It would probably not gain so much respect as its actually a bog-standard simple piece and doesnt convey emotion or virtuoso (asian-level) composition skills like the more technically complex pieces. Back then it was more about how technically complex the music was than how good it actually sounds.

There is a big problem with saying this is "orchestral music" or symphonic music. This is a world apart from classical symphonic music, and the fact that this is played on stringed instruments does not make it somehow more closely related. Frankly, I'm quite glad that symphonic music is nothing like this.

@MrPatrickWaller you may be o to something there, or it could just be that Coldplay is pretty instrumental to begin with, and the band is always thinking about the best way/instruments to present their songs with, so they lend themselves rather well to covers of this sort.

Where VSQ truly impresses me is where they cover some of the less instrumental songs/bands, and makes them leagues more enjoyable than they already were.
