  • The day after seeing this, I entered a store and heard the O Jays' "Love Train" playing over the sound system. I anf half the other shoppers were fighting back open laughter---guess they'd watched this too!

  • @BeatleEDs - I was at both. Beck's was much smaller.... and why the hell does it matter anyways? This rally was mostly entertainment

  • Is it just me, or is Yusef the only person on that stage who can still hold a tune :(

  • The rally was so much fun and totally worth the 9 hour drive from Michigan :)

  • This is what I call a TRAIN WRECK

  • Never trust a Hippie

  • and the most legendary band in late night, The Roots!!

  • I like to imagine that if Micheal Jackson were still alive, he would be there too.

    :)

    :P

  • Why does iTunes store not have "Black Sabbath" music yet has ozzy's after he left black sabbath?

  • aw, it cut off during the song

  • Gods, how did these people get through the sketch w/o falling to the stage laughing insanely? GREAT STUFF!!!

  • Gods, how did these people get through the program w/o falling to the stage laughing insanely? GREAT STUFF!!!

  • And by the way, as for Yusuf, whether you know him on a first name basis or not, will never say, " I'm YOU ! ". Thank you for singing together for a CHANGE.

  • lol reminds me somehow of southpark episode 100

  • A Jew, A Muslim, A Catholic and The Dark Lord walk into a bar...

  • The part about the media using the magnifying glasses to burn ants was spot on. I'm sure they'll shortly go apeshit over the fact that Yusuf performed his train song during the ballad of three trains because he made some controversial remarks twenty years ago about Salman Rushdie...

  • cat islam you sucks song

  • @hotcuts6064 dude... not cool

  • Political theatre at it's best. The "Train Trifecta" was the highlight on a show of highlights. Peace Train and Crazy Train dissolved into cacophony of conflict yet Love Train brought it all together.

    ROCK THE VOTE!

  • @hoz49 You have to hand it to the team of writers at the Daily Show. They may just be the best in the business. Imagine thinking this up and then watching it happen!

  • A R“ally to Restore Sanity in Washington DC”? Is that means that Stewart @ Colbert think that Obama regime is NOT sane yet and want to replace it with some other party? In that case we all should bring America back to sanity and vote Republicans and meet Stewart @ Colbert’s demand!

  • @Salamwamat Stewart @ Colbert?

Dude, learn how to use the @ sign properly,. and I'm not even going to comment on the nonsense you just spewed

  • best part of the whole rally!

  • cat was correct then

    yusuf is correct now

  • Yusuf/ Cat rocks, and watchin' JS dance was priceless (and of course Ozzy was his usual douche self)

  • Where the F is the rest of Peace Train?!

  • Cat was great. He must need the money.

  • @TodaysThought Believe me he doesn't need the money!

  • Very old white crowd.

  • @TodaysThought you obviously didn't look very closely, moron...also :)

  • Peace Train? Crazy Train? Love Train? All in one video moment?

    Jeez.

  • @Xboxbob11 All aboard! What a brilliant comedy/performance bit. Hats off to the Daily Show/Colbert Report writing teams.

  • WOAHHH awesome.

Why didn't they say Yusuf Islam tho?

  • @hellozainab That was just answered less than an hour before you asked the question.

  • TSOP!

  • Thanks for posting! Brilliant!

  • Yusuf + Ozzy + O'Jays = A Train I Can Climb Aboard.

  • To make a more shallow comment, as much as I love Stephens air guitar, I love Gus Gs actual playing more. Would of been nice to get at least one shot of him, it's not like its hard to miss the long haired Greek man in leather pants.

  • LOL when did we let Cat back, great to see him again.

  • I loved it. Good to see the real America on TV for a change. We need to build on that.

  • Ozzy is a good example of why not to do drugs...

  • @BrinkmanTraining Um. thanks .. I guess.

  • @BrinkmanTraining

    Keeping what real? Your paranoia

  • @BrinkmanTraining wow, what an 'insane' comment as if that has to do with anything that happened today, douchebag...also :)

  • @BrinkmanTraining

    What EXACTLY are you smoking?

CEO of the New York Stock Exchange? Thats Duncan L Niederauer, who succeeded John Thain before him!

Jon Leibowitz is the Chairman of the Federal Trade Commission, and he has NO relation to Jon Leibowitz who later changed his name to Jon Stewart!!

Besides, if that were true, what kind of lazy ass parents would they have, calling both their sons "Jon"??

Wake up and smell the coffee please.... and stop spreading outright lies, its just disgraceful

  • @beliha Thank you for bringing the facts to this topic.

  • @BrinkmanTraining anti semetic much?

  • @BrinkmanTraining

so? he's not responsible for his brother's actions...

  • @BrinkmanTraining please review this video and try to understand the message.

  • @BrinkmanTraining You're not just keeping it real.

