover" of religion too avoid being found out by the masses and squelched like the dangerous cult that it is. In fact scientology enjoys tax exemptions that NO other religion does. Outrageous at best. Bring down this cult, good job Texas!
i know this is a little off topic, but someone has been buging me to try and find out. Opra winfree, and that little guy from titanic, are they scientologists?
This truly is great news and a victory for Anonymous. Even if this doesn't pass, which going by the conditions how can it not, it has bought the attention of political leaders.
The thing is CoS could change to fit the first two parts (faith statement and worship services) but if it makes its material free to the public, Anon has won, for the most part.
1. March 29th was the Democratic Caucus and convention not RNC.
2. A county resolution can be brought up by anyone this is far from policy. These conventions allow anyone to amend or create really anything as to make a suggestion. I see no data as to was it adopted to pass on to the state level or not.
3. Once at state it then gets put into huge piles as only suggestion and will likely go no further as the federal level as already established what is stipulated.
Basically the resolution goes to the state convention which I do not understand as the DNC held the caucuses, but perhaps the Repubs moved delegates up to the state level. That said I just want to put out the truth here, that this kind of resolution is a dime a dozen at conventions that are mere suggestions that amount to beans at the state level. This is not the state congress but party events to funnel up delegates to eventually go to the national level.
This was the Republican Convention for Galveston County. I will be a delegate at the State Republican convention on June 12th and 14th in houston. Making sure this resolution gets noticed and continues up the chain.
Does anyone else think that the church could pump out a statement of faith and bend the definition of "worship" in about a day? #3 may be harder for the church-but maybe not.
Their legal team is top notch I assume.
Nothing less than fantastic legal counsel need to pursue and vie for this revocation. How do we do that?

This comment has received too many negative votes show
Few things:
1 - You have incorrect information about Scientology
2 - If you were a true American believing in America's values, you would respect Freedom of Religion
3 - Scientology is not your enemy so why are you making them out to be?
4 - Hatred for mankind NEVER benefited anyone - it is actually irrational/anti-social to promote hate
Side Note: Please study your history and Constitution
