  • Lux on an interview on YT said that 14 people escaped from that loony bin after that show.

  • good music save our souls,rightyright..

  • The people in their mostly don't look that......far gone at least not to me anyway.

  • @jrmetmoi =Oh man I just reread the intro..they played along with a band called The Mutants. That is so sick & so righteous/riotous. As for the 'also look Ok to me" but obviously twang deprived crowd I'll respond " The way they dance/sing is just the way they.." & god bless em Lux & Co got em on their feet. Shockrocktherapy rules

  • one flew over cramps nest

  • Thats some weird shit

  • pocho la pantera ahi adelante bailando con un vestidito!! temaso

  • Fucking awesome

  • This is the best idea I think I've ever heard.

  • They're not mental patients.......they just needed some good music.

  • Saw these at the Manchester Hacienda in 83 or 84 and it was one of the best gigs ever. Lux Interior was dressed in a black bin liner and towards the end of the gig he flopped into the crowd and surfed around the crowd. They put him back on stage minus the bin liner and he was completely bollocko! Fantastic...

  • It was meant at least as an ironic or funny idea...but ultimately the band brought some joy & animation & howlingly good rockabilly into their feet & elevated their soles/souls...just like Lux & Co always did for all the rest of us..ESPECIALLY those who saw them live..they used to do Halloween shows (only Zappa did that@the time) & for a band that sang about death & 'ghastly' stuff..they were as 'lively' to watch & experience live as maybe any...un-dead (ie alive)or undead (zombie)make me 'walk"

  • I use to work at Tower of Video in the late 80's and we had this video. I watched it several times. So awesomely crazy.

  • The Cramps and the Cuckoo's!

  • The busted bass drum head is on display at the R & R HOF in Cleveland.

  • 0:35

    Looks like Steven Seagal

  • @DerrEinzige more like Danzig

  • Ah for the days when "political correctness" was just two unrelated words.

  • Greatest moment of Rock n' Roll history...

  • i still wonder sometimes not only how they got this job but why they did it, regardless i think it is so cool of them to play great music for people in the mental hospital

  • @carousel66

The Mutants set it up, they played before the Cramps that evening!

  • Ivy, you deserve the best.......still, Lux will always be here in our thoughts

  • R.I.P. Lux

  • THANKS!
