  • Should I buy this Camera now? Almost 5 years later?

  • That's exactly what we do with my grandma

  • Step 1: Pause in betwwen of 0:18-0:20

Step 2: Make the video quality to 720p (HD)

Step 3: Make it into fullscreen

Step 4: Press the Print Screen button

And that is my current desktop background :D

  • this cam is good, but i don´t know how it works in the night.

  • Damn that bondage scene kinda turned me on.

  • I agree... I guess he was trying to demonstrate low light?

  • @Clintonman I'm sure your Panasonic Handycam is great for what you do. What i liked about this camera was the ability to go into full manual. Your consumer cameras don't give you that luxury. The price was neccessary to have that level of control over my projects.

  • I think the sad part is, I get better video with my TM700 which isn't even on the same price level as this beast. What a waste.

  • please some one help me.

my hvr-v1u, the shots are super super dark.

i cant even film inside because its so dark.

what can i do? the nd filter is off!

  • @Kminatz You just need to actually read up on the subject. All DV and HDV cams seem to record bad low light until you learn the basics of shooting in low light. One of the easier tricks is to set the exposure on auto and then point the cam at a darker area (often dow toward your feet) and then lock the iris. When you point it at your subject it will be much brighter now. You might have to do it 2 or 3 times till you get the exposure just right. It's all just common sense really.

  • @gmdinformation in the end my camera was the problem the chip was broken and the iris was stuck at f11

  • @Kminatz Ah--that'll do it! :-)

  • The Sony HVR-V1u or Panasonic AG-HVX200 ??

not sure out of the 2 to buy. used of course.

  • haha the last part reminded me of every student film ever made

  • for the indoor scene, at what settings did you specifically have the camera at?

  • Not very impressed with the nature shot quality on the nature shot. Did you use a filter or something? but awesome quality on the short film shot. And for everyone who does'nt read the video highlight "This is soom test footage I shot as well as a clip from my short film retribution." READ..

  • lol people are weird, how you go from nice sunset in a grassy, meadowy type place, to a guy with a sheet over his head struggling to get out? da fuuuuucckkk? very good quality though, ty for upload

  • The pillow case dude was just going crazy! Very good quality, though. Is there a particular program you prefer for ransom notes?

  • WHAT THE FUCK?

  • the bondage bit was a bit weird.

  • sooo.... you bought the cam to film your trapped victims?.. okay!

  • beautiful footage. how do you transfer it to make keep the HD footage so clear?

  • I'm going with Panasonic. The HMC-150 is tapeless and it shoots in 24p/30p/60p/60i/720p ...and you don't have to mess with tapes...

  • True my friend, however the HMC-150 only works with the AVCHD Codec software on Final cut 6.1.6. If you have an older version, your going to have massive problems. HDV codec is easy to use and tapes work well. Plus cheap!

  • what setting did you adjust to give it that look?

  • Absolutely! That's what I use. Check out the rest of my work. Very little is done on another camera.

  • is this camera compatible with a mac and fcp?

  • yes! any editing software or computer

  • all cameras are compatible with mac

  • Actually this is with the stock lens , no adapters, all I did was adjust the settings to be more film-esque.

It gave me the results I was looking for.

  • @SHOOT4EDIT how? can you change it to 24fps? If so does it also have 60 fps as a setting?

  • Looks great. Did you use a lens adapter by any chance?

  • is that shot of you strapped to the desk the mic with the boom windscreen on it? if so... great sound!!!

  • thats it! im buyin the fuckin thing!!!!!

  • The colors are amazing in the driving shot...What fps was it on?

  • Okay, I have chosen my camera.

  • I want this camera so badly...one day...

  • did you do the 2:3 pull down conversion to 24p or is this 60i

  • amazing colors!

  • I loved this camera when I had it. I think I'll get the HVRV5U due out in december

  • Man the driving shots are BEAUTIFUL. I want this thing.
