I search up London Police Chase, and instead of some European car dodging thru traffic, or some old British Leyland, or even a goddamn Fiat... I see a bicycle chase... This guy was obviously so dangerous and a threat to the community... for doing what the average cyclist does in NYC without hesitating in the middle of traffic. LOL
Mate ive worked in both London and NYC as a courier and London streets are way way more dangerous.. The road lay out in the states is way better.. Just look at a London road map its like spaghetti.. The police here go after cyclists cos its easy money that is it..
@E17bikes I think you and I both agree there's no reason he should have been stopped... I've seen cyclist do this mid-traffic in NYC and not get stopped. Its obvious that the police have nothing better to do in this situation but stop a guy on a bike.
@oDTheTruth If you read the description its said he jumped a red light.. In London its very normal for the police to hide at busy junctions in central London and do on the spot fines for jumping a redlight, I guess this vid is the aftermath of the incident when the guy did a runner...
And from experience he did a runner cos the fine would be about the same amount as a days pay and in courier land thats bollocks...
At 'work', we refer to this small minority (dangerous and without an atom of respect for all other road users) of cycle couriers as 'Donors'...they just keep those organs rolling in! Appreciate the vid triniriderz.
@cliffjumper24 you're making a lot of assumptions about me there. I'm Boris Johnson you know, I invented the Barclays bike sonny so dont give me any backchat cos I wont stand for it least of all on the interweb - chocks away. . .lets ride!
Where were the cops when I got hit by a car on the Strand? Where were they when I got hit by a car jumping a red light on Westminster Bridge? Where? Cyclists should be able to RLJ if its clear and no one is in danger, just like as a pedestrian, you'de not wait for the green man to cross the road at a pelican crossing.
@MrPotNoodle77 Where were they when you nearly ran over that pedestrian on a pelican crossing, or went up a one way street, or scraped someones car because you were in a hurry to deliver a package?!
Okay, that was an arbitrary rant... but that's what cycle couriers do.
You're like the motorists who complain about speed cameras.... a tax on people who can't obey speed limits.
The rules are there to keep everyone safe... if you break them and get caught, who's fault is it?
Why dont the cops leave us alone to work, and concentrate on catching real criminals? Theres enough crack, murder, dangerous cycle-killer drivers, rapists, that those two motorbike riders could be usefully employed to run down instead of wasting tax money pissing off and making more angry a probably already stressed to the limit courier. Nobs.
@hbxr1 probably not from two motorbikes. A fast courier who knows the streets can outrun pushbike police or a car, but not motorbikes cos them guys are as fast and menoueverable as a cycle courier. Thankfully I've never been chased, as I try not to make stupid mistakes in front of cops as I'd rather just deliver my package without hassle
