I remember when I first beat this boss. I had no idea what I was doing, and very little strategy, so in the end, I lost all my purples, and didn't have enough pikmin to carry the treasures back, so I only got Louie and had to come back down and fight him all over again to get the treasures. It was annoying, but worth it.

again go for fire and destroy it and only electricity is left so just stay in the arena and attack and your on the 2nd part just get all your pikmin and attack. (The worst the 2nd form can do is throw your pikmin off it) Just keep attacking and it will be dead.

I have an okay strategy I guess:

Bring every yellow pikmin into the arena and if the boss uses poison or fire get out of the arena and if it uses water just blow your whistle on the yellow pikmin that get hit and switch to the other captain to blow on his pikmin and if the boss uses electricity get back into the arena and throw every yellow pikmin you have at the water weapon (Use the electricity as an excuse to attack) and if it uses electricity again destroy the poison and than when it uses it

I've played a lot of games, and Pikmin 2 was one of the cutest. It was also one of the most grossly bizarre games I've ever played, and the sheer size, existence, atmosphere, and background music of the Titan Dweevil make it (for me) the most epic final boss I've ever fought. It will take something incredible to beat it's pure awe.

OH MY GOD, I battled this boss when i was in like, 3rd grade, IT SCARED THE LIVING SHIT OUT OF ME! I walk into the center thinking "Sweet, free treasure" then that thing pops out, and I nearly lost all of my pikmin. It took me like an hour to finally kill it, about thirty minutes in I was saying to myself: "HOW DOES THIS THING DIE!?

I fought it with 30 yellows, lost 4, but killed it in 30 minutes.

I didn't lose any pikmin to the titan dweevil.

Take 20 of each pikmin with you, leave all of your pikmin except 4 yellows by the geyser, when it attacks with the monster pump, switch back and forth between leaders to save drowning pikmin, take out monster pump and Shock therapist. get reds, take out Flare cannon, and let the whites take out the comedy bomb, then attack the disarmed dweevil with all pikmin, if done with enough skill, you shouldnt lose any pikmin.

@cornskinner Your all wrong. The final boss will be a Baby. Pikmin are only about the size of a dime, and the baby wouldn't know any better. Heres how it would play out: At the end of the final area, called "The Boxed Desert" (a sand box) There would be a binkie that the Computer says "Is worth at least 5 times as much as anything they had ever found before!!!" As you take it back to the ship, the ground would rumble and the baby would yell "MINE!" and kick over all the onions and then fight you

You know what had been cool in Pikmin 2?

If your in the dream den, and you don't get the treasures in a certain time, The sky will rain one of the Titan dweevil's attacks at random and it will keep persisting until you leave the floor or all of your pikmin die.
