  • soooo "Spliced" inspiration?

  • 'Ohhh...they got mental dis-a-bility...living with a spilt personality...ohh the wuzzles..bring em muzzles..oh oh yeah...get em away from that gun, or just bloody ruuunnnn...da da dum' Wonder if theres a part psychiatrist part rottweiler in wuz? It might have just been to sell toys but I always thought the characters in this were pretty good.

  • @BelatedCommiseration Yeeeeaaaah!!! and to think...... I always wonted to be a Wuzzle to!!! x)

  • @Helthfreak12 Hmmm...don't know if I ever wanted to be a Wuzzle...I mean didn't you hear the song? These guys have serious mental issues! A split personality?! Just think of the expense in counselling alone and the frequent trips to the little padded room of Wuz? If I had to be anyone I suppose I would have to be the racoon tycoon because at least he has a money tree and can afford the bills and maybe the odd bribe paid to the warder to let him out the crazy wing early.

  • @BelatedCommiseration Reallly? D: Ah... so i was the only kid that actually wonted to be a Wuzzle!?! :S Yeah I hear the song, I hear it.... thats tro as well, I guess I have to be careful what i wish for now.... I could have been a Wuzzle!!!! DX from under Dulce New Mexico..... I MEAN The land of Wuz!!!! :)

  • and this is why animals don't mate with other species

  • I wonder how high those guys were when they made this...

  • Ah yes, the wuzzles. Where is the dvd's for this? I used to watch this as a kid. I loved it. I would love to share it with my 3 yr old nephew.

  • Comment removed

  • My sister had the half Walrus half Sheep stuffed Wuzzle

  • Why hasn't this made a comeback yet? Seriously.

  • had the Wuzzles presto magix board it was awesome and very colorful! thumbs up!

  • łza się w oku kręci... a teraz lecą hanna montana, ben 10 i inne takie tam.

  • I remember this show as a kid....... Robot Chicken ruined this for me, though XDDD

  • ah yes wuzzles, honestly it was one of the shows I loved as a kid, Disney certainly knew how to get the attention of children back then and they were on the forefront of the cartoon line ups until they decided to change to the tween/teen sitcoms, still the older generation has memories and recordings of these to show the kids of now how it was done. most comments i've seen of this show have been positive so maybe one day this will get a DVD release for those who feel nostalgic.

  • The original Pokemon.

  • Loved this when I was a kid! I had a half zebra half fox Wuzzle teddybear... Memories :)

  • Hands up if you had to play this clip at least twice because you just didn't want the music to end! They just don't make catchy themes like this anymore!

  • "living with a split personality" is this a show about schizophrenic pink puff animals?

  • @orEvil That's what I thought when I first heard this. How did THAT lyric get past the producers?

Though the correct term is Dissociative Identity Disorder. A real condition. Played for laughs by a children's show.

  • @prue6967 yeah I know, but most people associate that with schizophrenia so thats what I wrote. oh, I helped to make people dumb out of laziness didn't I? :D

  • @orEvil That's perfectly fine. But either way, there's something seriously wrong with that lyric. O_o

  • 12 people aren't a Wuzzle!!

  • I'm so glad I had hippie parents who didn't allow TV. This is what I missed? LMAO

  • Ahhh.... Disney back when it still had quality...

    Thanks for uploading this, btw...!

  • so cute, brings back memories

  • <.<.........teaching children to accept people with "split personalities".....how touching....except when that Elephant goes nuts and stabs a fool.

  • 0:37 Those poor unsuspecting mammals. D:

  • Anyone else find it a little strange that the bad guy in the show is the only character that's just one animal?

  • @Robogabriel Actually he's supposed to be half Crocadile/half T-Rex. *lol*

  • "The got originality living with a split personality"? Am I only one who finds that line somewhat disturbing? But maaaaan, nostalgia.

  • I completely forgot that Disney was once awesome.....

  • @SaitohYatate Disney is still pretty awesome. Disney channel, not so much.

  • @Robogabriel Well, no comment about Disney Channel, disney today is still very entertaining, it's just that it doesn't have the same "vibe" if you know what I mean.

  • I used to watch this when I was a kid.

  • This cartoon was EPIC!

  • I loved them as a kid. ^_^

  • Talk about another memory from my childhood.

  • i had the books when i was a kid lol omg this brings me wayyyyyyyyyyyy back

  • OMG!! I loved thar show!! I wish it still on tv! somebody know where or how can I get it in spanish?

  • i wonder if they are all on medication now to help with the split personalty thing

  • I totally forgot i use to love this show, thank god for youtube hahah

  • They stole my name!

