From Rhodes to Vidin all the churches and cathedrals gave prayers of thanks to God, for granting Vlad such marvellous victories over the turks. The West, as we know it today, owes a great deal to vlad, as to other heroes of the Balkans :)
The head of Vlad Dracula was preserved in honey. It was sent to Istanbul where the Sultan had it displayed on a stake as visual proof that the Impaler was dead!
