i never seen these new trams yet only on you tube, but although they are modern and up to date, the flexity 2 will never have that same charecter as the Balloon the Brush or even the OMO trams

Whats the point of these "bendy trams" ,which are designed to go around corners easier, when the tramway in between Blackpool and Fleetwood is basicly a straight line? Waste of money which could have been better spent elsewhere in the town

People go to Blackpool for the old tramcars and will not be interested in these. In San Francisco they run the F Line with all heritage trams and it is very popular. The Breda LRV's used on the MUNI are look much better than the Blackpool trams, I can see crowds waiting for the remaining heritage trams to arrive and avoiding these uninspiring Euro-trams!

The way they carried on you'd have thought it was the second coming. I like Bombardier products but it's *just* a commuter train. And I agree with others here, the livery is quite unfortunate.

Who was the old duck who cut the ribbon? She looked rather bored by it all.

@littlemisslogical86 don't blame the council! blame everyone's mad desire to travel by car! As soon as everyone took to the roads they didn't care about the tram. Now that fuel is just too expensive, a sensible healthier option (for humans and the environment) is becoming much more useful again!

An amazing vehicle! Having witnessed the failure to get trams off the ground in Leeds we can only look with envy at Blackpool, I`m sure locals will appreciate riding on these to Fleetwood. What isn`t visible is the impact economically this tram upgrade will have on Blackpool, it has the potential to turn the place around for the better.

Nice tram, but the livery is drab .Also what people want is a reliable service and more old trams out with a proper herritage livery not plastered with adverts that make it difficult to see out. The best advert for the tramway is a fleet livery that is smart. Would you put adverts on your car, yet we are trying to get people out of cars into plastered vehicles with few seats and have to stand.

Also for the cost of the new trams , the old car could have been rebuilt as in USA Sab francisco.