  • HIs names in spanish are Abeleón, Osaposa, Monorrino, Cangofante y Focaalce xD

  • Holy crap! This brings back memories. We didn't have Disney channel back then so I wanted my parents to order the Disney channel just for this. :D

  • omg! i've used to freaking LOVE this show when i was a child! xD

  • OMG, Eleroo, Butterbear, Bumbelion, Moosel and Rhinokey........I cant believe I even remember their names........I loved these guys when I was younger!!

  • @lisarodgers1012 And Hoppopotamus!! :)

  • Although I miss the old Disney Channel, I'm not gonna lie. Even as a young kid I hated the Wuzzles. For me it was too weird & boring.

  • I wanna be 5 years old again :(((((

  • "Hopopotomus" looks too much like Rosie O'Donnell.

  • This and Fantastic Max were like the best ones out at the time :)

  • Oh yes I remember this!!! I had a stuffed Bumbelion. And do you remember Gummy Bears??

  • my grandma had the book of this and i LOVED IT! ha

  • wow, this brings me back... i had the board game!! so crazy.

  • I had a wuzzle! It was the elephant/butterfly one, if I remember correctly. I loved that thing.

  • @UnveiledAngel I still have a stuffed Bumbelion at home in the closet somewhere...

  • @warrenbutt Unfortunately, my mom often moved us around and left all our things behind :( It was the sad fate of my Carebear, Barbie dolls, and extensive collection of My Little Ponies.

  • @UnveiledAngel Do you mean Eleroo? He was a Elephant mixed with a Kangaroo. And they all had wings. ButterBear was the only ones big enough to let her fly I think.

  • @newcollector Ah! That's the one, thank you.

  • This show was so fuckin badass.

  • damn why is this not on dvd!

  • Ah the Land of Wuz. That's the land for me. Every morning I wake up wishing I was in the Land of Wuz.

  • lol... money grows on trees.

  • i live in singapore and i got to watch dis back then!!! YEAH FOR ME......

  • i've only ever seen one episode of this show bc i didnt have american tv back then. just a vhs my cousin taped and gave me, man did i watch that episode repeatedly lol goood times

  • what the hell is a wuzzel ?

  • @tail212 lmao!! didn't you pay any attention to the theme song?! LMAO!! Two different animals rolled up in one....You have to be at least 30 yrs old to remember these guys.

  • @19311978 I'm 23.:P

  • @tail212 -- better question: What ISN'T a Wuzzle? I completely forgot about these guys...my 7-year-old would love these guys.

  • @matt2009xxx elecunt

  • I feel sorry for these freaks. They mean well, but they will always be outcasts from society.

  • this cartoon is better then the cartoons they have today. 80's rock!

  • @popalock1000

So true. Can somebody tell me what the hell cartoons kids these days watch? Shows about a sponge who is in the closet, some animated reality show-wannabe, and a platypus? Give me a freakin' break. Animated TV shows have really gone downhill since my day. At least Japan can still come up with some great shows thankfully...

  • Kind of sad how all these cartoons were basically made to sell toys.

  • so its a show about bipolar animals :p lol

  • We are all going to be Wuzzles in the next few centuries; a little bit of this and a little bit of that.

  • See what happens when two different animals have sex together!! haha

  • @hobbit151 Ahh yes, Robot Chicken. Lion fucking a bumble bee. Guess where donkey human came from.

  • To Winclaw...I like that statement very poetic...

  • Ah the Land of Wuz.... That's the place for me.

  • I remember this show; it was ok, IMO, but damn this song just DOES NOT GO AWAY! It has been stuck in my head for nights.

  • @Robogabriel= Do what I do when this happens to me. Play you favorite Eighties hard rock band until it goes away. I recommend Bon Jovi. Ha ha.

  • @vigo894 Yes, i do that, just bombarde myself with so much more crap (songs, videos) until it's buried under even more useless entertainment. I'm sumer ADD that way.

  • @Robogabriel= Better than the useless entertainment out ther right now. (Justin Beiber).

  • @vigo894

All it took me to to hate that Beiber fucker was hearing his name.

    Seriously.

  • wow that was pretty cheezy

  • Have you snuzzled a wuzzle today?!

    Totally brings back memories!

  • I'm selling two of these characters on ebay... Item number: 250589077787

  • @hsxvvd How did it go? Hope your shameless bit of self-promotion was worth it!!

  • Ahh, they don't make cartoons like this anymore.

  • @andyknight1 Thank God

  • im 17 and i remember this so well. i had the stuffed toys, and used to watch the cartoon on tv of a morning i think....MY CHILDHOOD!

  • Is the Land of Wuz near Bikini Atoll, by chance?

  • This show and Gummi Bears each preceded Duck Tales by a season or two.

  • i used to read a book about these characters when i was 4, but never saw a cartoon of them :(

  • Search "care bears back in action" for an awesome Care Bears Parody. You will not be disappointed.