  • "I've listened to preachers

    I've listened to fools

    I've watched all the dropouts

    Who make their own rules

One person conditioned to rule and control

The media sells it and you live the role"

Maybe it's not too late to learn how to love and forget how to hate...

Ozzy's been speaking truth for a long time.

  • before anyone falls for this "peace" crap from a dude who converted to islam, bear in mind he (stevens) called for and supported the killing of salman rushdie. islam wants to take over the world, period, and they'll do whatever it takes.

  • @elambus1 wonder why they didn't introduce him by his full name, Yusuf Islam?

  • @grichardanderson I don't think his name is legally Yusuf Islam. It could be his stage name.

  • @grichardanderson He changed it from Cat Stevens to Yusuf Islam to Yusuf.

  • @SunnySJamil He changed his name to Yusuf Islam after his conversion to Islam.

  • @AliKhan567 Okay.

  • @SunnySJamil Yusuf Islam is his legal name, his name was never actually 'Cat Stevens'

  • @Seamalicous I know that. His name was Steven Demetre Georgiou. I had thought that all the name changes were of stage names, but the fact is the following:

Steven Demetre Georgiou had a stage name which was Cat Stevens.

Post-conversion/post-revertion, he legally changed his name to Yusuf Islam.

Several years later, he adopted the stage name Yusuf.

  • @grichardanderson for sure they're plotting to overthrow the government (you're an idiot.)

  • @InTheAtticLights1 Hahahahaha

  • @grichardanderson: He was born Steven Demetre Georgiou, originally and commonly known by his former stage name Cat Stevens; he adopted his Muslim name, Yusuf Islam in December 1977. He now goes professionally by the single name Yusuf.

At least do some research before posting so many BS and asking ridiculous questions and comments.

  • @infantozzi LOL wow, didn't even see this comment. Just posted the same facts above.

  • @grichardanderson Richard, probably because the audience would have run out screaming in fear, if they had.

  • @grichardanderson I wonder why they didn't introduce Ozzy by his full name, Ozzy Osborne?

  • @Freak0id

Yes, it's funny how some people are making a stink about not introducing Yusuf by his full name, but no one's saying the same about Ozzy's introduction.

  • One of the highlights of the show. It was beautiful. It emphasized the main pint of the entire rally: the conflict between opposing ideologies and the ability for them to come together if they really try.

  • @grichardanderson Because that's his stage name. Go on amazon and type in YUSUF. His albums under his full name "Yusuf Islam" are all religiously themed. But all the albums released under just his first name alone: "YUSUF" are all his non religious songs.

  • @grichardanderson Difficult enough to say Yusef, i guess, instead of Joseph, just refer to ask Isa, Blessings Be Upon Him. Islam gives him the most respectful last name too. For fear mongers, or if you want warm and cozy, just look at Yusef Islam website, it is really cool and takin it back! to the Golden Oldies. Great Chronological Data about the former Cat, now, Yusef Islam.

  • @elambus1 He has repeatedly denied ever calling for the death of Rushdie or supporting the fatwa.

You should get your facts right.

Stop watching Beck. Your head is full of B S. Islam does not want to take over the world anymore than fundamentalist Christians do.

  • @elambus1 Bear in mind that he has denied that several times.

  • @elambus1 Not anymore than fundamentalist Christians and Jews do.

If you read all three books (like i have, back in the days of confusion), you would realize they are all basically the same, just different flavours of Bullshit for different people.

  • @elambus1 Not anymore than fundamentalist Christians and Jews do.

If you read all three books (like i have, back in the days of confusion), you would realize they are all basically the same, just different flavours of Bullshit for different people.

  • @elambus1 You are really mis-informed ...which I wouldn't give two shits about if you weren't spreading your ignorance around like typhoid fever. You are wrong on both counts. Where do you get your information?

  • @InTheAtticLights1 It is you who is painfully naive and obviously mis-informed. He did support the fatwa against Rushdie by the Ayatollah, essentially supporting a death sentence for writing a book. Even more disturbing, his associations and charities have been tied to terror groups. Now he wants to go back to singing the songs he gave up for Islam. Yank dollar for his charities. It's all on my page, and can be researched by any computer novice.

  • @moonstarshadow In 1989, at London's Kingston University, where he was asked about the fatwa calling for the death of author Salman Rushdie. The media interpreted his response as support for the fatwa. Yusuf released a statement the following day denying that he supported vigilantism, and claiming that he had merely recounted the legal Islamic punishment for blasphemy.

In a BBC interview, he displayed a newspaper clipping from that time period, which quotes from his statement.

  • @InTheAtticLights1 "merely recounted the legal Islamic punishment for blasphemy"

    nuff said...read more

  • @moonstarshadow becuase he stated it does not mean he agrees with it or supports it.

