  • How can he play so many different samples without lifting his hands of the keyboard? Does he have a pedal board or something? I'm just guessing, I'm a total n00b of keyboards.

  • This is what God looks like playing in heaven.

  • is jordan rudess the one making the soundtracks of tom and jerry? :D

  • Não tenho nem Palavras , + para não ficar só nessas palavras Jordan é o melhor da Atualidade !!! Na minha Opnião !!!!!

  • Imagine getting fingerd by him, the lady would start burning!

  • What do they call the song in the beggning? If it is 'Universal mind' who have done it? ´

    Thanks

  • @Rippedtunes "Universal Mind" was composed by Liquid Tension Experiment, but that part is a reference to "Enter the gladiators", a famous circus theme.

  • like if u are a keyboard fool and only came here to look at Jordan's freaky fingers

  • Wow.. you is crazy, man.. haha.. god blessed you..!

  • @chivasoft After watching this, I sent myself to Ebay

  • i think him a crazy boy. ini nih keyboardist favorit ana...

  • Stop comparing Jordan Rudess to god! I mean, he's good, but he's no Jordan Rudess.

  • this guy is a SUPERFREAK!!

  • How does this cat switch to different sounds throughout? Pedal, programmed?

  • @crivera88 I think it's a combination of both.

  • @crivera88 he has the patches programmed in the right order, then he just cycles through the list with a foot pedal

  • umm .. how can I play like you :'(

  • Dance is so fucking confuse

  • I hope I live to see the day I can listen to the Dance of Eternity and not get confused...

  • thats the problem with most of the crazy bands of today, not enough Jordan Rudess.

  • Hey could someone explain to me how does he change the sounds???

  • @draiden2kx A pedal

  • 1:00 - ONE. HAND.

  • amazing

  • There's no mistake here, this guy defines it all. If anyone is mistaken, it's us.

  • Jordan's the greatest keyboardist of all time... I just wish he chose better sounds to use than all those goofy DT one's he uses... they are all so cheezy

  • HOLY FUCK A MISTAKE HE'S AWFUL HOLY SHIT, He's not playing something that nobody in the world can do like he does or anything, mistakes shouldn't EVER happen!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • no wonder he is on dream theater

  • jajaj

  • he is my piano hero!

    rudess you ROCK!

  • When I watched this, sent my keyboard to ebay

  • there was more than one mistake in this video rofl I'm not sure why people are making such a big deal.

  • mistakes in human,

    WAIT. he's not human

how do you make a mistake jordan rudess????

  • 1:06 is that really a little little mistake? it's very rare that the guys from DT don't play everything perfectly... anyway, jordan is the god of keys and no one could ever reach him.

  • @zakkwyldeverehrer It's alright to make a mistake XD

  • @themrmustazz wrong note or wrong finger, or both xD

  • @zakkwyldeverehrer I.....don't see a mistake?

  • @zakkwyldeverehrer they make mistakes sometimes, I've seen them live twice and heard only a couple mistakes

  • @zakkwyldeverehrer I take it you're not counting LaBrie? :P Actually Petrucci misses a few every now and then. But yeah, they're all so awesome at what they do, they hardly ever mess up. :3 Mah favorite band.

  • @zakkwyldeverehrer i dont know if thats a mistake, cause I think in Instrumedley, thats how it goes.. not 100% sure though

  • @zakkwyldeverehrer vitalij kuprij ???

  • easy shit

  • 0.0 (drools)

  • which is the name of the first song?

  • @mozbet1984 the name of the original song is "Enter the Gladiators", which is a Circus Song,

but it is also the very final part of the song Universal Mind, by Liquid Tension Experiment

  • @pinesspein9 thanks!!

  • @mozbet1984 It's called "Universal Mind." Technically it's not a Dream Theater song because it's by The Liquid Tension Experiment, which was an instrumental band formed by Jordan, Mike P., and John P. from Dream Theater, and Tony Levin.

  • Man, if only this guy could play piano...

  • uti puti

  • it would be interesting seeing how he makes a battle against janne wirman from cob

  • LOLOLOL I just could not stop laughing at the begining

    Rudess is my idole

  • wow, he's faster than buckethead on the guitar :P

  • HE'S INSANE!!!!!! One of the best musicians ever, i want omnisphere so bad!

