@jrmetmoi =Oh man I just reread the intro..they played along with a band called The Mutants. That is so sick & so righteous/riotous. As for the 'also look Ok to me" but obviously twang deprived crowd I'll respond " The way they dance/sing is just the way they.." & god bless em Lux & Co got em on their feet. Shockrocktherapy rules
Saw these at the Manchester Hacienda in 83 or 84 and it was one of the best gigs ever. Lux Interior was dressed in a black bin liner and towards the end of the gig he flopped into the crowd and surfed around the crowd. They put him back on stage minus the bin liner and he was completely bollocko! Fantastic...
It was meant at least as an ironic or funny idea...but ultimately the band brought some joy & animation & howlingly good rockabilly into their feet & elevated their soles/souls...just like Lux & Co always did for all the rest of us..ESPECIALLY those who saw them live..they used to do Halloween shows (only Zappa did that@the time) & for a band that sang about death & 'ghastly' stuff..they were as 'lively' to watch & experience live as maybe any...un-dead (ie alive)or undead (zombie)make me 'walk"
i still wonder sometimes not only how they got this job but why they did it, regardless i think it is so cool of them to play great music for people in the mental hospital
Lux on an interview on YT said that 14 people escaped from that loony bin after that show.

I use to work at Tower of Video in the late 80's and we had this video. I watched it several times. So awesomely crazy.
