I made about $1200 last month but between eBay and Paypals fees I got screwed, ended up paying $600 in fees thats insane. I am thing about trying ebid at least they don't rob you blind.
I signed up for Ebid.net because Ebay is becoming a joke for sellers and the fee's are sky high and I can pass along savings in my prices to my buyers Ebid. I am at the moment slowly but surely moving all my auctions across to ebid and have noticed the increase of traffic through the site. They certainly are the future. Why would i want to pay £350 a month in ebay fees when i now only pay around £2 a month using ebids gallery auctions.
lol £2 is that because you only sold maybe 1 item on ebid? The only thing ebay is good for now is selling items you think no one will buy, such as CDs, if you charge £1.50 for postage you'll reclaim your fees since the fees will be around 50p if listed for £2.00. I'm moving to ebid to sell expensive stuff though, no way am I paying £20 commission for an £100 item it should be illegal for a company to increase fees if it reaches a certain monthly revenue.
A $100 item will cost you only $2 FVF if using gallery auction. In other words, eBid charge only 2% FVF whatever the item price ends up and they don't include the shipping cost either. This is based on a seller+ lifetime membership at $49.99 (half price at the moment) and for that you also get 5 free stores with unlimited listings.
ebay suspended me without warning so ive joined ebid it much better the people are friendly and a real person emails you not automated crap like FEEBAY.
eBid does rock! I've been ripped off for thousands from greedbay... (my first 6 months) on fees selling World of Warcraft trading cards and loot cards. All listed on eBid now with 0 fees!
Isn't feebay firing a whole bunch of employees, 1600 I think. They aren't doing so well.
The new york times say that ebay has growth in the single digits while internet sales have been in the double digits.