  • I have ideas for some awesome new Wuzzles: Goosephant (goose-elephant), Ursagriff (bear-eagle), Foxeagle, Hyenawolf, Reindog (reindeer-dog), and Dinodolphin. Plus if they ever make a remake of this cartoon, they HAVE to add a Dragonwolf!

  • SHUT UP! I still have my eleroo too! I even have the christmas video from 1985 of me opening it up. This was a classic. Try submitting this show idea to networks now. Animals that talk and have split personalities lol.

  • I use to watch this everyday as a child..and im 28 and i still remember this..

  • Dude, me too, and I'm 28 too. I think I may have reverted during that one minute intro.

  • @J742 Same here and every time it was on I sang as loud as I could along :D with my hoppo plushe next to me :D

  • i remember bits of the show. my sister's and i each had a different wuzzle, i still have my eleroo!

  • omg i so remember getting up every saturday morning to watch this! i had a bumblelion stuffed animal!! (im a guy so i cant call it a doll lol)

  • Wow sometone actually did a spoof of this cartoon! that is sooo cool, this show is a acid trip mang!

  • its funny wen dey did dis on ROBOT CHICKEn

  • I remeber watching this on GMTV and on TV when I was little and I'm glad I got a cuddly Bumblelion from Ebay in February.

  • @Aaronator19842009 Well, you can't remember it that well, cos it was known as TV-am back in those days!!

  • You know, thats really a disconcerting premise.... the implications are very upsetting.

  • ah great memories. i use to start my saturday mornings off with The Wuzzles at 7am in the morning. great cartoon. I even had a Wuzzles Trapper Keeper for school. lol i wish i could go back to the 80's. great times.

  • whoa!!! Holy christ on a pogo stick! Words don't describe the flash back I just had. I agree with Windclaw. When Disney was still freaking Disney and not a Michael Eisner blitzkrieg.

  • @TheYogibeal Actually, this show was made around the time Eisner joined Disney.

  • Same here! I just had a wham flash back of sitting in front of the living room tv pushing aside a Bumble Bear action figure and a Barbie bridal gown looking for something that I needed for playing with my Princess Jasmine doll

  • @TheYogibeal Michael Eisner ran Disney during the 80s.

  • @TheYogibeal Um. You DO know that Wuzzles was CREATED by Michael Eisner right? :P

  • @RaphGirl= Wow, Eisner? You learn something new every day.

  • @TheYogibeal Funny thing is, this show was created by Eisner...

  • I forgot the name of this cartoon too, I remeber watching it folding newspapers when I had my newspaper route when I was 14, yea..I was olderbut I still watch Alice in wonderland and I am in my late 30's hahahha!

  • hobbit51, that is so cool man. I hear where you are coming from.

  • Great cartoon! I used to watch it when I was a child...it was a hit in Brazil; this song was translated to Portuguese. I used to tape it many times...

  • Awwh I use to LOVE The Wuzzles.

    & WIdget the World Watcher!!

    Does anyone remember that?

I use to have the video game, yusss.

  • Ohh they got originality...and that's why they got cancelled.

  • No this was cool!! it just didnt last, they need to make a remake of this show!!

  • I miss you Disney. "sniff"

  • The Disney of Darkwing Duck, Gargoyles, and Ducktails. The Disney that no longer exists, save in memory alone.

  • I agree. They replace good shows like this, the Aladdin Cartoon and Bonkers with garabage like Brandi And Mr. Whiskers and the Replacements

  • @Windclaw I completely agree! Disney shows will never be what they once were. Sad.

  • Featuring the voices of Brian Cummings as Bumblelion and Flizard, Henry Gibson as Eleroo, Joanne Worley as Hoppopotamus, Bill Scott as Moosel and Brat, Kathleen Helpie as Butterbear, Alan Oppenheimer as Rhinokey, Croc and Mr. Pack Cat, and Stan Freberg as the Narrator.

  • Holy shit!!! I'm four years old again!!!

  • I never could remember the name of this show but now I remembered.

  • i remember having bubblelion he was my favourite! this programme is old school!

  • i remember having bubblelion he was my favourite! this programme is old school!

  • thats F-ed up

  • LOLZ

i remember these failed experiments! XD

  • The synthesizer in the begin really shows the 80s style.

  • cangufante, monorino y abeleon, los demas no me acuerdo como eran traducidos al castellano

  • i so love thsi video it so cool and so wacht this show when i litte

  • Eleroo. Elephant + Kangaroo.

Ya know, I was never 100% sure if Eleroo was a girl or a guy. most likely girl, since only girl kangaroos have pouches.

  • @Fetch26291 Eleroo was definately a guy.

