Mechanical crossing bells are better for sure; but have been replaced by mechanical bells. If you like the Bredas, this line is going eventually be all Breda as the Siemens are going to replace some older Japanese equipment.
Hey, thanks for commenting. Actually, those aren't houses, but businesses! The trains on this line actually travel right next to houses further on down the line. You should check out a few of my Metrolink videos to see how close some houses are to larger, diesel trains. I like what appeals to you; you didn't mention anything materialistic. ;)
I love the Bredas. They need to put them on the rest of the lines. The others seem outdated by a long shot now.

I like the true ring of more traditional rail crossing bells. I do like those breda rail cars better than those siemens.

really nice clear vision - love those houses near the train line (I wouldn't mind living near a line - sound of life and ppl living appeals to me)
