  • How, can somebody tell me, do you connect a AN200 to a computer, and where can you get the editor? I may just have to buy the AN1x...however I hear that the editor can be used with it also. Do you know the answer...I've been scouring the web for two days? lol Also can the editor work with windows xp or windows 7?

  • @IanCanefire You connect the AN200 to the computer with a MIDI cable. So you need a midi-interface for your computer. I think the editor is windows xp only. The editor for the AN200 actually IS the editor for the AN1X, it's the same software.

  • Battery is very easy to replace it is socketed so no soldering required. All factory defaults are stored in ROM so you just hold down 7+8+9 while turning the power on and select option 9 to reinitialize everything. once you swap out the battery and your good for another 10 years or so. Long live the AN1X!

  • n1x is a great analog replicating synth and is as pure as your gona get to an original analog feel without question. i program in very detail and i have lots of analog synth . and the juno 6 was the one i did like most . but what i can say is the juno 6 as very sharp attack time mainly because its analog ? but if you program the an1x in the right way you can infact produce it the same, and even better, i have been around for sometime in the music world had something like 30 years with analog

  • nice demo

  • what do you do when the battery dies, when you pu the battery back in (the new one) are the pre-sets and patterns still there, what do you do? it would be a pick help if you let me know, I would like to buy one shortly.

  • @realguy640 Sorry to say man, that this synth isn't in my posession anymore, so I couldn't say. The safest option though is backing it all up (sysex-midi -> google it) and then replacing the battery. If you're lucky though, it already has a decent battery.

  • @realguy640 All the patches can be restored from the synth (you have to do a key combo to reinit the synth - google it). No need to bulk dump then re-dump *unless you have custom sounds on board you wanna save first*

  • Very nice!

  • Roland JP-3000

    Yamaha AN1x

    Korg MS-2000

Which of the main VA synths of the 90s is the best buy?

I already have a Roland SH-32 and microKorg which is the same as MS-2000.

    So I'm wondering about JP-8000 vs AN1x

  • I would take the JP8000 over the AN1X. But it's a totally different thing...

  • @se7ense7 Hands on control aside, the AN1x has the best value, best keyboard and deepest synthesis. (It can also emulate the stock JP sounds no problem but do things the JP can't).

  • @haikousei lol i already got jp - now just need this

  • @TheDLovas. My interest has changed to real analog since my last post. Now ive got Jupiter 4 & 6, Yamaha CS10, CS30, and looking for a Moog Rogue.

  • Juno 60 is heel erg mooi!

    Grtz,

    ARD

Juno 106 is riskant ivm slechte voice chips.

  • Love my AN1x. Nice demonstration.

  • Thanks. My plan is to show more basic synthesis on this machine. That's what people on the internet wondering about this synth especially want to hear and see I think. The sqeeks and bleeps is something every synth can do, not all of them make a good stringsound or analog sounding bass...

  • youtube is in need of videos like yours man there is a lot of synths presets sounds videos out there but a very little where you can see a real sound design live ! great synth by the way !

  • Thanks man, there's more on my channel from some other synths I owned.

Your response is really supportive, thanks man, really!

    Grtz from Belgium,

    ARD

  • For sure!

    Grtz,

    ARD