  • THE WUZZLES! Not many peep have heard of these freak of natures. I use to have the bedsheets & everything.........I'm still odd & I blaim this show! lol

  • The sad thing is this was filmed on Disneys genetic island where they store their failed experiments

  • The Wuzzles are Great Its Amazing how Disney Could Create a Place Called the land of Wuz Where Everthing is 2 in 1

  • Dang it! Lol, this brings back so many memories...I had the bear/butterfly doll up until last year.....can't remember what happened to it.

  • Thanks so much for posting this. I don't think I've seen this since the show was on back on Saturday mornings! I'll never forget how excited I got when I saw this intro back as a 1st/2nd grader. It was just so different from all the other Saturday cartoons!

  • somereason reminds me something when i was young but i donno what. O well always good to see reminders from the past

  • Croc is one of my favourite ever villains.I remember when he tried to blag his way into Butterbears house, they called his bluff and fuckin tortured him! Back to the leaky old ship.

  • i have a Wuzzles book

and i had NO idea what it was haha

    i guess now i do...

  • I had completely forgotten about the show

I use to watch it every Sat morning. Sat morning cartoons are not the same as they use to be.

  • LOL aww the memories it makes me feel old...

  • wow the memories!~

  • They're grooving with split personalities!

Who knew schizophrenia could be such psychadelic fun?

  • LMAO!!!!

  • thank you akira 081971

  • I like the theme song, but I've watched a couple episodes of this show recently, and I didn't like it. I found that show to be a total Care Bears ripoff. In my opinion, Gummi Bears was a lot better than this show.

  • i love the wuzzels

what was the name of the lion again?

when i was a child i watch show every time it came on tv this show is full of jokes i love it

  • I believe it was Bumblelion.

  • dandelion

  • I used to watch this all the time when I was little. I liked Bumble Lion the best.

  • At my times there wasn`t be that fairytale, but my older Sister had got tape with one film, when they making some cakes, but I don`t remember anything else ^^

  • Lovely <3

  • eu lembro deste desenho, adorava!

  • i miss the good cartoons loved the wuzzles and shirt tales

  • As corny as this was, it's better than some of the cartoon trash you get these days on shows like Adult Swim (Aqua Teen Hunger Force) and Comedy Central (Drawn Together). The level of immaturity in those shows is obnoxious to the point it feels childish. Ironic, because it's obviously strictly for adults.

  • ATHF is okay but Drawn Together is just so blatantly offensive and inane it's hard ot explain it's atrociousness.

  • In the 1980's, television cartoons served no other purpose than to market toys and other merchandise to children within the age demographic. Why do you think the opening themes for these shows had all of these sound and light show effects? To get kids all wound up and to make sure they don't forget the fifty main characters in the show. The 80's had a lot of shows that focused on friendly gangs or groups. Any behavior that strayed away from the group would be considered bad or counterproductive.

  • amen to that. Probably why the 90s was such a turn because people who grew up in the 70/80s had to deal with crap like this all their lives where creativity was castrated from tv animation, I'd probably go insane to have to draw such characters over and over again.

  • my opinion is this: I love the cartoons of the 80s and 90s. Tiny Toons, Animaniacs, Darkwing Duck, Ducktales, that were brilliant shows, not comparable with todays shows (also when Kim Possible isn`t so bad)

    but the Wuzzles...

    oh my god!

They must be the most hideous thing Michael Eisner ever created!

And I mean that. The idea behind them cvame form Eisner. Dear god, the gummi bears where better than this!

  • Well it's kinda a good idea for a younger kids saturday morning cartoon, take to combine two animals and draw them childish and friendly.

  • aw i remember this :D

  • this shit look gay, i like alota old cartoons but im glad i missed this one.

  • oh wow. this takes me back. i think i still have an episode or two of the wuzzles on video at home :P

  • .I still have a wuzzle!!!

  • Are you kidding me? Some of the greatest cartoons ever made came out in the 80s

  • i agree with heylookitsme07. the 80s had the best cartoons. the cartoons these days suck! like spongebob. i mean, what the heck? that's why producers make scandalous cartoons like south park and family guy (which i love too). children's cartoons these days lack originality and substance.

  • Family guy and Southpark like simpsons is an adult cartoon 80s toons where better but they where squarely aimed at kids most toons today are aimed at a slightly older demograph spongebob looks very childish but it has gags that will make many adults laugh (i loved the spongbob movie)but i do agree todays lack originality i love the likes of samurai jack, powerpuff girls,Ben 10 and co but you cant beat the originality of galaxy high,c.o.p.s,bravestarr,thundercats,visionaries ect.

  • "children's cartoons these days lack originality and substance." that's what we call the eighties era of cartoons.

  • the cartoons of the 80s had originality and great plot lines yeah some might of been a little kooky but thats what added to their charm you had characters you could identify with wonderful settings and some of the greatest theme tunes ever you dont have to like this one but dont judge all 8os cartoons by it