  • Comment removed

  • My wizard, my hero <3

  • I want a Jordan Rudess action figure.

  • Time Warp needs to do an episode on him.

  • @TheImageOfInsanity

    Yeah they should! :)

  • HE CAME FROM A PLANET CALLED KEY-PAX.

  • i would sacrifice a dog to see him play a liszt piece

  • @artsygan

    He probably cant.

Why are you all baffled by this keyboard monkey? All hes doing is playing chromatic scales and some octaves... its horribly unmusical and boring, and what hes doing isnt even that technically difficult

  • @FranzLisztian So If I pick up a keyboard I could play what he's playing? Without trying too hard? Do you even play instruments? IF you think you are better than this guy then put up videos, Cameras are only 75$. You have cool videos, but don't hate until you can be on the level of the person you dislike.

  • @ISesseriI

No...of course you have to learn the basics of keyboard instruments, be it a keyboard like this, a piano or a harpsichord. Do you play an instrument? Could you, if so please inform me whats so "interesting" about his playing? Is it how fast it is? Or how unmusical and boring it is? Random chords is not difficult to play, neither is chromatic scales or octaves in one hand. Most classical musical students will learn more technically demanding as well as musically demanding pieces -

  • @ISesseriI after 2 to 3 years of piano practise. so why is this so interesting? why do all of you find this so interesting, and for the love of god why do you all think its so technically demanding? its NOT

  • @FranzLisztian Prove it or GTFO. No flamers on my videos. They're annoying.

  • @themrmustazz

Prove what? That its not difficult?

  • @FranzLisztian If you say that it's not difficult to do it, then play it yourself, post a video response to this and then we'll judge if you can be compared to Mr. Rudess. Or maybe you could challenge him on his very Youtube Account.

  • @FranzLisztian Exactly, what you are saying is that I need to sit down, and spend another 2 or 3 years of my life to play an instrument I do not enjoy playing. I enjoy it because I am obviously a different person. It's the same as me questioning why girls enjoy listening to Justin Beiber, I don't understand it but they do. You dislike him because he plays "simple" things but to a person who cannot comprehend something like Arabesque No.1 it's amazing.

  • @ISesseriI

Fair enough, your argument seems solid. Carry on listening to this. Just keep in mind that there are way more difficult keyboard works than what hes playing, so if you want to be baffled you should check those out.

  • @FranzLisztian Yeah, I just can't comprehend playing this is more like it, I understand where you come from, I play the guitar and people always ask me to play something like thunderstruck when there are harder and more skillful things to play.

  • @FranzLisztian Commenting on a Jordan Rudess' video about how everyone is "baffled by this KEYBOARD MONKEY" is just as pathetic as screaming and crying for attention. You DO know that Jordan Rudess is one of the most respected keyboardists/pianists nowadays, and that his talent is totally undisputed, and yet you dare to underestimate each and every one who likes his job? Anyone is able to not like him, but be honest to yourself, denying his talent is like denying his baldness, pointless.

  • @FranzLisztian Technically not...but he's very fast!

  • @AdiMercury I consider Jordan technically skilled not only for his awesome speedy solos without watching, but also because he's able to use feet to change layers while playing so fast. It's not something people can do easily, especially if you add the fact that he smiles almost every time he changes layers.

That skill reminds me of Buckethead, who usually watches his public while palying the most difficult solo parts.

  • how he switches the instruments??

  • @xFesx he's got a pedal that allows him to change instruments

  • @themrmustazz Thank you!

  • @xFesx You're welcome ;)

  • 1:00 What the Hell?

  • he has ten brains

  • jordan ruddess....The only man who ever played death waltz and circus galop at the same time. WITH ONE HAND ON TWO KEYBOARDS.

  • @TheWhocares233 Hey man!! Send me a link and le me see it!!

  • @Khalyban1 i was kidding Neither of those songs can actually be played by a human...

  • The first part is from Thunder and Blazes. It's a fairly cliche circus song.

Of course I still can't play it that fast...

  • @ZachValkyrie well, that's known as the circus theme called "Enter the gladiators"

About thunder and Blazes, dunno what you mean XD

  • hey, can have some keyboards? looks like you've got enough

  • good !!

  • Jordan rudess has no fingers.

    Fingers has Jordan Rudess

  • maybe the best keyboard player in rock history....

