No...of course you have to learn the basics of keyboard instruments, be it a keyboard like this, a piano or a harpsichord. Do you play an instrument? Could you, if so please inform me whats so "interesting" about his playing? Is it how fast it is? Or how unmusical and boring it is? Random chords is not difficult to play, neither is chromatic scales or octaves in one hand. Most classical musical students will learn more technically demanding as well as musically demanding pieces -

@AdiMercury I consider Jordan technically skilled not only for his awesome speedy solos without watching, but also because he's able to use feet to change layers while playing so fast. It's not something people can do easily, especially if you add the fact that he smiles almost every time he changes layers.

That skill reminds me of Buckethead, who usually watches his public while palying the most difficult solo parts.