Catholics are banend from using contraception. If you ask a Catholic whether their church permits the use of contraception ,they will say no. What they support and do not support is a different issue. You, it seems, will believe what you want, facts be damned.

  • @InTheAtticLights1 "You, it seems, will believe what you want, facts be damned". That statement describes you more than I.

  • @InTheAtticLights1 That analogy is extremely weak. Catholics aren't calling for the death of people using contraceptives! Good grief, I tire of having to repeat myself, so I will bid you adeu.

  • @moonstarshadow Subsequent comments made by him in 1989 on a British television programme were also seen as being in support of the fatwa. In a statement in the FAQ section of his web site,Yusuf asserted that he was joking and that the show was improperly edited. In the years since these comments, he has repeatedly denied ever calling for the death of Rushdie or supporting the fatwa

  • @InTheAtticLights1 He wasn't joking, he was scared for his life. He had just embraced the fascist version of Islam. So making light of it now, just shows his true hypocrisy. He is a liar. I was a fan back then, but I dig deeper than what liberal apologists say.

  • @moonstarshadow the NEXT DAY he corrected the papers when they reported his statements. You really are dense. And how would you know if he was "scared for his life"? Ridiculous.

  • @InTheAtticLights1 Dense? Nice reply. Your shallow denials are his best friend. Yusef said when questioned about it "He must be killed. The Qur'an makes it clear - if someone defames the prophet, then he must die".

  • @moonstarshadow again "the NEXT DAY he corrected the papers when they reported his statements"

Your youtube page demonstrates an obsessive compulsive disorder with Islamo-phobia. Is that a relatively new passion? Seriously, when did you first start worrying about the motives of Islam.

Finally, it's funny to me that your seminal work about Yusef Islam, fka Cat Stevens has been taken down by Youtube b/c you violated his copyrights.

Of 1.6 Billion Muslims. a tiny fraction are terrorists.

  • @InTheAtticLights1 I'm not obsessed, I am informed. He said this more than once, but that is not my major concern with him. It's his charities and associations. This is not a passion. I don't worry about Islam, I want to know about it. This is not my seminal work, I have to have this channel separate becasue of his claims. It is not youtube who deleted the vids, it was Yusuf himself, he owns the right to his image, he could take this vid down if he wanted, but I am sure he like minions like you.

  • @InTheAtticLights1 I saw the entire programme where he supported the fatwa he had moonlightstars vid taken down because hes a coward and a liar and doesnt want to stand by what he said and his part in ruining a mans life .

if you see a crime and the criminal is being held up as a man of peace when he supports murder you have a duty to point that out

  • This was the most epic things I've ever seen! Glad I was there!

  • Fucking Classic!!!

  • Glenn Beck BOW ON YOU KNEES TO OZZY, CAT and the OJAYS!

  • @StormBowlingBalls they can rock a joke better than anyone I've ever heard. Peace/Crazy Train. I love it. I didn't tape it but Kid Rock performed with Sheryl Crow.

  • @StormBowlingBalls - beck got way more people without the rock stars. Go figure.

  • @TodaysThought You probably heard that on Beck. It's false. Beck got about 80,000. The same company that was hired to count his attendees was hired to count Rally4Sanity attendees. Raly4Sanity got about 215,000. Do you get tired of being wrong about the facts? Use you noodle instead of watching the drek Beck broadcasts.

  • @InTheAtticLights1 - LOL, Beck didn't get 80k silly. He got more like 400 or 500k. Thats not really disputed. Does it really matter.

  • @TodaysThought

Google "PhotOh! Side by side aerial shot of Rally to Restore Sanity (215K) and Beck rally (87K) at thepoliticalcarnival

    "

    Rally4Sanity 215,000

    Beck's Whitestock 87,000

  • Best Clip, very funny. People all over the world need to join hands and stop racism.

  • At least 10x's more people than that idiot Glenn Beck's rally. What does that tell you? LMAO!

  • @welcome2myhell It's not a competition but sure it's satisfying there are more people honoring sanity and laughing at fear than reacting fearfully - Glenn Beck is a paranoid bullshit artist who stokes fear among the under informed.

You better get your ass out and vote Tuesday. And take dozen of your registered friends to vote with you or I'll stop posting cool stuff ;-) But seriously, get out the vote. Start talking about voting today and make the people in your life vote. All the best.

  • Thanks for posting!!! Grateful to Stewart for bringing these people onto the same stage, willing to make light of their "brand" images!!! Years ago, Cat Stevens took himself very seriously...doubtful Ozzie ever did, however!

  • AWESOME!!

  • Magic! :)

  • Wonderful Yusuf !!!

  • Awesome. Thanks for posting. Go Ozzy!

    \m/ >< \m/

  • Love Love Love all of these men for sharing their Peace of Mind, while dispersing Fear. And can someone tell me why Cat sounds so fantastic after so many years?

    Oh yeah PEACE (~:

  • First!
