  • @memphisflash1977 a month ago. jackass.

  • is there a studio version of this song? so far all i found are live versions

  • Fantastic performance from the original outlaw!

  • best tune ever johnny,R I P.

  • how the hell did auto tune get famous when this music is out there

  • @Finkardop Johnny Cash died... nobody was left to make good music..

  • I took a shot of cocaine and I shot my woman down

i love this sons and i love johnny cash

  • @castricum88 do you know about the song 'DELILA' ? Cash of course. It was......

  • I grew up listening to Johnny Cash and I'm still really young so it wasn't that long ago, you are a legend and will remain one forever, you would top all these new "artists" anyday.

  • @wolfspider95 i think most of todays youth have a deep respect for older music and kinda wish they lived back then. i know i do, same as my 8 yr old daughter.

  • @JennelleBelle ive always respected ole skool music of all types .. Countrys somthin I only started listening to during a recent deployment to iraq, but l can already appreciate the legends of country for their impact on music in general.. Really do wish I had started listening to afew of these great artists sooner

    I

    Rip Johnny Cash

  • I like how JC had a long loving marriage to June Carter, but could still write songs 'bout how women piss guys off sometimes, Delia etc.

  • @Kubrickfan1 ever heard Johnny and June sing 'It aint me babe".A good example of what your talking about

  • @lvpeckerwood no I haven't thanks for the tip, I will check it out

  • @lvpeckerwood brilliant version of a dylan classic

  • @memphisflash1977 Ummm Dylan did NOT write this song.. He was just another person to cover it..

It was written by T. J. "Red" Arnall in 1947..

  • @itsmule69 Actually Arnall re-wrote an old folksong called Little Sadie, I doubt anyone but God knows who wrote it in it's original version.

  • What a SONG!!!!.........What a LEGEND!!!

  • badasss !

  • the best singer ever will always be alive

  • RIP Johnny, You ain't no king of country, Your the god or country!!

  • Absolute class. Love the man. Legend.

  • who ever cherps johnny cash should slap there mother in the face for raising such a shmuck. and thats all. you the man cash

  • bonfreakingjovi said, "He (and his music) will always be cherished as the man he was, not as the image they gave him." that nails it right on the head. i would like to add : frank sinatra sang a song called, "i did it my way." bullshit. JOHNNY CASH could have more rightly sang such a song.

  • did he ever record a studio version to this

  • yes I am actualy looking for this right now

  • The man in black never gets old...

  • Cash is King!

    Love this song

  • well said cowboy up

  • This is GREAT !!! Johnny Cash is STILL the MAN !!!!

  • What video?

  • what was the point of makeing the video 9 min long

  • @zap11 for lulz.

  • @WolvenTwilight hehehe

  • We can learn a lot of Johnny! I love his voice, his songs and himselfe! I really love him! By the way great video! Johnny is a awesome legend...

  • This brought back really fond memories of the man in black and all his songs, thanks =D

  • Cash was a giant. His shadow looms over all the posers trying to make counrty music today. They should be embarrassed to call what their record labels tell them to do "country."

  • Well as you i really think Johnny Cash was a great player but we still gota look forward.. Just backtalking every new band is kinda "smallminded".

I mean there will allways be new people.

Hank Williams was before Johnny and still Johnny had the talent to be compared with this legend.. Even if he started out with country after Hank's died.!

  • well said. johnny was great, but there are others. everyone has differant tastes.

  • I think the main thing about new country bands are that their music sounds "canned". There are many exceptions, but for the most part you can list a few themes (love, cheating, and their kids), add a watered down pop or light rock beat with a few bars of guitar solos, and wallah you have a modern country song. Cash is the emblem of music that delt with the hard issues (poverty, death, murder, drugs) that today you can only find in Red Dirt Country. That's why he is still so popular.

  • It's more than that, he goes beyond just country music.

    His music was beyond genre.

He's the epitome of a man who does not take crap. The man who fought for everything he had and never stopped once he got it.

He's the Man in Black, he's more than just a musician at this point, he's an Idol and a Legend.

He (and his music) will always be cherished as the man he was, not as the image they gave him.

He's just the kind of guy that will always be around, regardless of the music most listen to.

  • @cowboyup very good point - i find it really annoying that almost every female country song is about cheating and almost every male song is about how they lost their girl

  • such a great song

this music is way better then most stuff they make nowadays

    tis original n gt caracter

n no im nt old im 18 aha

  • love this song, love johnny im only 20 and since hearing my old man listenin 2 this i've became hooked!!!!!!

  • ME TOO JUST AWESOME AINT HE!!!

  • laid up in the hot joint taken the pills

  • Best song he ever recorded!

  • i love this song

  • johnny cash never wrote this song. TJ Arnall wrote this song and it was recorded in 1947. Cash only changed San Quentin Pen to Folsom pen.

  • john was fantastic,im only 30 and love his music,a record with meaning

  • i love listing to this full of coke every friday and satatday when i come in from he pub amazing

His songs are creative storys, works of art, and lessons fo life

  • " i stuck that lovin' 44 beneath my head" haha love that line haha

  • its amazing how he can relate to all sorts of people, cocaine blues, great song, the circle be unbroken, great song..i wonder what he would wright now, miss you Johnny..R.I.P.

  • Is there any point in 3:02-9:25?

  • no sure isnt

  • JOHNNY;We miss you..no one quite like you.

  • i wish i could find that damn album in my home! i know it's here. i remember opening it and reading about a cockroach crawling from under a toilet and everything being served in tin cups. man oh mighty!...do i miss his music! if i find these albums...i promise to post route 1 box 144...you'll love it CASH fans!

  • Awesome. he was pure rock and roll.

  • actually he was inducted into the hall of fame for rock and role song writer and BLUEGRASS

  • he wasnt rock and roll tho, he made fun of rock stars when they first came out like elvis. he considered himself blugrass/country i think

  • RIP Johnny Cash