  • lol the start is funny as hell

  • this guy is teh sh17

  • 0:50 That part is.. Oh God, I love you Jordan!

  • O: maybe u can be a game pianist !!!

  • MAESTRO !!!!!!!!!

  • its bad quality so it looks like he's not even touching the keyboard! :)

  • @ALLTHETIMEMUSIC1 he touches it, don't worry XD

and yes I know it's not a perfect quality ;P

  • wow! amazing

  • I Looooove Endless Sacrifice Solo *---* It's so cool in the midle oh the heavy instrumental part.

  • The Dance of Eternity. Amazing!

  • LMAO . .

  • he redefines speed and melody...now THAT is a genius

  • he's good

  • Best pianist/keyboarder ever!

  • @FearlessSpinner mmmmmmmmmm???????????????

  • @FearlessSpinner no he isn't

  • @FearlessSpinner you are wrong buddy and if you ask Jordan this himself he would humbly agree :)

  • @clipbrowser True but still hes the best for me and apparently for others aswell :D

  • @clipbrowser Meh I don't know if on this level it even makes sense to still talk about better or worse. You're right of course, but really on this level of technical skill I think it doesn't matter. He can propably play just about everything he'll ever need for DT and his projects.

  • @FearlessSpinner have you ever heard keith emerson?

  • @martin2sax Im an avid prog fan...so yes!

  • does he have enough keyboards?_?

  • there answer to that is always no.

  • Well, just to see, he's got...infinite keyboards, I-phone, Haken continuum, keytar...

He could open a market to sell something XD

  • @themrmustazz He designed some of them with Korg so I guess some of them were given to him.

  • Ti piacerebbe suonare da ridicolo come lui!!Come non capisci un cazzo di musica....e con questo chiudo!

  • i wish i can do that on my keyboard

  • I WANT HIS KEYBOARD AND SKILL *_*

  • LMAO, that part in Universal mind always cracks me up.

  • I WANT HIS KEYBOARD *_*

  • I WANT HIS SKILL *_*

  • Practise.

  • 1:01 with one hand, how is that possible

  • its possible because its jorden rudess. i dont think anyone else can do that with one hand

  • I can. I've the original sheet music of the song

  • you just to be precise and have speed relatively easy for a pianist like himself

  • its one of his signature riffs that he uses in Metropilis pt 2 scenes from a memory on the dance of eternity

  • what do you call that sound he's making on 0:42 ? :)

  • the left hand is lake a bass and a layer and the right hand is a metal pad

  • its just fucked up

  • i'm not gonna be surprised if jordan could change the sound only with the power of his brain!! My god !!!!

Anyway he has a pedal that send the program change

  • totally agreed!!XD

he actually used the famous boss fs-5u when he was using the Kurzweil synth.. but I don't know what that is now :)

  • @amonxxx that explains a lot

  • how does he change the sound so of his keyboard so quickly?

  • Pedals i think.

  • Pedals or something

  • Foot-Pedal

  • He uses pedals, that is the best way to change sounds imho. :)

  • jordan plays faster than the sound!!! :D:D he's a fucking great keyboarder!!!

  • He fucking rides lightning.

  • jordan is greatest keyboarder :D

  • WTF?

  • holy crap!

    that amzing

  • very VERY creative, love it

  • i just cum, in my shit

  • ....what?

  • hahauhuahuahuhua

  • Jordan is a very proggressive keyboarder

much fantasy and great style ^_^

  • WOW!!!

  • I just shit myself

  • holy fuck I cum in my shirt

  • holy shit!

  • while he's playing, how does he change the sounds ?

  • pedal

  • lol

  • this isnt Dance of Eternity either, it's the last part of Universal Mind, from LTE. As for him, he is my best idol.

  • This is so Dance of Eternity! That's the entire first section of it! Haven't you heard it before?

  • <3 your irony :)

  • endless sacrifice is crazy!

  • The solo in "The dance od eternity" is JUST AMAZING O-O, unbelieble, great, incredible....

Is Jordan Rudess a human or is he a GOD? O_O

  • Jordan Rudess... are you crazy? your solos are amazing! (remember: i'm your master)

  • He's so fast. He's like a claymation character.

  • That was cool!

  • I love his keyboard sounds, like in metropolis.

  • he is a sick person

  • this is awesome LOL
